I went to Bravas on the recommendation of a friend, I had no prior knowledge of this restaurant. What a huge surprise! I've been to most the restaurants in Sonoma County, and was expecting a really nice meal at Bravas as well. The food was so completely unique and wonderful, each tapas dish we ordered as unique and outstanding. As there were five of us, we tried a good part of the menu, in fact we had a memorable three hour lunch. I thought I was getting jaded as we have many really good restaurants here, but now I'm not! I am looking forward to going back soon. Taste buds took notice :)

Really enjoyed our time at Bravas on the patio. A great place for a small group like ours (5) to just sit, chat and eat good food. The tapas sharing concept is a fave of mine and Bravas does not disappoint. Good cocktails too!

We enjoyed the outdoor patio on Sunday night and couldn't rave more about our experience. A cool, sparkling glass of cava set us up for a typical Spanish food adventure. We have traveled in Spain a few times and really felt the food was authentic--maybe even better! There was a large group on the patio, ordering the family style offerings, and it looked like a fun place for a group. Will definitely go back again.

Tucked away on a quaint main street of Healdsburg, CA, Bravas Bar de Tapas offers a delicious selection of authentic Spanish cuisine that only the most talented staff can could provide. I felt like I was in Spain, with foliage abound, and the amazing smell of giant leeks bursting with aroma from the barbecue pit. The service was impeccable, however, I would consider the fact that it was opening time at 11:30AM. Service may be slightly delayed if the place is hopping. Either way, I could'a sat there for hours waiting for our delicious food, sipping Spanish wine, and dreaming about my return to this magical restaurant. Shawn

We live in Santa Rosa and have just now made it to this great restaurant. It won't be the last time that is for sure. The food was excellent. I love small plates anyway and this place has some wonderful and unusual plates. Everything we had was delicious. We had a hard time deciding what we wanted because there were so many wonderful choices. The paella was excellent and the beet salad was yummy. We'll be back!

If you can go on a Friday or Saturday night, they have their paella which is fantastic. They run out, so get there by 7:00 at the latest. So, so worth it!!! Try to get a seat on the back patio which is spacious and has heat lamps if it's chilly. Service was phenomenal, food outstanding.

Most of the plates were wonderful and easily shared by 2. I was a little disappointed with the Tuna Belly Salad - I thought it would have fresh tuna belly. The maitaki mushrooms, scallops,Patatas, octopus and Manchgo sausages were all wonderful. Service was a little slow at the end. I would definitely go back.

Good selection of tapas. However flavors were not to our liking. The grilled calamari came out lukewarm and not too flavorful. Tuna belly salad was actually like tuna from a can. Avoid this dish. Grilled shrimp had a nice flavor but overcooked.

We have been here several times, but on this last visit the food was not up to par. The quail, which I have ordered several times, was a smaller portion and not as good as last time, the meat was tough and not as flavorful. The pigs ears we had last year, this year you could barely eat them they were so big and tough. The calamari portion was disappointing for the price. The steak, however, was great. I am hoping the chef has not changed, because last month the food was excellent. Our first food got to the table before the wine. We love the casual, outdoor area.

This was our last stop after a great day of wine tasting. We had a party of 8. We were greeted warmly by the wait staff and promptly seated. I think we actually ordered everything on the menu. Not really but we kept ordering tapas and one was better then the next. Our favorites, the bacon wrapped dates, the paella, the calimari and the steak. We could not stop talking about this place. This was tapas dining at its' best. The range of dishes was wide, so there was plenty of choices to make. I was very excited to try Bravas, but the food was a bit of a dissapointment. The Wine and beer choices were good as were the beets and bacon wrapped dates. The Paella had much to be desired as it had very little safron and tasted extremely salty. The iberico ham was just OK as well...nothing compared to the iberico ham I had in Spain. I may go back for a drink and appetizer, but not for dinner.

We went here for lunch on Monday and liked it so much brought a group back for lunch on Tuesday. Love tapas because of the sharing of food and conversation. Very good wine list, including many Spanish wines that pair well with the food. Extensive, eclectic, well...tapas menu. Everything we tried was of absolutely fresh ingredients, well-seasoned/spiced, nicely presented and left us wanting more (calamari; tomato and watermelon salad; bacalao; chicken, ham, manchego croquets; beet salad; and save room for the rum balls...to name just a few). Very nice patio and outdoor bar, great waitstaff (all of whom work with each other to serve you, so you never have to wait on "your" waiter!). In all, pleasurable and relaxing dining.

This was our fifth time to visit Bravas. We just happened to go on their opening night, and have returned with friends when they visit from out of town. Each time the food seems to get better. I enjoy the small plate concept and the Starks are masters of it. We live about two blocks from Willy's and it's hard not to go there more often than we do. The service was personal and done with skill professionalism. We took a couple of bottles of wine with us and purchased one off of their very excellent wine list. They were nice enough to comp both of our bottles. Just to give readers a heads up, get a dish that has their romesco sauce on it. My favorite.

The sharing & tasting part of tapas bars is the best part! All the food was great, except the chicken croquettes, which were too salty for my taste. I mentioned it to the server & she said she hears that a lot. Kitchen: When servers hear they're too salty "a lot," it might be time to rethink that croquette recipe! There was no AC, so the place really too hot. AC would make a huge difference. We will DEFINITELY be back, but not in the summer. The food was great, the price was very reasonable, the servers & bussing staff were great - polite & helpful but not pushy.

Great tapas, but when you bring a $150 dollar bottle of wine don't think it's too much to expect a wine glass! They use beakers and whilst I appreciate the Spanish/casual approach which is fine for everyday drinking, don't think it's very appropriate for wine country when you bring a special bottle. They have a pingus on their own list - would be pretty upset if they poured that into a beaker too - think at least some advance warning required before they open your bottle.
