  • "Went on a Wednesday night for dinner. Good food and half priced wine by the glass on Wednesdays were the positives. The negative was the overall service. It's not that the servers were unfriendly but they were slow and seemed very short staffed. A couple who sat down near us that night left without eating bc they felt like the service was too slow. We weren't in a big rush so we didn't really mind too much. We will try it again bc we live nearby and the chef/owner seemed like a good guy who is trying hard to build his business. Also the food was good and I would like to try more of the menu."

  • "I've been a big fan of Branchwater since they opened and go regularly for dinner or just a drink at the bar. The food is always great and with the weekly specials there is always something new to try. My suggestions - get a nice pour of their barrel-aged bourbon and check out their board & burger specials. The duck on the menu is also really good."

  • "We arrived relatively late on a week night, but the host &server were very welcoming. Something for everyone on the dinner menu, I found the appetizers limiting if you're looking for a healthy, non-fried choice. Went with the chicken eggrolls & they were delicious. Disappointed in the charcuterie option that changes daily. I'm a foodie, but the items on it were just too 'out there' for me. The scallops were very good (which is not often the case if you ask me). Asian slaw accompanying the seared tuna was very good. Tuna was fine as well. Almost forgot...they got my martini right the first time AND it was $5 martini night. We'll be back. The atmosphere was perfect, service impeccable & can't wait to explore the rest of the menu."

  • "I was disappointed in the overall ambiance of the restaurant. It was my wife's birthday, and I had stated so when placing the reservation. The restaurant was fairly empty, but they seated us right next to a very loud group of 8+. I asked if there may be a quieter spot, and they moved us into another room that was still directly adjacent to them, but at least had part of a wall and one of two doors closed.The beer I ordered wasn't available and was told they never get it, despite it being on the full printed menu. I made another selection and we ordered. Right after ordering, the server brought out some bread, and before we could hardly even pick it up, our food was delivered. The food was good, but definitely overpriced for what you get."

  • "This restaurant is too noisy...this takes away from having any ambience. The high ceilings and stark decor adds to the noise level here. The food was good...but when dining with friends, I'll pick a restaurant where we don't have to scream the whole time."

  • "I have been there 3 times and it just keep getting better and better and location is excellent for my travel for dining out. We brought guest with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the idea of being able to dine outside. I have had the salmon twice and it has been cooked to my liking both times. Wine list has a nice variety of reds and whites although I am not in love with California wines. I go for the Malbec from Argentina, Pinot Noir from France and Italy."

Food is awesome, staff is friendly and attentive, atmosphere is wonderful and half off glasses of wine Wednesday and half off pints of beer Thursdays are great specials for mid-week!   • "Great find at Vickery in Forsyth County... great experience overall, very comfortable date night out with friends and without kids :) We will definitely recommend to our friends and family. Beef Tenderloin and Lobster Tail as well as the Scallops and Risotto were great, We can't wait for our return visit to try their other entrees. Service was great and timely, allowing for discussion time with friends at the table and much needed relaxing time. One last thing, don't forget dessert... Butterscotch Creme Brulee and Flourless Chocolate cake with Marmalade.. YUM"

  • "I went there Saturday evening with a friend. There was a large group celebrating so it was a little loud in the room. I wish it had been a little warmer as we could have sat outside. They do have a fireplace outside but it was still too cold for us to sit outside. I ordered the 16 oz Ribeye and my friend ordered the scallops. I had ordered the steak medium and it was rare but the flavor was delicious and my friend loved her dish."

  • "Went here for my wife's bday dinner to try someplace new as we're usually a Pampas patron. The special appetizer (shrimp and corn fritters) were exceptional, the calamari was good, but special was better. Wife had the "sampler" for dinner; Lamb was great, the filet had a bacon/pepper marinade and was the best I've had in a long time, and the Lobster was good, just not much of a lobster fan. I had the braised short rib, just pulled apart with a fork and was so tender, even the potatoes and green beans were excellent. Dessert for wife was a molten chocolate/caramel cake, good and strong cocoa taste, caramel didn't fully melt. I had the butterscotch creme brule, excellent butterscotch taste. Kids were present, but weren't a hindrance"

  • "The food and service here is outstanding. One small problem...my wife and I were seated in the small dinning room with the fire place along with a large party of 12 or more. The noise level was so hight we were unable to hear what each other was saying. Also the gas fireplace kept going off every few minutes...it seemed it was off more then it was on. Not that romantic."

  • "We dined here on a Saturday night "Valentine's Day weekend". We had seafood dishes which were all excellent, as were the specialty salads. It was very noisy - crowded and a band playing in the lounge area. But we were told that weekdays are much more subdued. Due to the seating arrangements, couples will probably have to sit across from each other, which is not our preference. The wines are a bit overpriced, but the selection is more than adequate for non-connoisseurs. Overall we were very impressed with the quality of food and service, and will definitely be returning customers."

  • "My wife and I went to Branchwater for Valentine's Day dinner. The food was good, the prices reasonable and the service was good. The server was not very knowledgeable about the menu, seemed a bit nervous, and it seemed a bit inexperienced. I asked to substitute a green vegetable for the potatoes and they would not make the substitution. The meal was good and the wine and cocktails were good as well. We would go back again."

The steak was of the finest quality, the fish was seasoned beautifully, and the salad was beautifully presented in addition to being good. I have no complaints and will return for sure.   • "I had the beef short rib, which I typically never order, and it was excellent. It came with horseradish potatoes and green beans and I will be returning soon to have this again. I'm a bourbon drinker and they did not go light on the pour...this is one way to get bounced from our favorites list. My wife had the chicken which she typically does not order but she is pregnant and her choices are limited. Her opinion of the chicken was that it was excellent as well and tender. The sweet potato fries were fantastic as well. Looking forward to our next night out at Branchwater."

  • "We drove from Big Canoe after someone recommended Branchwater and it was well worth the drive. The service was personable and efficient. The food was excellent and well prepared. The scallops were outstanding and I didn't know Brussel sprouts could taste so good. My grilled grouper was so tasty and grilled to perfection. All four of us loved the experience and can't wait to return."

  • "Though there were a lot of large groups, the noise level was very good. Went on a date night and was pleasantly surprised. There was actually someone playing in the bar, but you couldn't hear in the main restaurant which was surprising and so nice. Walking in after dinner we enjoyed the music, but didn't have to fight to talk over it during dinner. Ahi Tuna entrée is amazing, a definite must try. Dessert was also not to miss, try the caramel molten cake. Perfect to share. So happy we tried a new place and really enjoyed the whole night."
