Located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley, this modern American steakhouse is a short drive from Philadelphia, the Main Line or Wilmington. The complete redo of the 300 year old Chadds Ford Inn has created an excellent canvas with which to paint. The cuisine is strictly twenty-first century with an emphasis not only top quality cuts of beef, like the 10 oz. barrel cut ribeye, but fresh seasonal seafood, like soft-shell crabs and wild salmon. The comfortable bar beckons you in with a Best of Philly burger, ahi tuna club and a local draft beer. Creative sandwiches, great happy hour specials and great steaks ensure we have something for everyone.   • "Every time I go to Brandywine Prime I say to myself, Why havn't I been back sooner? Steaks are what people tend to think about here, which I had Saturday and it was delicious. But, the menu has lots of variety, and everything our group had was fabulous, just like it always is. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. I'll try to keep it more top of mind, and so should you!"

  • "The Mushroom Tart is always great to start and the steaks are always cooked exactly how you want them. I got the Cowboy Ribeye, my wife went with a filet. We've also had just about every dessert on the menu (from previous trips, not all from this visit) and they are all amazing. The dining area is generally quiet (especially if you sit upstairs) and the bar area is usually very lively. Overall, we've never had a bad meal at Brandywine Prime and we've been there a number of times. I'm very picky when it comes to steak houses but they get my vote every time. I'll put them up against any steak house in Philly, Wimington, Lancaster, ETC. Their brunches are also awesome!"

  • "My girlfriend and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Our server, Anthony, was relaxed, kind, courteous and personable. Appetizers to the drinks to dessert were all great. The atmosphere was relaxed, inviting decor and it was not too loud. We grabbed drinks before and after our dinner, both bartenders were friendly. Appetizers included grilled romaine Caesar, oysters and fried mozzarella plate. I would eat all of them again. We both ordered the 10 oz filet special. The steaks were cooked perfectly, medium rare, and the beans, horseradish mashed potatoes and asparagus were great compliments to the dish. Creme brûlée was good and as expected. A meal will be costly, but I felt it was worth the price. Would come back."

  • "Went here to celebrate our anniversary with another couple. Nice atmosphere, the bar area was a little loud, however we were upstairs and it was fairly quiet. Great wine list, our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and provided quick service. Food was outstanding and the way we ordered. I would recommend this place, and will definitely go back."

  • "Read previous reviews and thought it would be a great meal. Mushroom tart was watery mushrooms on hard crust. Steaks were expensive and not prime cuts. Both of them had tough white cartilage to cut through and little flavor. Creamed spinach was loaded with cheese. Ambiance was very nice and service was very good. Major issue was the price. Paid over $200 for 2 people and a very mediocre meal. Could have gone to philly for a better cut of meat and the same price. Now I know why the place was half empty on a Saturday night."

The service was excellent and our waiter "Mike" was full of some much information and answered all our questions. He is an asset for your business. He was prompt and very attentive. I would recommend your restaurant to my family and friends, in fact, my niece and my sister was there today for brunch was very pleased with everything!   • "We had had some previous misses at this restaurant in the past, and I was somewhat wary. However, this visit saw much improvement. Our waiter was efficient and courteous although not overly solicitous. Our steaks were done to perfection, and the sides of green beans and mushrooms were quite tasty although there could have been a few more green beans. Drinks were made as ordered, and the dessert of apple tart with maple ice cream was delicious. Since I indicated on the open table reservation that this was a birthday reservation, most other restaurants would have put a candle on the dessert and recognized the event. This was not done. However, we were very satisfied with our experience and will definitely return again."

  • "A great find if your are staying in the Brandywine Valley. You can have an enjoyable dinner after taking in one of the great museums right in the area. Definitely need a reservation because the place is popular. Well presented comfort food like steaks and seafood. The bar is energetic (we were there on a Friday night after work). Upstairs where my wife and I had our dinner, things were much lower key. We both enjoyed the fact that we didn't feel rushed. The server was great about that. We will definitely return for a visit."

  • "We went to brandywine prime for our anniversary dinner and had one if the best meals of our lives. The maitre d need our special occasion and dessert was served with a special message written in chocolate on the plate. I ordered the fish of the day and ir was prepared perfectly. My husband ordered steak and it was also perfect. A bit pricey so definitely a special occasion place. I was a little worried at first when I saw kids and mustard bottles in the table but they also have dining rooms that were kid free :) only complaint would be that some dinners wore jeans and pullover shirts but that's not the restaurants fault :)"

  • "Chef Jason Barrowcliff hit it out of the ball park with our steak entrees. The brand new menu, introduced the night we dined there, was divine, with many creative choices. Our server Michael provided outstanding service in all aspects, especially helping us pair foods with the wines we brought in via Branywine Prime's BYOB program. It was an outstanding night of food, wine and fun. We'll be back soon and highly recommend Brandywine Prime."

Each time however the restaurant was very empty, I don't understand this as it has a lot to offer and is no more expensive than Harvest or Mile High Steakhouse. Go!"

We had a late reservation and ended up being the last people to leave the restaurant but never felt rushed at all. We all had great food and our waiter was very knowledgeable and even steered one of us away from a dry aged steak when he tried to order it well done. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone."

  • "Another delicious meal at Brandywine Prime! I tried the Tuna Tartare appetizer; it was lovely with the onions in soy were a nice twist and the wasabi aoli excellent. My husband had the shrimp spring rolls, which were also tasty. Our steaks (rib eye, barrel cut and NY Strip) were cooked to perfection. Their steak sauce compliments the meat without overpowering it. Dessert was a wonderful chocolate brownie topped with mousse and ganache. Arturo was our server; he has a nice low key manner and is very knowledgable about the menu."

  • "we shared appetizers kennet square mushroom tart and sashimi tuna tartare.. both were delicious.. tuna layered over a chunky avacado blend with wasabi and onion braised marinated in a soy based sauce served with wedges of tortilla. the mushroom tart was deilcious flaky crust and creamy mushroom filling. We both ordered braised short ribs and it was wonderful.. served over garlic mashed potatoes and a side of brussel sprouts braised with pancetta.. the meat was fork tender.. we also split a grilled romaine salad that was very good. My pear martini was to die for.. I'll have 2 the next time... would highly reccommend this restaurant. ."

The staff was super friendly from the time we stepped in the door until the time we left. The brunch buffet was well kept and full, unlike other places we have gone.
