  • "We both had seafood dishes (salmon and white fish). The salmon had a spicy seasoning, but not overpowering. Portions were a nice size not too much, although my wife needed a 'people bag.' Service was polite and attentive. Good wine list. We tried a French red blend that was full bodied, dry and was added to our list for tasting again. Good overall experience and would recommend for a special occasion or a romantic evening."

  • "My husband and I are parents to 4 kids and were able to squeeze a date night in around his work schedule. We chose this restaurant based on internet reviews and were NOT disappointed. We started with cocktails (unique and delicious) and the artichoke mousse (fabulous texture, gorgeous plating, served inside a raw red onion). He had a roasted red pepper pasta with chicken and was thrilled. I had the chicken marsala with roasted corn risotto. the chicken was very good, but the risotto stole that plate. it was fabulous, and im not even a corn person. After such a gorgeous meal, we were both too full for dessert. I plan on saving room next time, as their dessert menu was impressive as well"

  • "Have only experienced the restaurant once. Not adequate for a critique. However, I did enjoy my first visit. Enjoyed the thinly sliced and crispy sweet potato chips, the mushroom soup was delicious, and the yellow-fin tuna sandwich was great but overcooked for rare."

  • "Don't bother heading out here for beer week. Their $16 beer flight appetizer is an outrageous joke. You get a half of a slider, one cracker with smoked whitefish dip, a brie sandwich no bigger than a quarter, and one jumbo beer battered shrimp. It was hard to focus on the beer while i was laughing at the ridiculous manner of serving it up with this plate of bites and charging a very un-special price. It was a very weird experience, one i wouldn't want to repeat. Not to mention that you are in their cafeteria style dining area with families and grandparents. I'm not sure who they are trying to catering to, but it is not beer enthusiasts..."

This particular visit was a real joy since we had a quiet corner ( the last visit, we were entertained with a party table next to us and the atmosphere took away from our evening). Let me note: this was a very uncommon experience usually. We definitely keep Bravo's on our short list of places to go."

  • "Took my wife there for her birthday. The risotto balls were delicious, though a little pricey for $12 when you only get 5. I had the plank salmon with blue crab risotto and scallops and it was amazing. My wife had a pasta dish with pancetta that she nor I thought was very good. For dessert we had the tiramisu and white chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce. Both were delicious. On a side note, this place has the BEST brunch in town."

  • "The Win Schuler restaurants of Michigan, especially the mother store in Marshall were very much a part of my college days at WMU in Kalamazoo. Sixty years later, returning to campus for a theater opening, I went to BRAVO on the recommendation of the desk clerk at my hotel and was blown away. The place is beautiful, retaining much of what was once the Kalamazoo Win Schuler's. That alone guaranteed some degree of success. Then came the staff, directly from central casting and so professional, followed by the food, surpassing expectations. My two guests were as pleased as I."

  • "It had been 10 years since I had been there, when my sister was a waitress. I was pretty young then and not nearly as much off a foodie, but always loved it. As I grew older I had heard great things throughout the years and decided to take my fiance out for her birthday there. Was impressed with everything about it. From the wait staff, their recommendations, the food, the drink, and I wrote aged to have a nice romantic table and they had a wonderful seat next to the fireplace waiting for us. Very excited to go back."

  • "We reserved a table for 2 for a nice romantic dinner. The hostess seated us at a busy table next to the kitchen when there were more private booths available. When asked if there were reservations for the booths she said no and we asked to be seated at a booth. She obliged with an a poor attitude. We were dressed well and polite but will not make a reservation at this restaurant again."

  • "Going to Bravo! was an excellent experience. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful in enabling you to decide what dishes you would like to try. The service was a little slow especially between courses and when we wanted the check. However, it was not so slow as to be annoying. The noise level was great for those of us who like to have conversation, but don't want to shout at one another. I would definitely recommend."
