Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at this new local gem in Hoboken. A bit off the beaten path on the far west side of 1st St., it's well worth the trip. For a new restaurant, the service was impeccable, and the food was outstanding. Very impressive. Kudos to maitre d Serge. Very warm & welcoming. Even offered us a free drink at the bar on the way out. We'll for sure be back.

In a nondescript building off the beaten path is this gem. A nice French staff and chef, very Parisienne like. The ambience nice. A shared mussels or moule ok in wine sauce with garlic and white wine and a baked brie toasty and brown outside and smooth and creamy inside. Lots of menu choices for the appetizers. A shared entree of the fruits de mar with all kinds of the fish foods and the wonderful pasta that was both plentiful fresh and moist and a n elegant cream sauce. And of course the traditional beef Bourgogne with nice portion sizes with onion and potato and the heavenly sauce. Many many old traditional favorites. For dessert, a shared 3 piece profiterole with chocolate dipping sauce and vanilla ice cream could have been store bought but who cares at that point. Overall, a wonderful staff and congenial place so there's only good news. Free self valet parking, etc. A nice glass of French chardonnay and Walla.

My boyfriend and I discovered this restaurant through an Amazon Local deal and it's only a few blocks from our apartment. We liked that the ambiance doesn't really feel like Hoboken. The owner and servers were friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the French onion soup appetizer and the steak tartar entree (although we would have preferred an appetizer portion option). The boar pasta entree, which was misleadingly classified as a stew, wasn't that great. We think this place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood, but we'll be more likely to return for more low key fair because the entrees don't seem worth the expense.

My boyfriend and I went here on a Monday night for my birthday. The host was adorable and greeted us in French. It was about 7:30pm and didn't get too crowded until about an hour later. We ordered the garlic escargot, French onion soup, Poulet Chasseur, and the Filet Mignon with hashbrowns. The appetizers were decent, soup was as expected. Our entrees blew us away!! The chicken with mushrooms was cooked perfectly and was delicious with the potato gratin as a side. His filet mignon couldn't have been better and the sided hashbrowns complemented the steak brilliantly. He also got the Dijon side for the steak and the steak had crispy onions on top. Our meal so SO affordable because the Monday night special was steaks for $ 12.95.

Reservations honored immediately. For a Monday, it was expectedly quiet, but that did not lessen attention and service. The secondary staff, such as bussers, were very attentive and accommodating as well. The manager/greeter was very attentive, stopping by my table from time to time to see how everything went. They all paid attention to my seven year old grandson, which was especially pleasing to me. As far as food, there were many choices, and all the we chose were outstanding.

Football game blasting from the bar area not my idea of a french restaurant experience. Food not authentic french cooking. Coq au Vin came in a deep pot they use for mussels very difficult to eat.

Group of friends for dinner on a Saturday night...we noticed that there was a photographer taking pictures of all the tables. When we asked what it was for, we were told it was for a new commercial. We weren't asked permission, or given any heads up, and it was very uncomfortable. We asked them to stop and were told that no one would ever know it was us in the commercial. Then we waited for an oddly long time for our drinks. One friend waited 30 minutes for a draft beer. Service was extremely slow, which would have been ok, since we were a large group, but then the waiter actually yelled and got in the face of one of my friends when she mentioned that she had received the wrong order. Food was decent but not enough for that experience.

We showed up late on a Tuesday and were greeted by pleasant staff who instead of encouraging us to go somewhere else or hurry up were extremely patient and accommodating to us. The French Onion Soup was hands down the best I've had in Hoboken so far, and I make it my mission to try French Onion Soup anywhere it is on the menu. The mussels were delicious and a very generous portion with a large side of fries. I would definitely go back there again to try the other menu items.

My husband and I came here on a whim. We ordered the escargot, parsnip soup (special of the evening), I had the duck confit and he had the rabbit stew with gnocchi. For dessert we had their maple bread pudding which was divine. We thought everything was delicious from start to finish. Serge was very animated and friendly. We will definitely return.

The staff were friendly, the food fairly good but not great by any means. However the service was uneven. We ordered 3 appetizers - 2 of the same soup and a salad - and the first soup and salad came out, but the second soup was much delayed, with no explanation. The restaurant itself was nice but very noisy, our table had a hard time hearing each other across the table. We'll probably give it another chance but are disappointed that we can't rave about it, as Hoboken needs more good restaurants!

We have enjoyed Café de Soleil in NYC for years and now Brasserie de Paris has come to the other side of the Hudson. Their food is really delicious, be it fish or chicken, the food is carefully prepared and nicely served. Desserts are also good, standard crème brulee, profiteroles and apple tart. A bit hard to find but it is located in a building called the Sky Club. Enjoy

Menu looked good and I was looking forward to French Bistro experience. Real French man greeted you at the door to raise your expectation. Server was friendly. Good start.... well down hill from there. Bread did not come out for 15 min. Appetizer came and French man said bread will come right up. But nothing. We had to ask different waiter 5 min later. I ordered French Onion Soup. I love that stuff. That came right away which was strange. It takes time to heat it up. Right? Sure enough soup was not hot at all. I asked them to re-heat the soup and it did not come back for over 30 min so I cancelled it. Nothing special about main courses. Especially over cooked meat.... If I go again I will just order appetizer but not the main course.

A nice addition to the Hoboken restaurant scene. Great looking space and a staff that wants to please. Unfortunately, there were a few missteps, but they did their best to make things right. A limited selection of tap beer was one, a steak that was woefully overcooked was another, and two espressos after dinner that were less than half full! The bartender was happy to provide us with samples of different drafts to help us make a decision when the two we wanted were not available, the steak was replaced with one that was cooked perfectly the second time around, and two more espressos were dropped off without our even asking to make up for the very short poor that was originally served. Overall, a nice experience and I will return.

We were walking from Washington Street back to our home in the Heights and happened to see this relatively new restaurant. A sign out front said they served brunch and we decided to make a reservation for the next day. The brunch menu was pretty large and reasonably priced, but could have used some fresh fruits or oatmeal options. I had the steak and eggs and my wife had 3 eggs with sausage. The sausage portion was generous- enough to share with me. My steak and eggs ($13) were cooked perfectly and the steak- very tender. The fries it came with, delicious and my wife couldn't keep her hands off them... We noticed a nice room for a small group that we would love to use in the future when we have guests in town. Overall, we would recommend!

Great bistro style decor, service very attentive & sincere. Bar scene was light-a few gents and World Cup game on the tele. Bartender was friendly, engaging & likable, certainly any guy would agree...but could polish up her game (right at "hello", she explained how much pain she was in because of her high heels; she cut her finger on the bottle she used to make my drink, and not only told me but showed me the cut; she had to check the recipe for a Manhattan). Server was genuine & attentive, but not fully versed in French food. Aside from a rain shower from a resident watering his plants on the balcony above our table, the setting was pleasant. Food is classic French and for the most part authentic. Wouldn't run back but wouldn't avoid it.

This place could be very good. However, it wasn't this time. The service was not very good. They tried but were not very good. We were ok that they didn't understand our orders and had to repeat them. We were also ok that they served the wrong plates to us. However, the biggest complaint was that despite stating one member of the group was gluten free and getting confirmation that they had spoken with the chef and checked everything was fine, the person was served with croutons in his salad and a cookie in his ice cream.

Wonderful. I actually booked reservations thinking this was another restaurant that we have been waiting to open... For years. Glad we did. Camembert app and calamari were delicious. Great portion size. Not too small, yet not to big. I had the chicken with bacon and it was delicious. My fiancée had the filet and it was fabulous. They still haven't officially opened and there was an issue that reflected that. We notified the manager Chris who was happy we brought it to his attention, he immediately brought the dish to the cook to show him the issue. He took care of a portion of our bill! Huge! The food was great, and the manner Chris resolved our issue was stellar. Will definitely be back. Hoping to give it the 5 stars!

There is a lot of potential for this new neighborhood bistro in Hoboken. Starters were very good. Onion Soup and Frisée Salad were good. Entrees were just ok - sandy mussels and steak tartare was missing the salad. The restaurant was busy and the food was slow to get to our table especially waited way to long for dessert (over half hour ). Our meal took over 2 hours and 45 mins. Also asked for decaf coffee. Was served coffee that was NOT decaf so add sleepless night to cap it all off. NOT cool. I will chalk it up to NEW restaurant so busy they got overwhelmed. Again I want this place to succeed and I hope once they get the operation to humming along then it will be a welcomed addition to the nabe
