Located in the stylish King West district in the heart of downtown Toronto, Brassaii embraces it architectural heritage, which reflects both the original, raw structural features as well as integrating modern design elements using natural materials to create a decadent, but inviting experience for every guest. The newly renovated facility contains a café, exposed wine cellar, dining area, a chic bar and lounge space as well an events room for private bookings. Open seven days a week for Brunch, lunch, dinner and late night dining, Brassaii also caters to the music and arts crowd by featuring weekly performances and intimate show programming.Brassaii offers aficionados a unique palate that reflects Mediterranean influenced cuisine, created by celebrated Chef Chris Kalisperas within a vibrant, sophisticated multi-purpose environment.

The only issue that I had was with this restaurant was the service. While it was really good, I felt extremely rushed. They took away plates that still had food on them and wine glasses that still had wine in them. We had to ask them to put things back and also had to ask to have a few minutes in between our dinner and dessert, because they wanted to bring it out right away. As soon as our dessert arrived, the bill came with it, and we were not even asked if we wanted anything else. A good restaurant, but not somewhere I would go if you are looking for a long, leisurely dinner.

As always, the food at Brassaii was delicious. We had wonderful service and I will definitely go back again. Their winterlicious dinner choices were amazing and the banana sticky toffee was to die for.

Winterlicious lunch - reserved for 11.30am on a Friday and restaurant was soon packed. But service was excellent, staff was plentiful and attentive, food was excellent. A great success! Never got too noisy as room is quite large.

I've wanted to dine here for over a year and finally took the opportunity with Winterlicious. I called to make a reservation and was told "We're fully booked tonight, sorry." Checked online and was able to make a reservation with no problem. Upon arrival, restaurant did not seem very busy. Interesting. Table for two was very close to neighbouring tables; felt awkward. Table was very wobbly but was remedied by wait staff upon request. Could not find a drink on the menu that I saw on the online menu. Was told, "Oh, we've changed our menu and we don't have that anymore." (Maybe take it off the weebsite then?) Drinks arrived a little slowly. Food arrived at the perfect time. Had to wait 2-3 minutes for a spoon for my soup. Food was very good.

I recently attended Brassaii for the Winterlicious special. The food at Brassaii is nice (in particular, the sea bass had quite a bit of flavour to it), but I wouldn't recommend going if you can't allocate 2 hours for lunch. Service is friendly, but slow, and the kitchen seems to get bogged down, once noon hits.

We went for Winterlicious because the menu looked amazing (lots of choices) and it was my Mom's birthday. The food was very good, the live music was amazing and overall we had a good time. Our waiter was very attentive at first, and then disappeared...about the same time that a group of young girls in tiny dresses came in...Coincidence? The chef came out and said hello to my mom and her friends and put together a cheese platter from Quebec that was absolutely amazing. I would definitely return and try out the regular menu.
