Be warned. IF you sit in the blue chairs at most of the tables you will find yourself feeling like a child. I am 6'2" and the blue chair is sooo low that the table is chest high. What were they thinking? The food was always been excellent, we have dine at BRABO an number of times but frankly this is mostly a restaurant (from my observation) where people want to talk and it's simply to loud. Honesty, keep the staff, keep the chefs but completely gut the space and come up with something better. I did recommend special occasion (because of the food) and romantic, but I did that with hesitation since it can be challenging to carry on a conversation.

Went with the Restaurant Week menu. First, an outstanding salad of fresh greens with bacon vinaigrette topped with a poached egg. For mains, I had skate with ratatouille, and partner had hangar steak with 3 sauces. both were very satisfying--nice portion, well prepared. (Nice to see skate on a menu.) For dessert, we both had the Belgian waffle with berries. Great finish to a delicious meal. Service was perfect. Dining room is inviting, with polished wood floors, comfortable chairs, not too loud. We will definitely be back.

Waitress very responsive & informed. There was nothing on the fixed priced menu that suited our tastes. Regular menu options selected. Very loud patron @ the next table unfortunately spoilt the evening we chose not to address the issue however a couple on the other side of this patron did leave the restuarant not waiting to be served.

My wife and I come here often for special occassions. When we found out that Brabo was participating in Restaurant Week, we were thrilled. We've tried other high end restaurants during RW and have been disappointed. Brabo was AMAZING. The choices available for each course were wonderful, the staff was exceptional, and the meal was an impossible deal for the price. Truly a perfect dining experience. And I must say, the lemon poppy Belgian waffle dessert was hands down the best dessert I've ever had, anywhere.

BRABO is one of those places to take someone special to. Our in my case, to try out at Restaurant Week! The service was great, the server was attentive and suggested great wine selections. Vichoyssoice with potato chips was velvety with a great crunch. Perfect appetizer! Next was the steak fries that was served with a side salad. The portion was off as it was a full portion not a small one as found in other places for Restaurant Week. However, the meat was cooked perfectly to medium with a light brown sauce, and an abundance of matchstick fries. The dessert was good as well, a milk chocolate creme broiled. Overall, a very good pick!

The food and service were fantastic. I highly recommend the mussels, they were some of the best I've ever had. The waitstaff was great and the manager even wound up comping us our appetizer because they thought we waited too long for our dessert to come out. Everything about the restaurant was top notch.

The four of us enjoyed all three courses of our dinner at Brabo's. The soup was particularly flavorful; the hanger steak was well-prepared and tasty; the lamb was tender and cooked to medium rare as ordered. The server remembered that one of us could not eat refined sugar and offered an ample serving of mixed berries for dessert (very thoughtful). It was a most pleasant evening, reminiscent of our other outings at Weidermaier's restaurants. Thank you!

We had a great experience as part of the August restaurant week. While we were only given two options per course (as compared to the usual three that most restaurants offer) the food and drinks were excellent. I especially appreciated the variety of cocktails. The staff was attentive and careful to ensure that we were satisfied, without going overboard. I highly recommend this place for a quiet, date-night outing.

Went to BRABO for Restaurant Week. My friend ordered off the Restaurant Week menu, I had the regular menu. I had greek goddess salad, salmon with tomato water, and parfair for dessert. It was all very good. The salmon dish didn't have a whole lot of flavor but I felt it was healthy choice, the water said it was their take on light summer fare. The parfait was so good I wanted to take another one home. Nice restaurant with space between tables, which I like -- not too crowded dining area. Friendly waiters. So, will go back again, I wasn't disappointed at all.

Brabo is a fine restaurant with great attention to detail. Presentation is appetizing without being unnecessarily fru fru and pretentious. Even the greens are fabulous. For those who are more adventurous, I would recommend eating a dish you "think" you might not like. Brabo has a special knack for new interpretations and great flavor profiles. The wine list, however, depresses me by reminding me that I can't afford to drink wines in my own cellar.

Everything was delicious. I had the royal sea bass filet and my husband ordered the honey roasted duck breast. Both entrees were absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. My husband's favorite part of dinner was his cocktail. I believe it was called a gazpacho rickey? He said it was tart and refreshing and that he could drink an entire pitcher. The only thing I didn't like was that the tables were so close to one another.

We went to take advantage of their restaurant week menu and were glad we did. We got the melt-in-your-mouth hangar steak and the red snapper (available as an alternative to the skate option listed on the menu) as our entrees. Service was super attentive and helpful; we had all the right time between courses so that we were never rushed nor were we left waiting for the next dish.

I was disappointed with our meal at Brabo. We had a reservation at 8pm. The host didn't seat us until 8:15pm. I understand that it was restaurant week and busy. Our waiter literally forgot about us; he came over once between 8:15 pm and 9pm. We tried to flag him down multiple times. We weren't given the opportunity to even order dinner until 9:10pm. Once ordered, the food came out quickly. I was rather disappointed with the sea bass - I received a thin, flat, and large end piece; not what you expect when you order sea bass. I also ordered a side of the mushrooms, which was different than described on the menu. By the time I realized their substitution, it was 9:30 pm and we were just too hungry to reorder. Overall, very disappointing.

Can't remember the entree name, but it ended up being a piece of steak with french fries. The salad was very good, the dessert was fair. I'd eaten there several times before and really enjoyed the food from the regular menu, but I don't think they put much effort in to the $35 meal for Restaurant Week.

The fish dishes we ordered were good. We noticed that you really have to love the theme of the ingredients in the fish dishes. The flavors become prominant in the dishes. The food proportions were perfect, except for the dessert. The desert was ridiculously tiny. Not at all a good ending to our celebratory meal.

Went to Brabo during Restaurant Week. While the food served was very good, I was disappointed with the selection. The Restaurant Week menu only had two selections for each course - not enough options. For the main course, if you didn't want to try skate, your only choice was hanger steak. If you order off the regular menu, be prepared to spend some money. The wine is very expensive too. Happy hour at the bar is a good deal, but it ends at 6:30.

I went to eat at Brabo's after having been to his flagship restaurant Marcel's and to Brasserie Beck. Of course, Marcel's was excellent, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at Brabo's. I had the halibut and thought it was very, very good. The flavor was really surprising. Also had a chocolate dessert that was very good. For me, the only negative is the over-inflated wine prices. Other than that, I could not recommend it more highly.

But food was very sub par. The restaurant itself is nice and service was good, but it's the food you go for after all and it was pretentious without being able to walk the walk. Dessert was a joke. How can you list something as a coconut custard and then serve two squares of the size of postage stamp? The real chefs must have had the night off.
