  • "My friend and I decided we wanted to go wine tasting so we came across this restaurant. Although there website is outdated when we werr seated we asked about the wine tasting and they said they no longer had it. The server came back and said we can do the wine tasting because the website was indeed outdated. So we had 6 glasses of amazing wine and cheese. Also I recommend the chocolate soufflé!! Their cocktails are tasty and the dining experience was amazing! I recommend it for anyone who is willing to go out for a fun night with delicious tasty food."

We have been several times but I will say that the service on this trip was by far the worst. I had to ask twice for a glass of wine and it took forever to come. Also took the server forever to bring the check and then come back with our credit card."

  • "My wife and I dined at Du Vin a few years ago and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a prix fixe meal at dinner with three moderate but very tasty courses for around $25 each. I was surprised to see the limited menu options and a prix fixe around $48 this time around. I settled for the vegetarian risotto for $18. I'm not one to every complain about portions, I much prefer taste over quantity. This was very little risotto, especially for $18. My wife had a chicken dish which was overcooked and also lacked anticipated flavor. Very disappointed and won't be returning for dinner. Lunch is still an okay option."

  • "My favorite appetizers here are all of the cargots. They started doing a mini tasting menu of 3 courses that has potential, however only having it once makes it difficult to gauge. This restaurant has a very cozy vibe and is a great date night place especially if sitting outside in the beautiful Hawaii weather."

The food is very good, the risotto was especially flavorfull! The attmosphere was lively but not so much that you couldn't easily converse at the table. Great place for a nice dinner out."

  • "First time we enjoyed the courtyard tables; second time we sat in the back room. The benches against the wall are not very comfortable. The courtyard setting was charming. The service was very slow both nights.The waitstaff did an nice job of explaining what was happening, why (show @ Hawaii Theater) and when our meals would arrive. The second meal we repeatedly had to flag down our server with inexplicably long delays. I had a seafood special the first night and my wife had the Jindoori chicken, both of which were so good we couldn't wait to return. The second meal she had the pork chop, which was flavorful, but over cooked. My duck confit was very over cooked and the lentil side dish was unusual. Pastries both nights were ok."

  • "What started out as a celebration lunch ended in an afternoon of food, wine and new memories.We were early for our 1:30 reservation but they were still able to seat us at a perfect table near the front door but not in the hussle of the restaurant. ...du Vin has a very bistro atmosphere with indoor and oudoor seating with a varied ambience for each. Don't let the diminutive menu fool you. You'll find scrumptious apps and sandwiches as well as full entrees. The wine list is extensive and fit for foodies as well as the occasional sipper. Their take on an escargot dish made with lobster was the hit. We could have made a meal of the baked brie as well with the wonderful Moet-Chandon. We celebrated a wedding that day and made a wonderful memory."

  • "Took a client to lunch here recently and was my first visit. I was surprised at how slow the service was despite the fact that there wee only a handful of tables occupied. In fact, the waiter took the order of two tables that were seated after us before we flagged him down. The outdoor patio atmosphere (there is also inside seating) is cute and would be probably more enjoyable on a sunny day, but the chairs are very uncomfortable. Food was hit and miss across the table. Overall it was okay. It wasn't bad, but I probably wouldn't return."

  • "This is a small neighborhood restaurant that is really good! It worked like a well oiled machine and out experience was really good! Good French food with a Classic Paris atmosphere. It is small, but reminded us of native Paris restaurants Good wine list, good food, prepared well. The parking is difficult, but is there. You just have to look for it. We took our two small children and the waitress advised why we could do with the available menu. Worked out great! Can't wait to return when we go back to Waikiki!!!!!"

  • "We enjoyed a lovely prix fixe dinner on New Year's Eve at this place. You step off the streets of Honolulu's Chinatown and suddenly you are in a Parisian-style brasserie, casual but classy. We had a very imaginative and well-prepared dinner with a nice selection of wine pairings. I'd recommend ithis place for an evening's relief from the ever-present but usually undistinguished "island" fare."

  • "We needed to choose an intimate setting for friends who aren't very adventurous. Nothing could have been finer: the food was immaculately prepared, pleasantly served and the atmosphere was just right. Maybe the Hebi (Hawaiian spearfish) was one tick too done but that was a minor quibble. All of the flavors were good. The Okinowan potato salad was excellent! I'd love to try this restaurant again. One caveat: parking is hard to find and the neighborhood seems a little run-down."

When you enter, the dark wood bar, hardwood floor and wooden tables transports you to a bistro on a side street in Paris but, take a few steps more inward, then you're in Provence.Enjoy the cocktails or wines before dinner or pair them with your meal.We enjoyed the ambience, attentive service and the authentic French food.Start with the escargots or moules frites that rivals the flavor as those that we eaten in Belgium then enjoy their crispy duck confit with French lentils or steak frites (both are succulent and well-seasoned) and end with a chocolate souffle.You'll be saying "oooh lala"!"
