"Easter Brunch 2012:

Husband and I both had the Short Rib Eggs Benedict. Just ok, needed another layer of flavor. We also had the Beet Salad - recommended. Son went with the Chicken Pot Pie, and the Wedge Salad, which he really enjoyed. Bottomless Mimosa's also good. Table side Bloody Mary....not done table side. Although other tables had theirs done table side by their servers. Our service was done with major attitude. From the hostess to our server, they all seemed as if they were very unhappy to be there and that the customer was an inconvenience. Not something we wanted to have on a beautiful Easter morning. Doubtful we will dine here again."

"So, we were first time diners. We live in Katy and were referred to Branch Water by our neighbor. Before reserving a table my husband and I wanted to read the reviews. We have young kids and based on a few of the negative reviews we were afraid to attempt taking our kids but took our chances. I cant tell you how opposite our experience was compared to some of these negative people. THEY DO HAVE HIGHCHAIRS. We needed 2. The rude girlfriend I learned from the hostess is the general manager (I had to ask after reading that) and she actually brought plastic cups with lids for our kids (unsolicited) and then insisted on having the chef make something "kid friendly" for us. We love this place. Wish they were closer. Great Food & Service!"

"Dined for Easter Brunch. We had the chicken fried oyters, salmon benedict, chicken pot pie (sooo good), and the shrimp and grits. They were all great. tableside bloody marys..cant beat that. service was friendly. good experience."

"Unfortunaley not happy with our Easter Brunch. My french toast came to the table with one slice blackened. I asked for another and it was obvious they left the one un burned slice on the warmer while re-doing the second and just served it to me soggy. My bacan came out chewy and greasy. Disappointing considering the prices they charge...not likely to return."

"I discovered Branch Water Tavern in January when my daughter, who was visiting from Los Angeles, wanted seafood, but not at a traditional seafood restaurant. I googled several restaurants in central Houston and we settled on Branch Water Tavern based on favorable online reviews. We enjoyed an excellent dinner that night! So, when my son and I decided to stray from Mockbird Bistro (where we usually have our holiday meals), I decided we should try BRT. I also liked that the menu was ala carte as opposed to buffet. Well, our meal again was excellent - spicy bloody mary's, perfectly cooked-to-order eggs benedict, great service. AND our total bill was $2 less than Mockingibrd's price fixe for Easter Sunday - can't be beat!"

"Sunday brunch was excellent!! We arrived almost 45 minutes earlier than our reservation and fully expected to be kept waiting until our reservation time. But we were seated immediately and were given a lovely welcome by the hostess. Our server was superb constantly checking to ensure we had everything that we needed. Additionally, a manager stopped by our table asking if the food and service was good. We will definitely return!!!!"
