I booked a reservation at The Brant House for a party of 8 to celebrate the birthday of my bestfriend & I. The decor and setup was quite lovely, with many bar stations. I was disappointed with the menu selection and it differed greatly from what was offered online. It was a minimum of $25/pp. It was $18 for the Halibut course which was not accompanied by anything else so I got the Mixed Vegetables as well for $7 which consisted of 3 raw carrots, a celery stick and half a white radish - I was not impressed. I would say the fries were one of the best on the menu! The drinks were a little more expensive than other places (avg $8/drink). I would not come back for dinner service but besides dinner, I had a good time thereafter.

We were a party of five, the hostess sat us same table with another party of more than seven ppl... Loud as it can be, they had smaller tables that were available and I asked to be changed but didn't happen. That would had been okay if we'd be able to talk to each other, we had to yell. Very limited menu, the food taste okay, just not a lot to chose from... And even though wasn't that many tables, when asked for the bill, the server took over twenty minutes to bring it to the table.

Our meal started off well with a great starter (asparagus soup, mongolian short ribs) but then went downhill from the main course to the dessert. The chicken dish and the apple cake were boring. The potato on the potato crusted haddock was hard to find, but overall the dish was ok. The cheesecake was just ok. The large television screens were also extremely distracting. In fact whenever my dining mate looked at me, he saw a screen on either side of my head! Wait staff were good and attentive. In fact when my friend went to the washroom, and the appetizers started getting cold, the waitress pro-actively offered to take them away and bring back fresh ones, which was a very nice touch.

Great place, great food. In terms of demographics, we are in an older age bracket (59 and 65), therefore found it a bit loud. Otherwise, everything was excellent and we could easily recommend it

Brant House is a great place to go if you are on the prowl and looking for some singles action. I went there last Friday for their Winterlicious dinner promotion and found the food to be pretty tasty and the service excellent. What I did not enjoy was the fact that the noise level so loud that I could barely hear myself think and there were groups of people walking around the dining area with their beers in hand. I felt like I was dining in a night club and that is NOT what I signed up for.

We went for winterlicious and the food was of good quality, service was excellent. It was our first time there with another couple and it was very loud, but it was a friday night. Apparently bar had more people than normal,so might be better for dinner on tue,wed or sunday night.

I understand pumping the tunes when its a dance party, but during dinner it would be nice to be able to hear the person you are sitting across from without having to yell. The food was pretty good. I would come back again if you promise to turn your music down during dinner.

Our small company held our Christmas dinner at the Brant House. We were a group of 6 and had reservations. The hostess was very gracious and the table set up was appropriate. The waitress took our drink and food orders, taking a rather long time to fill out her notebook and was prompt with service. The meal was by far not an acceptable offering for the price. For a $40 dinner special I received a lack luster salad to start, a small chicken breast with mushrooms and no side, and a very small dessert. The quality of each dish was good, although my colleagues lamb was cold, but the portions were all miserably small. The lobster dish of another was three small meal balls. We also received a plate of tomatoes and fries that were not ordered.
