best. Of all the places we tried during Derby week- these folks shined. The first greeting at the reception to the last goodbye- everyone was friendly without being overtly phony. They were genuinely happy to see us and serve us.
I had the seared scallops for starter and was in heaven. I was a greedy pig by only providing small bits to my friends. But the best was still to come. The duck breast -seriously. It was not overlooked nor over seasoned. Get the duck.

We had a reservation at 9pm but got there early to see if they could fit us in, they could and did (even with it being Derby/Oaks weekend)...except we ended up sneaking into a spot at the bar. The bartender was incredibly knowledgable and gave great suggestions. My husband had the pork and I had the filet - wonderful! Truffled grits, yum! Spicy fried oysters, delicious! Their bourbon list was beyond impressive. Food was pretty decent and everyone in the party indicated they thought everything was very good. Bistro has a nice ambiance and wait staff was very attentive and bartender was very knowledgeable on their bourbon selection.
