A word from Brasserie Provence
Brasserie Provence is Louisville's first French brasserie! We offer casual, upscale dining and traditional French cuisine with a Provencal flair. A large selection of regional and classical French dishes are expertly prepared by Chef de Cuisine Edoardo Bacci, and offer something for everyone at an affordable price. Brasserie Provence offers Southern French wine by the glass, signature cocktails, French, Belgian and local Kentucky beer, and select bottles of wine from Provence and the northwestern US.

Guests can choose between ample seating in the brasserie-style bar, the warm and inviting dining room, and the seasonal outdoor patio. Parties of ten to twelve will be seated at the generously sized chef's table, and parties or meetings of up to 40 can be accommodated in the private dining room.

Join us Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner to experience a taste of Provence!

Diner Reviews
  • "I had the pork chop, which was absolutely delicious, and my husband ordered the rib eye steak, which was the "best rib eye he had ever eaten." The waiter was extremely helpful steering my husband away from the hanger steak since my husband does not like his steak rare, and the hanger steak tastes much better rare or medium rare. Also, when it came time for dessert and there were no sugar-free desserts on the menu, I asked if it would be possible for my husband to have a bowl of strawberries, which he could sweeten himself. The waiter was more than accommodating, and the berries were provided in a timely manner. We had a WONDERFUL dining experience, and will recommend this restaurant to our friends!"

  • "Let's hope they can hold onto the high level of quality and service. Best restaurant in the east end along with Z's."

  • "Weeks ago we had dinner and the service was extremely slow. Everyone can have a bad day so we went back again on a busy Saturday evening and the service was timely, verry attentive but not hovering. A perfect balance. Four of us shared Beignets, Moules Marineres and warm tomato and goat cheese tart with basil. The ingredients in each of the Les Hors d' oeuvers were of supberb quality and each was beautifully prepared. We would certainly recommend giving these a try. We each had a different and delicious entree. This is a nice addition to the East End Restaurant Sceen. Eleanor Maddox"

  • "Exceptional dining experience! I went there with my girlfriend this past Saturday to celebrate our anniversary and my late birthday. The food was great and the service provided by the server was outstanding. The owner really cares for the quality of food and likes to check in with you to see how everything is going. I will definitely be back very soon. Thank you for bringing this awesome French restaurant to our neighborhood!"

  • "Brasserie Provence has fast become one of my regular haunts on the food scene. Be it for a nice lunch during the week or a wonderfully authentic French dining delight for dinner! The staff is always cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable. You feel like you are swept into a piece of the Provence region upon entering, and the menu doesn't disappoint. In my many visits, I've sampled a vast array of culinary delights, and am very pleased to say that none have disappointed. Each dish is executed with the evident love of food that come out of the kitchen. And the Onion Soup is a MUST. The Wine List, or should I say BOOK, is a bit daunting at first, but once you find one that you love, you're all set to go. Go. Eat. Indulge. Enjoy!"

  • "Loved the authentic decor, the calming atmosphere, the nice professionalism of our waiter, the beyond delicious meal, the attentiveness of the staff, the value, and the whole experience! I am looking forward to dining here again soon!"

  • "None of the food has any flavor. Everything very bland except for the mussels. For a French restaurant, the onion soup was very watery, and the broth was so bland. Can't compare, no way. to Mimi's and other local restaurants. Though the waiter said the soup was "to die for." Not !!! We don't expect to come back though we had anticipated a much better experience.."

  • "This visit was my second to Brasserie Provence and it was every bit as good as my first. This doesn't usually happen. The service was deft and attentive, the owner very gracious and welcoming and made a point of coming by the table several times. More important the dishes were delicious, the "frites" were served piping hot, and the bread was superb. Louisville has needed additional French restaurants and Brasserie Provence helps to fill this need. I've already recommended it to several friends. The David"

  • "Food here was very good overall. We were slow to be greeted as no one was on the front door at 7pm. Service picked up from there and we had an attentive waiter who was unobtrusive. The owner dropped by and chatted and that was a nice touch. We had garlic shrimp with parsley, which was a nice blending of flavors. We also had the beef stew with rice and haricot verte (green beans) which were perfectly cooked. Some of the beef on the stew was tough and that brought the overall rating down. We would go there again as the atmosphere was relaxed and elegant."

  • "The first thing to do when you open a French restaurant is to teach the staff about Fench cuisine and wines. The staff here could not correctly pronounce the French words on the menu and were uninformed about the wines and dishes offered. The bartender tried to bluff her way through questions regarding the wine list (at one point identifying a Rhone wine as a Bordeaux blend) and the waiter did not know what Bernaise sauce is."

  • "Had dinner again at Brasserie Provence once again. And, as before, it was a wonderful experience. Our out to town guests, from Chicago and Cleveland, were very impressed will all aspects of the dining experience and compared very favorably with the restaurants in their home towns. As a new restaurant, it has quickly become a top five recommendation."

  • "We had a wonderful lunch, it was like a trip to France . We went to lunch here because we heard so many great things about it. One of my friends got the leg of lamb, a Wed. Lunch special , there is a new one every day. There is also a pasta of the day, my other friend had pasta with red pepper cream sauce, presented in a unique bowl. I had the French vegetable soup with white beans and fresh jumbo shrimp as a side they were both delicious . I will try to be more adventures on my next trip. Looks like you almost can't make an error in what ever you want to order. We had dessert and coffee after, I had a baked fruit soufflé full of berries. This is a slow paced lunch and a good time to enjoy friends, with excellent service"

  • "Went to Provence Friday night with my wife and 13 yr old daughter and had a fantastic night. Food was great. I had the pork chop and they had the chateaubriand and we couldn't decide whose was more delicious."

  • "Food is fabulous. Guy puts on the best and has a great selection of wines to choose. Do one better, let them make the selections, you won't be disappointed. The wait staff is attentive, courteous and friendly. You feel like family when you leave. The menu is varied with a while selection for anyone. However, the beefsteak and frites are superb. Traditional French dishes are fantastic and fish the finest. The bread is fresh and warm. If you have love fine dining...this is the spot."

  • "My husband and I had dinner there on a Friday evening, and enjoyed every minute of the experience. The food was tremendous, the wine list awesome, and the cheese tray appetizer was to die for. Thankfully, we lived through it and made it to the lamb entree that was so delicious - especially the gratin potatoes. And fabulous French press coffee, I almost wept at the aroma. The ambience of this restaurant is casual but elegant, with good lighting, comfortable seating, tables close enough to feel cozy but not closed in. Our service was also excellent, and the owner, Guy, is so incredibly French. If you're a Francophile like I am, that was just the frosting on the cake. For a special occasion or as your neighborhood go-to, this is the place."

  • "We had wonderful service from Tommy. He knows the menu and dishes so he can really be of help in ordering. It is lent so we ordered the sea bass which was great. One friend had Tommy help him and he created his meal from the seafood appetitizers ! This dish turned out wonderful! Guy helped us select the wine and it was perfect."

  • "Perfect food, perfect service, perfect experience. The efforts of the staff, Chef and owner were much appreciated and make this restaurant a must visit. The level of service, quality and value that I received on each visit has been extraordinary. I feel like I got the better end of the deal. You will feel very much at home thanks to the genuine and diligent care that is extended by everyone. A cut above the rest."

  • "We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience on March 14 to celebrate my friend's birthday. The food is outstanding--I had the Sea Bass, my friends had meat dishes that they loved. Very good. . . some outside dining but overlooks parking lot. Food a bit pricey, but very delicious!"

  • "It was our first time. Everything was great from the moment we walked in the door. The waiter was attentive made a couple of recommendations. The food came in a timely fashion, and looked great and tasted even better. The meat was a little rare for our taste (rib eye and Duck breast) We had appetizer (onion tart) soup and salad and main entrée and the bill was under a hundred dollars. It was well worth the trip. Thanks"

  • "The hostess seemed to be put out by our presence; no welcome, no eye contact, and she placed the menu directly on top of our silverware. Who knows how dirty the menus are! Our server was very good, but the whole atmosphere seemed rushed. My entree was good, but my wife's pork chop with lavender tasted like soap."

  • "Menu takes time to get through if you're unfamiliar with French cuisine. Unfortunately for the owner and us, the server was unhelpful - almost as if he didn't know the menu himself. He answered questions but lacked confidence when answering. That being said, the food was very good and a nice change to Louisville's typical easy end fair. The owner was visible and stopped by our table after the food was served for a quick chat. We will be returning to try other menu items. Our selections were the mussels, seafood stew, flash fried chicken finished with blood orange and blackberry gelato."

  • "My boyfriend and I are picky about new restaurants and have a hard time finding new ones that we like. We were so excited to find that Brasserie finally filled those shoes! My ribeye was cooked perfect and the black truffle butter was ridiculous to be soo good. My bf thought his fish was special was okay, but still better than most places and the sweet brioche dessert was an absolute perfect ending to the meal. We can't wait to go back again!"

  • "We had heard good things about restaurant and were looking forward to a delicious meal. We were seated on time when we arrived and the good serviced ended there. After 20 minutes of so I got the attention of the hostess and asked if she cold get someone to take our drink orders. She was very gracious and took them herself. We were well over an hour getting food which was OK but not worth the wait. Eleanor Maddox"
