Bourbon Street Bar & GrillA bit of New Orleans in New YorkBourbon Street Bar and Grill, located on "Restaurant Row", is a large, sometimes loud, fun place to have dinner or just a drink at the bar. Service was swift and efficient, the wait staff were friendly without "hovering".
If you like Cajun/Creole food you wont be sorry. There is an extensive list of New Orleans beers and drinks, napkins are wrapped in Mardi Gras beads - the menu is representative of New Orleans cuisine. The restaurant is on 2 levels, the main dining level is upstairs, with an enclosed "garden" area in the rear. There is also outdoor seating on the balcony overlooking 46th St.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMdisappointingThis used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Having lived in NOLA for a number of years Bourbon Street USED to have good food reminiscent of this wonderful city. Over the past year, it appears that they have changed their menu--particularly the mac and cheese, have changed their recipe for Calamari--it used to be barbecued and now its fried with a side of bbq sauce, and barely season their food. I know we're in a recessession and cutbacks must be made but this was ridiculous. I won't be going back. I encourage people to go to Delta Grill on 9th avenue if youre looking for creole/cajun food.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGood restaurant by the theatersBourbon Street Bar & Grill was a good restaurant in the heart of the theater district. The food was good and the service excellent. The value for the food was also good. The deserts were amazing.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFunI went here with a few friends for dinner/drinks. We got seated immediately. Our server was on point the whole night, and our food came promptly. We caught the happy hour specials...$5 for a cosmo! The atmosphere was energetic and fun, and the decor as well. We were seated upstairs, near the outdoor seating. I enjoyed the food I ordered, and very reasonably priced! I would definitely go back here.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful RestaurantFood and service was excellent! Happy hour was a nice surprise especially being in the Times Square location.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice set upI liked this restaurant/bar. I will come back next time to try the bar scene. It's very big and the prices are right. The food is very good also, highly recommended. They should have more alligator plates is my only complain. The AC was a little too high since we are not in the summer yet. Overall, I will be coming hopefuly often.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great night but theWe had a great night but the service was not as good as I expected it to be. There was a wedding going on that we were not informed of. I would try to go again and to see if service is always like that. The food was delicious as were the 5 dollar hurricanes!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe visited before a musical,We visited before a musical, the location is perfect and the restaurant was nice with good food.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Good New Orleans FoodWe enjoyed the food and the "New Orleans" atmosphere. Service was wonderful, staff did everything possible to please us. My one daughter is gluten-free and they suggested the menu items that could be prepared that way. My other daughter wanted the Chicken and Dumplings, but does not eat mushrooms and they were happy to prepare it that way. All in all it was a good experience. Also, since we eat lunch in the city often, I found this restaurant fairly inexpensive compared to other restaurants in the area. What more could you want, good food, good service at a good price.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMa wonderful dining experience!we had a wonderful time.food was great and the service excellent. Hostesses very nice and our waiter "Thomas" excellent - he knew when to come over and when not to. Will definitely be going back again. Love those $5 cocktails!!4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMSouther food gem in NYCBeing a lover of southern cuisine, especially New Orleans food we decided to try out this place. We started off with beef burger slingers and had Po Boy's for mains, they tasted amazing! Our server Scott was very nice and he told us just about how much food was on the plate, which was very helpful. Would definitively recommend and will definitively return! Great place!3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMwow what a great place!! excellentwow what a great place!! excellent situation, wonderful food (we had royale mac and cheesse and jambalaya then pecan pied), greay service!!!3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMVery nice place. FriendlyVery nice place. Friendly staff, good food, nice atmosphere. Always a good time and plan to return.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMTabasco Makes or Breaks the Deal!Great time. It was alot better than I'd expected
I've been here for lunch previously and it was a bit quiet... at night IT IS TURNT UP! It was a bit loud, but I enjoyed the music that was playing so I didn't mind it that much. Just don't go into it thinking you're gonna have a quiet dinner (and why would you... it's a "Bar" and Grill)
Overalll the gumbo needs work, but the jambalaya and oyster poboy were on point. And you might get in a fight over the last hush puppie... those were amazing! The service was great! Which was a different experience during the aforementioned lunch. Plus they have Tabasco on deck... that's how you know they're legit.
Definitely recommend this spot!
- Cajun Creole3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSecond Time Did Not DisappointSecond time here, this time for lunch. Ambiance and decor are outstanding -- a nice, large space, beautifully decorated for the holidays. Menu is largely comfort food with a New Orleans/Cajun twist. Get the $5 Hurricane drinks! Great buy and they're yummy!12/14/2012 12:00:00 AM
