The noise can be beat if one goes either earlier or later than the typical dining times. I chose it for Mother's Day because they offered a $49 prix-fixe with a complementary Kir Royale for mom (me)! The menu choices were exactly as shown online, and they were all so enticing that it was difficult to choose---in every course! That's not usually the case with a set menu where I've often found only one choice in each category to stand out. Everything we ordered was superb. I remember the original Brasserie, and love the way it has been updated. It's stunning. The food is always so good and the service is always top notch. It fits all my needs. It's in my neighborhood, it's the perfect brunch, lunch and romantic dinner. I can't say enough good things.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMNoiseI go to Brasserie all the time, both for lunch and for dinner, and my most recent experience there, at 12:30 PM on a Wednesday in a typical work week, was the noisiest ever. I literally couldn't hear my server (who has been my server, completely audibly, many times before). Unfortunately, I also couldn't hear my client, who was sitting about 3 feet away from me.

The prix fixe dinner was delicious...onion soup, hanger steak and a stunning array of chocolate treasures lined up on a rectangular dessert plate.A la carte,the tomato soup was delicious and the sea scallops impeccably prepared. Loved the French baguette.Patina group does an excellent job in giving us a taste of France in Manhattan. Was not surprised that everything was as perfect as ever. My dinner companion is a vegetarian and our waiter was extremely helpful and recommended alternatives to what was on the menu that evening. I have been going there for years and they always treat me like royalty. The food is deliciously prepared and plentiful. The managers are on top of everything and very professional and handsome without being intimidating. The waitstaff is brilliant and the lovely ladies and gentleman behind the bar complete the scene to perfection. I always feel like I'm coming home when I go to Brasserie.
