The decor in Brackets is very minimal, with lots of big screen TVs that make sports-watching easy. They have a shuffleboard table, a foosball table, two pool tables and two ping pong tables that can be rented by the half hour. We tried the pool table and found the level to be off so significantly that a softly-hit ball would actually curve as it rolled downhill. Also, there was a hugh pillar and a jukebox strategically placed near the table that made shots from certain angles virtually impossible. The pizza was very good, although my wife's was in the oven for just a minute or two too long and was a bit too done for the thin crust.

Food was good. Plenty of TVs. Service needs improvement. Our server appeared to be working too many tables, and thus was inattentive.

Valet were very good! very courteous When you first walk in it looks small but they have a very large back room. We a reservation for a booth, first the hostess didn't acknowledge us, then she sat us a at a table even though booths were available. we asked for a booth she rolled her eyes and said they were all full. the mgr walked by and pointed out a booth they had a live dj who thought this was a club played 90's music WAY TOO LOUD! the servers looked liked it was their first day on the job...very confused and very slow! the food was decent but not worth a second visit. Over all the Valet was the best part of the meal We won't return there are a lot of better place a few minutes away in uptown like frankies or primos

At first Brackets looked like a tiny little bar with about six tables, a pool table and shuffle board. Once I walked past the front room it opens up to a huge back area filled with ping pong, darts, more pool tables and a countless TVs. Great food, service could use a boost but still a solid choice.

Food is over priced for what you get. TV placement isn't ideal. The space wasn't intended to be a sports bar, so the sitting distance from TVs is too far.

Unique sports bar. Has promise to become something great. Although, they didn't have enough staff when it became busy. That will kill a new place before you know what happened. The first person who greeted us when we sat down for dinner, was the jello shot girl. That really wasn't appropriate for dinner at 7:30pm. The Beer Pong was a little interesting. Meaning, if you are catering yourselves to a young 20's crowd, great. Anyone in their 30's and above may entertain that once, but isn't a reason to come back.

Half the entrees on the menu were "not available" the evening our group decided to dine at Brackets. How can a restaurant of this caliber and a professional Chef allow this to happen and then promote their business on Open Table is beyond me? I could NEVER recommend this place ever. I was embarrassed for my out of town guests!

A big disapointment. Our television at home is bigger than the screens here. Bad service (15 minutes, to get acknowledged) , lackluster food and uncomfortable chairs make a bad combo for an "upscale" sports bar. Also, beware if you are seated in the bar that although it is non-smoking it smells horribly like smoke. Patrons go outside to smoke at time outs and half times and the smoke wafts in side. We left at halftime as our living room was a better option to watch the game.

Very unimpressed from the moment we arrived! Hostess was too lazy to get up off her stool to greet us and then was very rude when we informed her of our reservation. The restaurant was empty and we asked to move to another location closer to the larger TV's, as we were there to watch the Mavs playoff game, however my guest was rudely told that they were all reserved but as we set through the first quarter the restaurant did not ever fill up. Our server was friendly but average as was the food. Chicken was dry and the tacos lacked anything to make them stand out for the price. Very lackluster - we left after the 1st quarter and went to Central 214 (which is not a sports bar) but had a much better time!! Will not be returning!

Good place for watching a ball game. The crowd seemed a little heavy with the SMU crowd. The service was a little too overzealous - servers tried to take our plates three times within 15 minutes when we were still eating! But they were very nice.

Brackets has terrible service. It take about 20-45 minutes to get a drink or something to eat here. It's way understaffed and the waiter couldn't even divide our bill for us at the end of the night. They ran out of beer, glasses and certain foods. I give this place about another month before it goes under.

It was a very busy Friday and Brackets was packed with people watching the Mavs in the NBA Playoffs. Apparently half of the kitchen and some of the servers walked out, because the busy bartender was our server. He was very friendly but was in the weeds all night. He couldn't get back to the table to take our order for about 30 minutes and it was over an hour before our food arrived. That said, the Cuban sandwich is tasty and the pizza is better than average. Hopefully the slow service was a one-time thing. Will probably give this place anither shot.

We made reservations through the site and were put at a table with almost no view of the TV's, and this is a sports bar? We asked for a better table and the mayhem insued. The food was only adequate too, the tuna nachos were bad as the bean puree completely overwhelmed the ahi. The pizza came with no mushrooms on the second half so they sent it back to the kitchen and put mushrooms, raw, on the second half.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

Brackets has no idea what it wants to be. Is it a sports bar (lots of TVs)? Is high end restaurant (nice menu, but no execution in the food)? Is it a dance club (crazy loud Top 40/dance music)? It needs to focus on one thing and be good at it instead of being average to below average in everything.

Valet parking, prestigious area, exciting menu. But the inside was trashy. More East Dallas than Palomar or SMU. Music turned up loud on a sound system that couldn't handle it. Surrounded by pool tables and table tennis.

Brackets is great for social gatherings, ping pong tournaments, watching a championship game. It is not the place to go for well priced, quality made, enjoyable food. The challenge: how do you create an upscale sports bar which offers high quality eats? If this is the goal, Brackets is far from reaching it. Here is what we had to eat, and would not recommend ordering: SLIDERS. Pulled pork with Texas cabbage & Sriracha mayo. The cabbage and mayo were missing entirely- and there was hardly any meat. Fried Chicken with chipotle honey - where's the chicken? There's more meat in a Chick Filet mini that cost 1/2 the price. Kobe beef sliders with white cheddar, scallions & BBQ. Way overcooked, poor treated Kobe. No on pizza and burger too.

This was our 3rd time at Brackets, the first two times it was some of the best pizza and service we ever had. This time, i guess they had a busboy serving our table of 7, because he didn't get the orders right, didn't tell us when things were missing from the kitchen(like key ingredients in the pizza), and he spilled a beer on my date. The manager did tell us that they were out of basically everything, including the flour for the pizza, so they had to get some from walmart. I don't think they should have even taken a pizza order, if they couldn't make them like Il Cane Rosso, which is who they came to be making pizzas as. The service was horrible, the pizza was worse then tostinos.

The guys all got the ribeye, and the ladies all had pizza ( brick oven style). This is great if you've got a group of people with a variety of interests and tastes!
