Will go again.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMTypical old school Italian.Typical old school Italian. Traditional dishes. Nothing fancy, but well executed. Ccalamari appetizer which was solid. Standard dinner salad was fabulous. Carbonara was very tasty but a bit heavy. Companion enjoyed her chicken picatta. Dessert was chocolate -- serious chocolate. Restaurant is on major throughfare in a building that is unimpressive. Owners have done what they can to dress it up. Restaurant was not crowded (Tuesday night) and was very, very quiet. Don't know what would happen if place was full. Piano (style unknown)but not on Tues. night. Would not drive across the Bay to dine here, but if you are in the neighborhood this substantially above average. If I lived in Concord/Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek, I would go back.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AM
