Bramble & Brine, opened by husband/wife team Megan and Joe Churchman, is a neighborhood gem located in one of Rehoboth"s main street cottages. Originally built in the early 1900's and restored keeping true to its turn of the century charm, the atmosphere is both elegant and inviting. The ever changing, global inspired menu is rich with handcrafted dishes prepared utilizing a fusion of classic and modern techniques. A special chef's menu with meticulously selected wine pairings is available on weekends in a private room for parties of 2 to 12 guests on a first come, reservation only basis and is highly customizable with advanced notice. Antiques throughout the restaurant are offered for sale and provide an engaging setting in what feels like a formal dining room in a home from the past. Be sure to visit the marble top bar for prohibition era cocktails and pour over the extensive wine list. We can't wait to serve you a truly remarkable meal and unique dining experience!Continued

The duck was tiny and over-salted. The pancetta wrapped rabbit loin was also briny, tough and tepid. The one hit has been the veal chop."

  • "I was really looking forward to our dinner at Bramble & Brine, however I was very disappointed. I made reservations once I heard about Bramble & Brine. The restaurant left a phone message to confirm our dinner reservation. We called back, for some reason, they had trouble finding the reservation because our name was in small letters-really-at least they found it. The next day, they called to confirm our dinner reservation again! How many times are they going to do this? Once we arrived , they seated us immediately, unfortunately, it was right next to the kitchen and every time someone walked by, they bumped into our seats--tight quarters! The portions were small and they were out of one appetizer and two of the maybe six entree's."

  • "I almost never write reviews BUT this restaurant deserves major kudos. My sweetheart and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary here. The table had lovely rose petals across the middle. Our waitress, Emma was lovely- bright smile and very honest, comfortable, and informative about the menu. The scallops were amazing- would like a double order next time:) I had the halibut, which substantial with an awesome puree and starch partnership. My boyfriend enjoyed the rabbit dish. Our desserts were equally yummy- chocolate chip cake and cheese cake. We will be back in August for sure!"

  • "We have favorite restaurants at Rehoboth so it is a gamble to try something new. The locals probably know about this place and we have a new favorite. The halibut is a new entry and was perfectly cooked and presented. Our neighbors gushed over the duck and ribeye. I did have the ribeye appetizer and it was wonderful. And since the portions were not supersized we got to savor every bite and still want desert. I can't think of the last time I was remotely interested in dessert. For those with really small appetites, go straight to dessert. I am sure they are all worth the calories but my wife, who makes excellent cheesecakes, could not believe how wonderful hers was. I had the chocolate cake and I have never had anything like it"

  • "We made late reservations and still had to wait for our table. Not bad but a bit annoying. This restaurant is very loud (always is). It detracts from the FANTASTIC food. Biggest complaint for the night was our server. She was pleasant enough but had a definite opinion about the veal on the menu and over shared that opinion MANY times - she objects to the process to "make" veal and therefore has a "moral" problem with eating it. She shared this with our daughter at least 3 times when our daughter expressed an interest in ordering the veal chop on the menu. Our daughter ordered it, loved it but felt "lectured" (as did we) by the server."

The food is inventive and impeccably prepared. Service is outstanding and the room is incredible. We started with artichokes and wild boar served on bone, followed by an inventive chowder, rabbit wrapped in prosciutto, duck, and two great desserts, including a a completely new take on a banana split. All in all, it was one of the best meals we have had in Rehoboth."

The "clam chowder" was a pleasant broth with small clams, but it didn't have much flavor impact. The loin of rabbit was cooked well, but the miniscule amount of sauce made the dish a bit spare. The pasta with fresh peas, etc. was okay, but angel hair pasta made the entire dish merely fair. Service was very good and attentive. In general, Blue Moon is still a better choice in the same price range."

All four of us had a wonderful experience starting with the well decorated, charming ambience, friendly, attentive service and divine food. I especially enjoyed the beautifully presented and tasteful duck. Others with me enjoyed their choices of a very generous sized veal chop and stuffed cabbage. Desserts were well worth the calories. The house salads were superb offering many seasonal vegetables in an excellent dressing. My wife ordered the veal chop — easily the largest we'd ever seen. And, quite delicious. Hearing they specialized in duck, I ordered the duck breast.Extraordinary. Save room for dessert -- all of which are meant to be shared. Case in point, the cheesecake/parfait/ice cream -- that's one dessert. Wines were well priced and the cocktails serves in quirky pseudo-antique glassware. Consider this the perfect place to splurge for that special occasion (with prices to match)"

We do so for the experience as well as anticipating a great meal at a reasonable price in that restaurant week is advertised that dinners are $25,$35, or $45. I will be clear that the food was good, but the portions were small and there were only two entrees that were $45. The rest were upwards to $65. We have been to Michelin rated restaurants that were less expensive than Bramble and Brine. To add insult to injury when the dessert was discussed we learned that there is an up charge on half of the choices. Our party of six left the restaurant very disappointed, likely never to return. "

  • "We went for Restaurant Week expecting special prices, etc. What we found was that B and B had at least doubled the prices of the entrees', but you received a starter, soup OR salad along with the entree and dessert. We dined there two weeks ago and I had a wonderful $23.00 pasta dish and a $9.00 Market Salad. This time the pasta dish was priced at $45.00. We were not offered the option of just ordering a course. We are not dessert eaters and it seems as if we paid around $11 for a piece of cake that we really didn't want. We think this was a rip-off. "
