"A choice of a 3 course ($35) or 5 ($55) pairing of very delicious choices, while the selections are slightly limited there's still enough variety/great options. The portions are fair, although they leave you wanting more because they're so tasty. Nevertheless in the end we each had a 3 course meal and slip a dessert and we were more than satisfied. This is a great place for mid sized groups or a romantic table for two. Don't bring your own wine as the corking fee is way too expensive at $25. Chef Fred is a super cool, very welcoming guy too and likes the keep the menu fresh. We'll be back soon."

"A friend suggested I go somewhere else as she wasn't impressed when they first opened. But I'm stubborn and like to experience things on my own. I'm glad I did, I enjoyed the food very much and the service wasn't bad either. It's always a good thing to see the chef meeting and greeting his clients."

"We had lunch at Braise during restaurant week. They are normally only open in the evenings, but were serving a special restaurant week menu during restaruant week. The gazpacho was the best I have had and the fried talapia served with a spicy remoulade and creamy grits was excellent. The service was excellent and they were eager to be sure that diners were pleased. It is an out-of-the-way location on the far east end of Sixth Street, but it is definitely worth the trip. We will be back to try the regular prix-fixe menus in the evening."

"The ambiance is great for a quite dinner with your best friend or a romantic evening with your spouse. The food was not only beautiful but the flavors were all there front and center...the wine paring was also excellent...they took all the guess work out of it and again brought all the flavors together perfectly. The dining room is cozy and the art is fun and vibrant...the little extra touches are really what make Restaurant Braise a true foodie find...Oh and the chef came out, introduced himself to everyone in the dining room and invited everyone back...great touch to an already great evening."

"we ate at braise during Austin's Restaurant Week and I was thoroughly impressed by the service. the chef and owner came out and introduced himself to every table and ensured that all of our food was perfect. try the pumpkin bisque- it's amazing."

"The food was excellent. Several of us had the pork belly appetizer and it was so good I could have had two. The Osso Bucco with hollandaise was great and so was the cappucino mousse. We also did the 3 wine pairings for $20 which is a steal. I highly recommend Braise and it is a great deal for the price."

"Three course pre-fix menu for Restaurant Week had several choices for each course and each was attractive. Salad and soups were very tasty. Osso-bucco and fish courses were properly cooked, had good flavors, and were beautifully plated. We did not care much for the chocolate mousse as it was heavy and grainy in texture. There is quite a good and varied wine list. Overall, a lovely evening."

"Too much experimenting in the kitchen - we felt like we were the guinea pigs, testers for all the chef's bad ideas. Waaaaay too expensive - a real rip-off! What a waste of time and money!"

"The food was excellent and very imaginative. The chef came to our table and told us about the ingredients and preparation of the each of the courses, and the wait staff was very professional. A really good experience."
