  • "This restaurant is very well located in the heart of Rockafeller Center but if you cant get a $23 burger cooked right the first time, why bother?"

  • "I really enjoyed my evening here. The food was delicious and our view of Rockefeller Center was fabulous!"

  • "There are not many good eating spots for a nice business lunch in Rockefeller Center, but this place is perfect. It has indoor and outdoor seating, and the inside has a very nice art deco feel to it. The wait staff are also nice and attentive. Food is very good, and I especially liked the tuna tartare."

  • "It is really wonderful Brasserie in New York. Wonderful foods and good wine selection reminds me of Paris. In summer, I will come back to enjoy the outside tables."

  • "Great French bistro cuisine in an Art Deco setting. Limited menue but something for everyone. "Frites", Lobster bisque and grilled branzino, all excellend choices. Service: friendly and forthcoming. Offers outdoor seating with Rockefeller Plaza's view and vibe."

  • "The waiter sat us at the wrong table. When he moved us to our new table, he gave us a round of drinks on the house for the misunderstanding. They also gave us a free dessert when we told them we didn't like the ones we ordered. The service was impeccable."

  • "Two visits in recent weeks, and I have to say it is an impressive place to bring visitors from out of town. My guests raved about the starters: tuna taco and coconut shrimp. The steak au poivre was grilled to perfection - wonderfully red, juicy inside while the outside was crusted and charred. So hard to do that at home. Fish entrees were marvelous: skate and dover sole. Perfect. Manager/Fon helped me impress my dinner guests by making the above menu recommendations and creating a warm, inviting special evening. Thank you!"

  • "Great place if you have clients in town and want a nice place to take them but want it to also be somewhat casual. I've been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner for personal and business meals and have never been disappointed."

  • "Spur of the moment late night dinner after going to see the Gauguin exhibit at MoMA. Restaurant week menu. Food was good. Portions were the right size. Service was excellent and fast. It wasn't crowded at all and I liked that too. Will go back."

  • "Great midtown restaurant. Good service, good food and nice decor. It is a good place for a business or causal lunch or dinner. It also a nice bar with good bar tender."

  • "I discovered this place during NYC Restaurant Week Feb/2014. The service was kind of slow, but very courteous. The ambience is similar to Cheesecake factory, noise and crowding included. The food was good, but the desserts and coffee was average."

  • "You can't go wrong choosing this location for a RW date night here. The ambiance and the food were wonderfully prepared and the service was on point. My advice if you choose this location is to pick the right food, something original you can't get anywhere else. Their burgers and pasta looked good, but try their gnocchi or asparagus salad and you won't be disappointed."

  • "went for dinner Fri night. Food was excellent. Usually I go for lunch. The sauces are amazing. I had the chicken, my husband had the steak w peppercorn sauce, best sauce I have ever had. Drink specials until 7pm. Onion soup was great. Service was great and friendly. I cant wait to go back!!"

  • "We chose Brasserie Ruhlmann because of it's location as we needed to entertain important clients in from the LA. It was a big hit. The ambiance was elegant, sophisticated, a bit of art-deco and old world New York, right in the heart of Rockefeller Center. Food and service were perfection. We will definitely return and hope to have an equally good experience in the future!"

  • "We went for the Restaurant Week dinner, and it was a good three-course meal--I had the mushroom ravioli (which was really a bowl of mushroom puree over one ravioli, but better than it sounds), the chicken with mashed potatoes (sounds simple but the sauce made it special), and the chocolate pudding (really more of a pudding cake, very good indeed). I didn't expect the wine, coffee, and tip to double the prix fixe price--but the wine and coffee were both excellent. I wouldn't mind going back for lunch sometime."

  • "This is a great place right in the heart of Rockefeller Center. Consistently excellent. Ask of a table in the room to the far left as your come in the front door. Great views of RC."

  • "This is a fun place....great ambience, our food was delicious and the service was excellent. I'd asked for a quiet table and we were given one in the bar area.....perfect. I would definitely come here again."

  • "For the first time in 10 years, most of my family was able to be together for the holidays. I made reservation for dinner before the theatre. The service was outstanding! Our server was very cordial and helpful. He knew all the cocktails and wines on the menu. He also knew the menu to the last detail. The food? Fantastic. I had the beef tartare. Highly recommend it. I then followed it up with the Skate. Everyone was thrilled with Ruhlmann's: the ambiance, the service, the location, and certainly the food. I definitely recommend it to all."

  • "Great location across from Rockefeller Center, good food, lots to choose from and kid friendly. Very good French Onion soup. Comfortable interior and extensive wine list. Great chocolate dessert."

  • "If you don't mind spending $25 on a ham and cheese sandwich, and know that that bread, cheese and ham will be beyond outstanding, then this is the place for a lunch. Located across from the Rockefeller Center rink/tree Ruhlmann probably gets some tourists shocked by the sticker prices. For the money on a business lunch it is fairly priced. The service was prompt and polite. Portions were good. I will definitely be back when in the neighborhood."

  • "We were in NYC for New Year's Eve And wanted a memorial experience for our girls, 13 and 10, (away from the time square craze) and we got it! The restaurant sits in front of the tree in Rockefeller Center. It is beautifully decorated. Our server was fantastic engaging the girls and making their special night all about them. The food was wonderful. We could not have asked for a better experience. It is one my girls will be remembering and talking about for years to come!"

  • "I had the best onion soup - and it came with perfect view of the Rockefeller Christman tree. Who could ask for anything more on a cold night in December. Crowds outside...if they only knew just how warm and inviting Brasserie Ruhlmann was inside. Ok, so my sushi was not quite the thing to order after the filling and fabulous soup, but I cannot wait to return to try other items on the menu."

  • "Very nice it was very busy and that was to be expected. The hostess was great . Are table was ready we had a nice view of the christmas tree as requested also a spot reserved for our son who is in a wheelchair as requested. Service was a little slow however we did not mind because we were talking with family that we have not seen in some time. One meal was not what we expected and they were very kind to take it off the bill. All other meals were great. I do like this place because of the location. best in summer because the outside is very large and is across the street from Rock Center. Will go back again."

  • "Even as a New Yorker I still love to see the tree at Christmas and the most wonderful place to see it is here. The food is consistently delicious and the staff is attentive and welcoming."

  • "While our waiter was sympathetic to our gluten-free plight, he and the restaurant made no suggestions, and all the kitchen did as an accomodation was provide a sauceless, unadorned fish with no reduction in the high price of the dish. Disappointing and not recommended for those needing gluten-free cuisine."

  • "We went here for lunch with several children after the Radio City Christmas show and they were so kind to us all -- really stellar service. The maitre d' kept checking on us, and was truly concerned when my son didn't eat all of his tempura sushi, even offering to make something else for him. There was something delicious on the menu for all and best off all we had a gorgeous uninterrupted view of The Tree. Plus is wasn't loud at all. Lunch here during the holidays will surely be repeated."

  • "We were in the city for the Dec. 21st Saturday Night Live show. The tickets came only one week prior, I had little time to find a restaurant - I heard that there may be rain on the way so I searched for a restaurant near 30 Rock. We were welcomed immediately to a friendly staff. We love French cuisine but I felt the menu was limited, the food good but not great. I would probably go somewhere else if given the chance to go for French food again. Our server was knowledgeable and nice. I asked for foie gras (a staple) and they didn't serve it. We ordered the cheese plate for two, my wife and I both ordered fish dishes and had two drinks a piece. With tip - $233. A bit pricey for what we received."

  • "We were spending a pre-Xmas day in the city. We were going to end at Rockefeller Center and wanted to find a spot nearby. Reviews on Open Table were excellent so decided to give it a try. Asked for views of the tree, and got it without question. Service was fabulous, food was wonderful. Quite a gem in the "tourist" area and definitely not the typical tourist trap. Turned out to be the perfect place to dine and end a perfect day in the city. Atmosphere quite nice, maitre'd was welcoming, warm and accomodating. Great dinner - loved the lobster mac and cheese, fish tacos, short ribs, hanger steak - everything was delicious and beautifully presented."

  • "This is a pricey restaurant in a pricey neighborhood: Rockefeller Center. As a one-time event at this time of year, Christmas, it's a great place to be. The restaurant is on the plaza level and our table gave us an excellent view of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. The ambience is strictly commercial. The food was good but not exceptional and service was good considering that the restaurant was quite busy."

  • "Every year my husband and I make the trip from Jersey during the holidays to see the tree and we always book a reservation at Ruhlmann for dinner. Their service is excellent and the food is always very good. This year we got a table that we were able to see the tree while dining. I have always enjoyed this restaurant but at this time of year in Rockefeller Center it's always special."
