Brando'sOnce again- fantastic!This is by far our favorite restaurant! We live in Toms River, but drive to Asbury park just to go to Brando's for all of our special occasions. I have had something different every time, and have no complaints about anything!! When you go, make sure you request Chris Dolan as your waiter- he is great- knows the menu, is very attentive, and has a great sense of humor. Look forward to going back again real soon!5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMhad a great dinner with wifehad a great dinner with wife and friends. sunday gravy and fra diavolo are best in class. insalata calabrese is awesome. even the bread was good. and the desserts are over the top. the fried tortoni is nothing like you've ever had. and the people at the next table were raving about the new york cheesecake. and the owner steve proudly visits the tables to make sure his customers are satisfied. that says alot about a restaurant. and the best part is that there are too many tempting menu choices--especially the appetizers. you can't try them all in one night. can't wait to go back for the sliders--hanger beef and lobster sliders are both in my future. would highly recommend to all.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent dining at Brando'sAlways a varied menu with excellent quality food and presentation. Their scallop dinner is a must to try. You though you've had great scallops in the past until you've had them at Brando's. No comparison! From drinks (great bar by the way) to appetizers, to main course and dessert, everything was top notch, as was the staff who were attentive and personable. We are repeat customers and will continue to be so. Food and Sevice were top-notch as usual. Had the 36 oz. rib-eye; it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My uncle was so happy, and is talking about it. Our waitress Regina was EXCELLENT to say the least. She was friendly, knowledgeable, informative and her personality was terrific!!! All of our courses were delicious not to mention the desserts which were amazing as well. Drinks and coffees were above par too.
I was there with my wife and teenage children to celebrate a birthday and have to say everything was just PERFECT!!!!!!
As matter of fact my wife made the comment we had just found our new restaurant as the owner personally came to our table to make sure our experience was enjoyable.

Decided to try on a weeknight. Menu was more than expected, lots of options for every taste, all sounding so inviting. Decided on Pappardelle Tuscana and Pork Chop Brando--both outstanding--after the Beggars Purse appetizer, which was delicious! Of course, had to indulge in dessert--Fried Tortoni and Cannoli...with a Bailey's & coffee to top it off. Server was great, not overly attentive (which can be annoying when you're trying to enjoy your dinner), just the right amount of attention! And for the fourth time, we were thoroughly impressed! The service, the food, everything was top notch. I have tried something different everytime, and every mean I have had has been fantastic. My wife swears by the "Sunday Gravy," saying it tastes just like her Nona's gravy growing up. That is high praise. We have already recommended Brando's to several friends and co-workers, and everyone that has gone has gone back multiple times. We all had the seafood. All very fresh and delicious. Dessert was fried tortoni, soooo delicious. Some reviews said it was pricey but I disagree. If you dine out you will know quality food and this is a quality place. Everything was exceptional and I would recommend it to family and friends. In fact, my family and I can't wait to go back.
