A word from Bramble & Brine
Bramble & Brine, opened by husband/wife team Megan and Joe Churchman, is a neighborhood gem located in one of Rehoboth"s main street cottages. Originally built in the early 1900's and restored keeping true to its turn of the century charm, the atmosphere is both elegant and inviting. The ever changing, global inspired menu is rich with handcrafted dishes prepared utilizing a fusion of classic and modern techniques. A special chef's menu with meticulously selected wine pairings is available on weekends in a private room for parties of 2 to 12 guests on a first come, reservation only basis and is highly customizable with advanced notice. Antiques throughout the restaurant are offered for sale and provide an engaging setting in what feels like a formal dining room in a home from the past. Be sure to visit the marble top bar for prohibition era cocktails and pour over the extensive wine list. We can't wait to serve you a truly remarkable meal and unique dining experience!Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Dined on April 12, 2014 with a friend - it was Saturday and crowded. Started with a martini-up, but was served in a glass more like a saucer champagn, but the drink was very good. My first course was an artichoke which was over-done and mushy at the center. I ordered the saddle of rabbit with polenta and brussel sprouts. Rabbit was the size and shape of a hotdog, was dry and tasteless. Polenta was almost non-existant and dry. Brussels for fine. My friend had the chicken and was satisfied with it. The manager/owner was sympathetic and compt a delicious ice cream pie. I won't go back any time soon!"

  • "Went on a Tuesday evening to celebrate a birthday. The place was full by the time we left-off season in a resort town. It is small so you are seated very close to the table next to you. There will be no private conversations, but we met 2 very nice couples sitting on each side of us. Their middle rare is a little on the rare side, remember that when ordering."

  • "BB seems to generate such great reviews. It is an expensive place for the area but we didn't mind paying for a higher price a meal that's worth it. Unfortunately this was not the case...the service & atmosphere were excellent. Now the food: after looking at the menu, we were informed that their ONE vegetarian option was not available. Really? You only have one option & when you're out you just say oh well?! I ended up w ravioli without the meat...which had a nice flavor but there were only 4 and they were cold. The portions for everyone at our table were extremely small. And we're not big eaters. I actually left the restaurant hungry...first time for everything!"

  • "I had heard the buzz about B&B, and needed to see what it was all about. The place is amazing. The service, the food, the positive feeling I left with has now made this place my new favorite. Megan, one half of the husband/wife owners has such a genuine and wonderful demeanor that you know she wants you to have a great experience. Our waitress (I forgot her name) was on the scale of 11 out of 10 and the food…. OMG. Pam ordered the entrée size portion of the scallops and they were out of this world and cooked to perfection. I had a desire for red meat and had the rib eye again presentation and flavor was right up there in perfection. The mud pie pastry desert was made in house and even sharing it we couldn't finish. A "Don't Miss" place!"

  • "We just recently discovered Bramble and Brim and will be hard put to dine at another restaurant. The ambiance is elegant, the cuisine superb and the owners delightful. We, also, have had pleasant interaction with the other patrons."

  • "Had an absolutely perfect romantic evening. The food was fantastic and the staff was first notch. A great place with very reasonable prices. Definitely will be returning."

  • "This restaurant is not the least bit romantic. The tables are close together and it is loud. My dinner, the ravioli, came out barely at room temperature. It was not hot. I ordered the ravioli because all of the other entrees on the new "Spring" menu were basically heavy red meat-based. It is almost impossible to order healthy dish at this restaurant. My husband ordered the rainbow trout, and it came out and it was very small. The wine list is terrible, with only domestic wines to even choose from, and then it is ridiculously expensive. I ordered the girls in the vineyard Sauvignon blanc, And I was charged $11 for it and did not even receive half a glass. Based on the reviews it has received, which are good, I expected so much more."

  • "Our visit to Bramble and Brine was an excellent choice for us. It, as a new addition to the Rehoboth Beach restaurant scene, will fill the gaps of those higher end restaurants that have gone by the wayside the past few years. The food choices, the plating, and the flavors were excellent. The staff were very welcoming and the seating comfortable. I recommend it to anyone who wants an upscale meal."

  • "Food here is an art and look at it, smell it, taste it-it's incredible. The artistry is both in the food and the decor; the owners have done an amazing job!"

  • "Every single time we visit Bramble and Brine we know we are in for a treat. We feel as though we are at a friend's home having dinner. Brian, our waiter, only adds to the comfort and pleasure. We are always willing to expand our palate with the unique choices on the menu. Thank you for all your efforts to make dining such a pleasurable experience! Diane and Peter Issel"

  • "An excellent chef. Charming, cozy interior. Waiter (Brian) was "scintillating", and well-informed. The wine list was limited, but a few excellent choices. On a weeknight the place was filled completely. Reservations a must."

  • "Very very charming place. The food was first rate- creative and completely delicious. A glitch with the order due to an error by an otherwise delightful waiter could have put a serious crimp in the evening - at least as far as one of our party was concerned - but the manager jumped in quickly without being asked and made everything perfect again. Can't wait to go back....."

  • "Lovely evening in a comfortable house setting. Beautiful looking, delicious food. The mud pie is unbelievable. Rehoboth has been elevated by this restaurant. Pricey but worth it. You will need reservations."

  • "Friends of ours said we HAD to go. I called them the next day and thanked them. Start with the baked artichoke but save room for dessert."

  • "The food was creative and delicious. The server was helpful, giving excellent recommendations for the food and wine. The wine list had a great variety with many reasonably priced choices by the bottle. We had a beautiful meal and cannot wait to return!"

  • "My wife & I ate here Saturday night. You will need a reservation as the place fills up by 6pm. The food is awesome! Our waitress Molli was excellent, the drinks from the bar were top shelf and NOT watered down, very nice! My wife had the ribeye that was the best, I had the duck breast, delicious. The desserts were exceptional, save room and you won't be disappointed. Total bill with a glass of wine, a cocktail, 2 apps, 2entrees, 2 desserts $146."

  • "Bramble and Brine is the top restaurant in Rehoboth. The food is wonderful. No matter what I have eaten the flavors are sensational. The desserts are outrageous. There is nothing on the menu that you can go wrong with ordering."

  • "This was our first visit to Bramble and Brine. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. We love it when the staff (Nick) knows the food and actually DOES have a preference. The décor and ambience was delightful. All that being said we do have two complaints. Our food was very salty. I got the smoked duck which was delicious but I found myself avoiding the beautifully crisped skin because of the salt. Our vegetables were the same. Our second complaint had to do with the noise level. We were in the front dining room and there was a VERY loud party of 5 next to us which made any conversation impossible. The noise level in general was too loud for intimate conversation or a romantic dinner. We'll be back for the food!!"

  • "The buzz was this was a great restaurant and indeed it is. In the class of back porch. Definately not an everyday place. Decor is lovely. Attentive service, interesting wine list, and awesome food"

  • "Fantastic dining experience. Very creative food combinations. Do not skip dessert. Chef has designed super bill of faire. We can highly recommend this restaurant. We had the duck and scallop entrees. This restaurant is a well welcomed addition to the Rehoboth Beach dining choices."

  • "Me: Beet and Goat Cheese app that was lovely and light and the Pork Rilettes. Server was very helpful steering me clear of too heavy starter and entree. The Pork portion was way too much for me so if you like a lot of food, this is good for you. Well prepared. Chocolate and Marscapone Crème Brûlée - fab! Hubby: Potato and leek soup (too heavy on the ham), Shrimp and pasta. Shrimp was ammonia-y but he thought the pasta and sauce was good. Parsnip cake was TO DIE FOR! Will try again!"

  • "Bramble and Brine is definitely a fine dining addition to the Delaware Beach Resort Area. Our waiter Brian was most attentive and offered a good wine selection to go along with the rib eye steaks that all 4 of us ordered(!). The salt rubbed steaks were cooked to perfection for all of us. We'll definitely return for special occasions."

  • "Some internet research lead me to book a reservation for an anniversary celebration at Bramble and Brine. The food was off the charts amazing and the staff was very friendly. I made the reservation weeks in advance and was disappointed when we arrived at our appointed time to be told we would have to wait at the bar. As we waited, I observed that others arriving with reservations were also told to wait. There wasn't really a good place to wait so the congestion was not a pleasant way to begin a special occasion. A mutual respect of time would have made for a better experience."

  • "The food was great, though the portions were a bit stingy for the price, the ambiance was nice and very pleasant ... The service was attentive and friendly ... we enjoyed the cheese tray, my wife had the swordfish, which was nice, I had the scallops and clams in a lobster broth with some spaetzle ... very tasty. We'll come back."

  • "Bramble & Brine is like venturing back to your grandmother's house for Sunday dinner when you were a child. The mismatched patterns of china and silver along with the cut glass stemware took me back to wonderful memories of my childhood and the food did not disappoint either. Much attention is paid to the artistry of the food presentation, but the dining experience does not stop there. Service is attentive and the chef's creations are all exceptional. We have dined twice since opening in the fall and have not been disappointed. The owner is the chef in charge in the kitchen and his lovely wife greets you and ensures everything goes well during your meal. Your evening will be memorable at Bramble & Brine. Can't wait to try brunch!"

  • "Our experience at Bramble and Brine was fantastic. My husband and I had heard it was wonderful there and it truly was even better than wonderful. The decor is lovely. I was told that Megan, one of the owners, decorated everything herself. It is so cozy and elegant. The service was fantastic. Molly was very attentive and so knowledgeable about every item on the menu. Molly wasn't the only great server, Melinda, and the food runner all made sure everything was to our liking. The food was tremendous. So delicious, fresh and clean. The flavors were delightful and so tasty. My husband had the duck and I had the grilled shrimp pasta dish. We can't wait to go back. It is definitely our new favorite date night destination!"

  • "Dined with friends. My wife and I had a wonderfully enjoyable meal. The foie gras appetizer was to die for good...the rib eye was perfect and the choc. dessert delicious. The potato served with the rib eye was not hot. My companions loved their appetizers ...however they did not like their entrees...the pork dish i tasted was overdone...i did not taste the duck my friend ordered but he did not like it and he adores the duck at the Grove Market which is admittedly a high threshold to meet. . So the mixed review. The service was impeccable ...the setting wonderfully magical and i did have the best martinii...the grey goose one...i' ve ever had. I would eat there again...maybe just for the appetizers. However my friends would not."

  • "Yes it was off season and not very busy, but watching the kitchen staff through the Plexiglas wall showed nothing but smooth confidence - like a well oiled machine. I'm sure it works just as well when they are slammed - as I'm sure they will be. Really nice wine list, with a wide range of price points, entrees that are reasonable priced - and exceptionally well done. My dish of Squash Filet was cooked and flavored so well I forgot I didn't have meat, and my wife's duck was some of the best I've ever tasted. There are several intriguing appetizers to try, including sweetbreads that were perfect if a little less than I would want! However, at the price I couldn't complain."

  • "Absolutely wonderful! I'm very selective when it comes to restaurants and fine dining....this met all my expectations! Took group of 5 for family birthday dinner; food was out of this world, service spectacular, and ambience was perfect (shabby-chic meets country french). Also, a Maitre'D escorts you to your table, which was a nice touch! Excellent wine and beer selection too! Very nice owner with knowledgeable staff!! Fun place to have a romantic dinner or night out with friends! MUST GO!!!!"
