Braddock's American BrasserieWonderful DiningWe enjoyed a delicious and relaxing dinner prior to attending the symphony on Saturday evening. Our seating was at a lovely booth that afforded privacy. The food was incredible and the waitress was delightful. We ordered the steak and frites, and the serving was more than generous...I was stuffed and gladly took the remainder home. The cauliflower dish was incomparable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who inquired. We will definitely be returning.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food. Great atmosphere.Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Located in the cultural district5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDinnertFood was good comfort food. Way too much per plate.
Thank you waitress for telling us the salads can be served 1/2 size. The entrees should
also be cut in half!!!!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food for the Mother'sThe food for the Mother's Day brunch was delicious! However there are two concerns we had: First, I wish they would have identified what each dish on the buffet as it was difficult to figure out at times. Secondly, a 20% tip was added to our check in a group of 3 -- and for a brunch. While we consistently leave a generous tip, we thought this was a bit much for a brunch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAll courses were great!Salmon was cooked perfectly. Cocktail (sidecar) was excellent. Fish special was cooked perfectly. Grand Marnier creme brulee was excellent. Overall, best dinner we've had in a long time.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat food slowish serviceThe food was amazing except for the crab cake app. It was full of filler and no lump crab meat. The other items we ordered were fantastic.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExpected to be busier ... A++I made a reservation with the assumption that the restaurant would have been busy. Upon arrival, it was the exact opposite. Little crowd ... BUT the food was fantastic, the service was amazing and portions were equal to the cost of the meal.
Strongly recommended to try.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMImaginative menu, large portions,Imaginative menu, large portions, lots of choices.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMVirginia resident favorite placeEverytime I visit Pittsburgh, I make sure I dine at this resturant. Love the food and even have a favorite server who remembers me.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBusiness Lunch GemThere are very few downtown restaurants that combine good food and service with an environment that is quiet enough
to have a meaningful business discussion over lunch.
Braddocks meets theses requirements nicely5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBeet and Feta Salad Supreme!I've been to Braddock's Brasserie many times and always have a great food experience. Visited twice recently on consecutive nights and while I did not order the marlin special, my friend did and I tasted. It was a first experience with marlin which was tender, flavorful and generously portioned, In fact, the portion was so large that an appetizer is best omitted or shared. I got two 'small plates' for my entree--the pierogies (delish!) and the crab cake with lemon aioli (marvelous light lemon flavor). My favorite was the beet and feta side salad which has a small cake of warm feta and a generous helping of beets. Great for pre-opera or post- matinee theater But reserve even for 5pm dining.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first visit to Braddock'sOur first visit to Braddock's American Brasserie ranks as memorable in all good ways, and we will certainly plan to return. All the food was prepared perfectly and tasted great.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMy daughter and I statyedMy daughter and I statyed at the Rennaisance and ate at Braddock's for her eleventh birthday. We had a great waitress and the food was excellent! We got a free appetizer coupon upon check in. In the morning we had the Sunday brunch. The omelet station was very well stocked and the waffles very tasty. It could have had more fruit and some more variety of foods. The buffet was complimentary with our stay. We will definitely be back for dinner!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe chose Braddock's AmericanWe chose Braddock's American Brasserie for dinner before a show that evening. We found the restaurant setting to be very pleasant and affording a great deal of privacy. Service was very good, and we were able to have a lovely dinner with plenty of time to make our show. The food was well prepared and overall we felt it set an excellent tone for our evening.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful, as always, andWonderful, as always, and they got us through dinner in time to make our show, all without rushing us. The free valet parking was an added perk, and our car was waiting after the show was over.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMPre-show DiningIt took me a long time to discover Braddock's, but it's now at the top of my list for downtown dining. Great for pre-show dinner. Great variety on menu.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMRenaissance Hotel's GemWe really enjoyed this. The cheese plate, my god the cheese plate!! SO much cheese! Such good cheese! Such an awesome variety. I can say we have eaten a lot of cheese plates and with every one there is a cheese or two we don't like that much. Which is fine - no fault of any restaurant and we love trying new things. This simply was NOT the case with Braddock. Every one of those darn cheeses was delicious! And there was so much of it! The two of us had plenty of cheese! My meal was delicious, the soup was great. Cocktails were sublime. We will definitely go here again. The hotel also was amazing but I suppose that is not relevant to the restaurant. Good find!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food. Chef evenVery good food. Chef even made us a special appetizer. Elegant but comfortable restaurant.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time we had the pleasureFirst time we had the pleasure of dining at Braddock's Brasserie. We had dinner before a show at the Byham theatre next door. Everything was outstanding -- food, service, ambience, decor. A little pricey for those on a budget, but well worth the expense for a special occasion. We will definitely be back.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I ate dinnerMy husband and I ate dinner before going to the theatre. The proximity to the theatre was very convenient. The food/service was excellent. This is one of the few restaurants in Pittsburgh where you can get lump meat crab cakes.
Also, we sat in the hotel lobby before going to dinner. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWould go againThe food was very good. I went at lunch time. They had a reasonable spread of choices for the time of day, from soup, salad, and sandwiches, to pasta and entrees. The dessert menu had a lot of variety and the dessert I got (pretzels) was very good. The waitress was attentive at the start, but by the end, we had to find her to be able to order dessert and pay the bill. It may have been because the restaurant was not busy.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and ambiance! Our group of 6 were duly impressed with everything. We will be back. Thank you.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent!!!! Great placeExcellent!!!! Great place to go before attending local theatre!!!! Valet parking a plus!!!!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were aattending prior toWe were aattending prior to the symphony. We were seated immediately and the service was just fine. Presentation and portions very nice.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best hotel restaurantThe best hotel restaurant in Pittsburgh, and one of the best in the city in general.2/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was great. Our server,The food was great. Our server, Katie, was very personable and friendly. The restaurant decor is beautiful. The only negative we had was the winelist. It had some decent choices, but the prices are ridiculous. The bottle of wine we chose was $50. We got that same bottle last fall at a restaurant in Ohio for $28. It must be a PA thing, as we looked at a few other winelists of nearby restaurants and found the same crazy mark-ups. Other than the wine prices, we had a very enjoyable experience at Braddock's.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
