  • "We don't mind spending a lot, as long as we get what we paid for. The food was good but not great. Four of five meals were delivered together and one came ten minutes later leaving us all watching our food get cold. The chef, we were told, forgot to make the dish. Bill came to $390 with tip and this included three children. Left feeling as if we overpaid."

  • "The view of Nantucket Harbor is breath taking. Though my husband and I went for lunch; brunch had just ended and from the plates we saw going by, we are going to try that next time. I chose the New England Lobster Salad for my meal. It was delicious; the lobster was plentiful and the dressing was light. My husband chose Ipswich Fried Clams. The container of clams was over flowing and the clams were juicy and not over cooked. The french fries were thick, hot, and very tasty. The special drink list had many really good options to choose from. You can't go wrong here!"

  • "We made our annual trip to Nantucket and have eaten at this restaurant a few times before. Had an early reservation, so the service was good but on "island time." Our waiter, from Jamaica, was most cordial and friendly and he took time to chat with us while our food was being prepared. Probably that could not happen if we had dined later. My wife loved the fluke which she did not think she ever had before. My filet was delicious. The menu was limited compared to other places we have eaten but may be due to being on an island where presumably almost everything has to be imported. The view of the harbor is wonderful and watched kids playing on the lawn beyond our table."

  • "Better than just good, but not "very good". Had the NY sirloin. A nice portion, cooked perfectly, but the toughest piece of sirloin I've had. Just a hard-to-chew piece of meat. Unfortunately, the usually beautiful view was taken up by huge tents for the hosting of some event so the ambiance suffered. I ordered a simple vanilla ice cream for desert. Two of the scoops were fine. One was so freezer-burned it was inedible. It never should have been served, and that was disappointing. Nonetheless, this place stays on our list. Past experience has been excellent."

  • "We were there for our anniversary, and on a quiet weekend so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We had a table with the best view of the harbor- watching the boats roll in and out. We each had an amazing meal- perfectly prepared. Not so fancy it loses it's appeal but not so casual that you could get it anywhere. The staff was so pleasant attentive without over crowding. I am still riding high from our night at the BPG! "

  • "We made reservations for lunch on Sunday, not realizing that they only serve a buffet. That was way too much food for us, as we had eaten breakfast. They were very accommodative and allowed us to order from the lunch menu. Good was very good, but the lobster Bloody Mary was killer! Expensive but had large chunks of lobster on the skewer served with it-yum!"

  • "We have attended many times for lunch or Sunday brunch which were both wonderful. However, this dinner was a great disappointment. We were the only patrons in the dining room. The menu selections were very limited, the portions were very small and the prices were very high in relations to the offerings. The service was the only constant that we have come to associate with this restaurant. We will continue to attend the Sunday brunch ( we have celebrated our daughter's birthday here for many years) and will also still attend lunch but will never go again for dinner. "

  • "We decided to dine here based on the fact we were staying next door at The White Elephant. The restaurant was very quiet, only about 4 other tables were occupied and we would have preferred a more vibrant dining scene. The food was great. Highly recommend the clam chowder. However the $30 lobster Mac and cheese left some to be desired. Overall, the service was great, we left very full and satisfied with our meal. In retrospect though the meal was slightly overpriced."

  • "We checked into the White Elephant Hotel for three days and decided to eat dinner the first night in the Brant Point Grill. I had researched it and liked the reviews. A very large wine festival had just finished that afternoon and I suspect staff was tired. The dining area only had two other couples in it. Our server was great. She brought us bread and it was stale (Sunday evening). My clam chowder was hot, but average. The tuna was a nice cut of fish, but the preparation was also average. My wife had a wedge salad and got half a head rather than the usual quarter, but said it was good. She said her crab cake was average. Wine list is good. Had breakfast there next morning. Wife's over easy eggs had broken yolks and overcooked. "

  • "I realize we were on Nantucket off season but that should not affect the restaurants that are open. The service was adequate. People kept checking back to see how the food was but our "main" waitress disappeared. We had Caesar Salads that were extremely dry! We had the Surf and Turf...Steak was delicious but the Lobster was not cooked! Overall food was ok, but price for food was a little on the steep side especially since they were not prepared correctly. This was a Birthday Celebration so it was quite disappointing.Will not be returning."

  • "The food at Brant Point is exquisite. My wife had the filet mignon and I had the NY sirloin, both were tender, melt in your mouth good. We had cauliflower fromage and whipped potatoes and as mundane as that might sound, each was truly delicious. We both agreed that this was the best meal we could remember. The drinks matched the food. My wife had the White Elephant martini and I a Southern Comfort martini and both were very well done. I would recommend the Brant Point Grille without reserve, but it is very expensive to create such a fine dining experience so for some of us a special occasion is often called for."

A lovely, tender NY strip was cold in a matter of a few minutes. Nice wine list and attentive service. But tough to enjoy your meal when you are uncomfortably cold. Make sure you ask for seating inside until the arrival of the summer weather."

BPG had turkey with all the trimmings plus salads, soups, carving station, raw bar- really too many things to mention. The waitstaff was very attentive as well. The only negative was it was quite expensive, almost $600 for 4 of us + our 2 year old grandson."

  • "overall a good experience but server was not engaging or friendly - just did the job. later while we were still dining and chatting at our table the wait staff was very noisy cleaning up around us, dragging heavy dining table across the floor and re setting tables with no regard to our still being there - does not make one feel they are respected clients at a 4 - 5 star establishment."

  • "The food, service and atmosphere were all good. What was disappointing is that it was not at all what they claim to be or what others have written. It is a hot spot on the island and there is clearly reason why. But there are plenty of places on the island that will not kill your pocketbook and you will eat well. I would not miss this if you have a chance to visit but do not make it a priority."
