The garden is a lovely dining spot. The veal dish was excellent. The arugula salad was terribly over salted. The waitress poured the white wine we had brought without chilling it first. Dining experience was uneven.

The food was amazing, too bad each course was introduced and concluded with poor service and especially rude male manager. He explicitly instructed my table to eat quick, so they can over turn the table... even though the whole restaurant was empty, at the time and we already had reservations. To start off the waitress rudely told off a guest of mine, from out of town that it was a BYOB and thus of course don't have a wine list. Another one of my guest from out of town has a food allergy and the manager yelled at me saying that whatever is on the menu will ONLY be served. When I asked the waitress if I could have pasta w oil and chicken she wasn't sure if the kitchen served chicken. This was my 1st and last time at Branzino.

We chose this restaurant because of it's large restaurant-week menu and because it is a BYOB. I love to take advantage of a $35, 3 course meal without feeling like you paid full price because of the cost of drinks. This restaurant is truly deceiving in size, and character, as it is quite noisy (but joyful) and extends all the way to the back of the property. The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE and the portions were perfect- not too much, not too little and that melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant, and hopefully soon!

We had reservations for 6:30 PM, I told them two of us were there and waiting for the other two. I said we'd wait outside. Our other two drove up at 6:50 PM she got out and he went to look for a parking space. They sat the three of us gave us menus and didn't rush us or ask if we want to order until the other person came in all most 15 minutes later. They made us feel welcome even if all four were not there until 35 minutes late. Needless to say the food was wonderful as always.

We've been to this Northern Italian BYO several times but had never sat in the garden before. It's a lovely patio with trees, candles and soft music. I felt like I was in Italy. From now on I'm going to sit there -- even in the winter! The patio seats maybe fifty people. That space is a treasure, and it's in good repair -- no tripping in your heels walking over gouged cobblestones! The food for Restaurant Week: 1) about eight appetizers -- a tasty carpaccio, salads and seafood; 2) a long list of available entrees -- beef, veal, vegetarian, pork and chicken. I had chicken rolatini, which was very good, and the gnocchi was delicious; 3) three options for dessert. We had the tiramisu and the panna cotta, and they were both wonderful.

We went to Branzino for Restaurant Week and we were blown away. There were five of us from work and each of us loved the meal and the experience. We sat outside in the back patio area which is like an oasis in the city. Highly recommend for Restaurant Week or anytime you are looking for a great meal at one of the best restaurants in Philadelphia!

My husband & another couple went to Branzino for restaurant week. It was AWESOME. The fact that they offered almost their entire menu for restaurant week was a nice surprise. The portions were big, I was full after my mussels appetizer but had no problem polishing off the wonderful orecchiette pasta with rabbit sausage & my raspberry sorbet for dessert. The service was great too. Very friendly staff & even poured our BYO wine for us (many BYO's do not serve your wine). Overall, a real treat. We'll be back, restaurant week or not!

Our food from the restaurant week menu was great! But it seemed like the kitchen had trouble pacing. The group next to us received their dessert before their dinner had been cleared, but we were left waiting for ours for at least 15 minutes. We ate outside and the noise level was fine. But when exiting through the restaurant we noticed it seemed loud indoors.

Came here for restaurant week with about 7 of my girl friends.. All I can say is how excellent our food and service was! We had reservations and were seated right away when we arrived. Restaurant week menu had plenty of choices. I got the calamari and Scallopino Sorrento and tiramisu- delicious!! Very pleased with this experience. Only thing to note is this spot is BYOB! I didn't know that when I made the reservation :)

We were a group of six, looking for a special place for lunch. It was restaurant week in PHL, so I checked out the lunch list on line. The reviews for Branzino's were excellent. All six of us loved the menu, the food, the ambiance and the service. It was a great choice.. the only problem was the noise of a work crew next door to the garden; it was somewhat distracting.

Came here with our daughter and her 3 roommates for dinner during restaurant week. Everything about Branzino was wonderful. The food, atmosphere, selections, service were all fantastic. The only small complaint and what kept me from giving 5 stars were the portion sizes. My salad was quite small and the butternut squash ravioli entree, while excellent, was also small. Even after dessert and coffee (also excellent), I still found myself a bit hungry. Not sure if they adjust their portions for restaurant week? But again, everything about this restaurant was truly outstanding. And the outdoor courtyard is a huge bonus in nice weather.

We were seated by the window in an elegant townhouse room with a crystal chandelier. We were coming anyhow but were pleased that they extended the restaurant week menu for Saturday evening. The three course meal was wonderful with three of us having the branzino....they prepared differently then we were used but the crisp skin and moist fish was fabulous. We brought friends who had never been there but will return.

We had a great dinner at Branzino on Wed. night. It was restaurant week in Center City. The $35 menu was extensive and featured all of the restaurant's special items. Service was great, too. The plus, was that 6 senior citizens could talk to each other and hear each other. We were, by far, the oldest people there, but the diners were well-behaved and interested in a good meal. BYOB helped keep the prices down. Definite repeat.

Went there with high hopes. The service was so slow and bad took 45 min for app. Then another 1/2 hr for salad. When entre finally came its hard to have a fair assessment of the food when you are so annoyed. The food was pretty good, but not extraordinary. The closest parking lot closes at 11 so if you use it best give yourselves plenty of extra time. The Prime Rib restaurant around the corner a much better choice.

We recently had dinner in the garden with friends- beautiful weather, flickering candles, great wine and incredible food. Each of us had a different dish( veal, pasta and fish) and I have to say that everything was outstanding. Our server was wonderful- just attentive enough without being intrusive. We have been here once before and plan to add this to our short list of favorite center city restaurants. Love that it is byob.

We've often eaten here, living in the neighborhood, with mostly very positive experiences. But the evening we ate at Branzino recently, with another local couple, was terribly disappointing all around. My wife has an allergy which was thoroughly explained, but her fish came out with the forbidden allergen regardless. The other two orders of Branzino were cold. All evening, our server was no where to be found, to the point where twice we had to get up to find someone, first for pepper, then to replace a piece of silverware that was taken with the appetizer but not replaced. The woman in charge (owner's wife? carrying a child) was actually rude when we complained, nicely, about the wrong entrée (relative to the allergy).

When I first called Branzino to schedule my birthday dinner they were awesome. They took our reservation for 10, no problem. Same when I called back to say we had 13. They were very nice. We had a delicious dinner then the check came. As a group of 20 somethings, no one is able to cover the meal so we all put our credit cards out. The waitress then told us that you could only us 2 cards per check and she was unable to split the check. This would have been fine if they told us ahead of time! BOTH times I called no one mentioned it so none of us had cash! After an hour of haggling and rudeness, they agreed we could use 4 cards. Some friends owed each other money, another hour was spent figuring out the math. We FINALLY LEFT, annoyed.
