"Hands down the best steak that I've had in a long time! I got the Wagyu Beef Flat Iron. My wife and I went here with another couple and had a great time. The service was spot on. Very on top of things, but not overwhelming. Everything that everyone order was excellent. They serve the sides family style, which is nice. Everyone got to have a little bit of everything. The truffle mac and cheese was to die for. The Monk's Julep was too good! They were going down faster then they probably should have. The only thing that I thought wasn't excellent was the deserts. They were good, but not top notch like everything else. Maybe if the bar wasn't set so high with the rest of the meal I'd be giving them more praise."

"Very disappointing. Waitstaff was excellent. Ambiance was non-existent. Hangar steak was good. Ribeye with bone in was tough, flavorless and over salted. The killer was the cracked crab appetizer which consisted of 4 crab legs for $24.00 - I'm not kidding!!!! Read an earlier negative review which to paraphrase stated "with all the excellent steak houses in San Francisco there is not reason to return to Bourbon Steak House". We completely concur."

"The steaks were great and the waiters were very friendly. The food is very much served in style - everyone gets their food at the same time and the final garnishing is done wonderfully before your eyes. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier is very knowledgeable about the wines.

I also enjoyed the bourbon flute they serve - considering it's a restaurant 20 dollars for 3 different bourbons is surprisingly cheap.

All in all, this was one of the most enjoyable meals I've had."

"Brought girlfriend there for her birthday. I was surprised that the staff all signed and gave a birthday card to her. They even included a candle on her desert order. Very friendly staff. Attentive to detail. Delicious food. Not for a private intimate dinner, however excellent service and food."

"Went with high expectations and got mixed results. The service was outstanding. The duck fat fries were a a yummy start! The steak was very well prepared but had to stand alone as the rest of the dinner was disappointing. A once in a lifetime dining location..won't return."

"One of the best restaurants that I have been to. Right from the start we felt like the chef was cooking just for us!! We were seated early with a very attentive waiter that was willing to answer questions for us. We were even asked if there were any food allergies that the chef should be aware of. The steak and ducj breast that we had for dinner was out of this world."
