Bourbon Steak - Four Seasons Washington DCFood and service were bothFood and service were both excellent if a bit too loud to be comfortably conversational. Would go back again6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMgreatA great experience apart from not having a clue how much the 4 oz wako beef was until we were presented with the astronomic bill. I wish we had been told it was $140! Pls have your servers give some clue as to the huge cost of this item, which was good but not worth that much. Thank you6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMDelish! We love this restaurant - the food is fabulous. They have great cocktails and wine list too - definitely pricey, but good for a special occasion.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat steak in a hotel restaurant!Long and complicated cocktail list but staff were very helpful.
Food was amazing although all extremely rich. Too much choice on the menu.
Red wine was served a little on the chilled side for our liking.
Definitely a buzzing scene.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMScrumptious!!Tuna tartar! Skirt steak!! Mac & Cheese & creamed spinach!! And the complimentary fries!! Oh this place is too good to be true :) Definitely worth it for a special occasion!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMJust . . . Wow.Party of two, started out with the ahi tuna appetizer, which was mixed tableside. Also had the foie gras 'tart', which was *incredible*. My date had the mahi mahi, which was great - the fish stood on its own, as they didn't overcook, overseason, or over-sauce it. I had the duck, which was AMAZING; so many different flavors, separate but blended wonderfully. All accompanied by a bottle of the Sancerre. Our waiter then found us a table in the courtyard to finish our wine and enjoy the night air. Fantastic service (go Paul!); every service person that brought and presented our dishes was at the top of their game. My date and I agreed that it definitely qualified as one of our top five meals ever. EVER.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was an excellent eveningThis was an excellent evening and as always an overall fine experience.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFit for a QueenFor the best steak in Washington, Bourbon Steak has no equals. Lovely evening.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding but very expensiveHere you pay a pretty penny for every single bite, and it is beautiful and delicious food. Love those fries! Good for a special occasion or a memorable experience.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceA place this nice isn't my normal choice, but it was so worth it to try once. The food wasn't overly awesome, but there were a few gems. The A5 Japanese wagyu tenderloin was amazing and the truffle mac n cheese was wonderful.
The staff were impeccable. Perfect mix of hosting a formal dining experience while still being warm and friendly.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food!Wonderful service, menu, and variety.....but WAY too expensive.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperbA wonderful experience -- from the staff to the food. This place is simply superb.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAll Around Great Evening OutExcellent selection for each course - every meal we've ever had here has been delicious. Restaurant has inventive and unique sides available rather than the "usual" sides. 1/2 lobster and/or foie gras as sides are always an appreciated choice. Asparagus with poached egg- very tasty. Service and drinks are first rate. A very enjoyable evening out in every respect.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Wedding AnniversaryWent there for my 3rd wedding anniversary. My wife wasn't sure based on the menu because we don't typically eat at nice/expensive restaurants, so the first thing on the menu being caviar was a little intimidating. Every course was delicious, and by the end of the night she was admitting that I made a great choice (very rare).5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDuring the last two yearsDuring the last two years we have visited Georgetown 11 times and had dinner at 20 plus moderate to expensive places. Bourbon Steak is simply the best of Georgetown area!!!!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectionBourbon Steak went out of their way to make us feel special. We were celebrating our 26th Anniversary; they offered each of us a complimentary glass of champagne. The food was prepared to perfection...served hot and tasty. This a great choice to celebrate any occasion. A must try!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWent to celebrate a friendsWent to celebrate a friends birthday. Everything from the duck fat fries and rolls to dessert was fabulous. Staff does an excellent job in attending to every request/need we had.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat foodI left one star off because my filet mignon was overcooked & that is unacceptable from Bourbon Steak. I would usually send it back, however, we were hosting international business clients so I reluctantly finished it. The sides were amazing, as always (kale with mortadella, truflle mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, magical mushrooms) & the desserts were the perfect way to finish the evening. The only unfortunate event was my steak.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat food/service, extremely noisyWe went to celebrate a birthday and opted not to have a drink in the bar before being seated due to the noise level. A birthday note was also on the table which was a nice touch. Our server was outstanding and very well-informed on everything from the wine list to cuts of meat and house specialties. We opted for bison and wagyu steaks and were not disappointed. We received three distinct mini orders of gourmet fries with complimenting sauces that were excellent; salads were large enough we could have shared, and the Truffle rolls were delicious. We received a complimentary course of rockfish tartare which was truly amazing. We passed on dessert. Had we known there were so many extras we may have ordered differently!5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe confirmation process theThe confirmation process the day of the dinner was confused and not well handled. The satff was very professional.
The prices are quite high.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic restaurant withFantastic restaurant with impeccable service. Definitely on the pricey side but well worth it if you are in the market for a few delicious cocktails, some fantastic wine, and a simply ridiculous dry aged steak,5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Service, Good FoodWe reserved a table for two on a Friday night. We noticed a couple friends in the bar area, and our waiter was very accomodating in finding a larger table so they could join us. The appetizers were ok, but the porterhouse was excellent. The drink menu is unique. Bourbon is pricey but definitely worth it for special occasions.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMNot worth the hypeI'd been wanting to go to Bourbon Steak for a long time, so I was very excited for our dinner there. I kept hearing about duck-fat fries and butter-poached steaks - yum. Unfortunately, while many of the side dishes were good, especially the bread, the fries were just that - fries. And the steaks - the main event? Totally underwhelming. Mine was over-seasoned and over-cooked. I didn't find it to be very tender at all - and maybe it's just me, but if you're going to charge $50 for a steak, it should melt in your mouth, especially after it's been poached in butter. I might have recommended Bourbon Steak for cocktails and dessert, but dessert really wasn't that great and my cocktail was syrupy-sweet. Service, though attentive, was slow.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMSo great! Service was perfectlySo great! Service was perfectly timed even though our waiter seemed like he had a bunch of other tables. The sommelier helped us pick the perfect bottle of wine. And of course the food was lovely.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, loud environmentService and food were excellent. Absolutely no faults there. The environment, however, was not ideal for a romantic dinner or even a small group dinner. We were not given (nor did we know to ask for) a private booth. One of us sat at one of those long benches with the other across a sizeable table so that we had to lean forward to talk to one another as it was loud in the restaurant and we couldn't hear each other very well. Also disappointed to see someone in a grubby t-shirt and jeans at a neighboring table. I wouldn't consider that business casual.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGuys I love it we had greatGuys I love it we had great time will be back again4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat food, wonderful service...butgreat food, wonderful service...but the prices!! come on...really? entrees from $55-85?? that is ridiculous....no matter where you dine or what city you dine...that is too much....4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOur entire experience at BourbonOur entire experience at Bourbon Steak was fantastic! We came here from my dad's birthday and they really made it a great time for him. Great food, great drinks, great service. I would definitely recommend it for special occasions.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMfood and service - outstandingfood was excellent; our server was outstanding - make sure you ask for Paul when you go
he is a dedicated to ensuring your dining experience is the best it could possibly be!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Place for Dinner! The service was the first thing I noticed. From the time we walked in, were seated and then treated to a wonderful walk through the menu. Our waitress was terrific and did a great job at sharing the menu and its highlights as well as answering all our questions. The food was amazing and the presentation elegant, the service was friendly and accommodating. A great place to come with your partner or a group of people or for just a special night out.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMVery noisy -- not clear whyVery noisy -- not clear why the eighties music has to be pumped so loud.
Service was uneven-- sometimes excellent, sometimes forgetful.
Food was very good, though the desert was forgettable.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe thought the food was goodWe thought the food was good but had much better at other Michael Mina restaurants in Vegas and AC. The service was ok but very noisey....maybe just an overall off night.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic MealThis was my first time at Burbon Steak, and I was extremely pleased. The appetizers we ordered (Tuna Tartare and Steak Tartare) were beautiful both to look at and to eat. The steak I had (wagyu style flat iron) was AMAZING!!!! Actually, I don't know if steak is even the right word for it, because it was a taste all its own. It is definitely worth a visit just to give that a try.
The restaurant was very lively, which was fine with me. But, if you are looking for a very quiet place, you may want to consider other options. The service staff was attentive without being overbearing, so it was a good balance.
Overall, the meal was a great experience, and I would gladly visit the restaurant again.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBourbon StreakI had not been to B/S in a couple years but reminded quickly of why I loved it..Lamb special was outstanding and attention detail great as always4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding restaurant andOutstanding restaurant and great kids menu. Dinner was pricey but worth it3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe thought the NY Strip withoutWe thought the NY Strip without the bone was a little tough. Swordfish was over cooked. Artic Chard was perfet as was the NY Bone In Steak. Love the french fries as a greeting and the bread was fabulous. Our waiter was very nice. The food is a little pricey.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was very good. The onlyIt was very good. The only negative is it just took awhile to get our food.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is another excellentThis is another excellent Michael Mina restaurant; fantastic menu selections and outstanding food. The wine list is one of the finest and most comprehensive I have ever seen at a DC restaurant with realistic and reasonable prices for hard-to-find wine bottles. Service at this restaurant is off-the-charts superb. My only issue with Bourbon Steak is how the tables are so tightly arranged and thus, the guests on two-top tables are squeezed in between larger tables and get drowned in minimal space and high noise volume. This is probably NOT the best choice for a quiet romantic dinner occasion on a Friday or Saturday night.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI wanted to love Bourbon Steak,I wanted to love Bourbon Steak, and it started off well with a very friendly host staff and delicious cocktails at the bar. But once we were seated, it was a different experience. We felt pressured to order more items from the menu than we wanted, our order, once received, was incorrect (both for dinner and dessert), and it was so loud that it was hard to hear each other talk across the oddly long table for two. The steaks (beef and bison) were certainly delicious, and we enjoyed the wine we chose (without help/advice or suggestions from anyone), but we wouldn't return.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe are a family of 4, allWe are a family of 4, all adults. This is an attractive upscale venue. Steaks were popular with the guys and considered delicious and I had the lobster pot pie, also great. Service was good, ambiance pleasant. A nice, but not stuffy, spot for a special event.
Good location with valet parking.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMthey held our reservationthey held our reservation even though we were late.(I had called and they were polite about it over the phone)
I took my friends thefe for a celebration and they all were delighted with the place.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding cuisine and serviceOutstanding cuisine and personalized service at this upscale restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown. This is a steak house restaurant and also features excellent seafood. The ambiance is 'classy meets seductive' with mood lighting and booths and tables. The bar adjacent to the restaurant is a very lively one, and a great snacking menu too. We ordered the Tuna Tartare (incredible!!)smoked Swordfish, and Mahi Mahi. All outstanding. The sorbets and profiteroles completed an incredible dining experience. The complimentary freshly baked truffle bread rolls, and tasting selection of french fries is also a nice touch, and delicious. This is a 'must-do' restaurant. Our server was Colin and he was very helpful with the menu selection.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMColin was amazing ! I haveColin was amazing ! I have a vegan diet and he went above and beyond and we were celebrating a birthday-he was thoughtful, considerate and very energetic!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe lobster pot pie was excellentThe lobster pot pie was excellent and entertainingly presented. Oddly, the beef, which I understood to be one of the strong points of the place, was only OK.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGood business lunchWas there for a business dinner. The pad thai was surprisingly good. The service also was very good. In particular, the server wasted no time in clearing up a mixed up order (wrong salads were served). Generally a reliable place for a business lunch.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMalthough Bourbon Steak isalthough Bourbon Steak is usually excellent, it seemed more so than usual! Great food, great service!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful steakhouse experienceA wonderful steakhouse experience different from the usual suspects. Highly recommend the wagyu flat iron and the black truffle mac n cheese. I will definitely return.3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMVery expensive! But, alsoVery expensive! But, also very good. Probably a once in a lifetime visit.10/6/2012 12:00:00 AMHad a wonderful meal at theHad a wonderful meal at the restaurant with a group of 5. VERY quiet for a Monday afternoon but we were pleased with the service and the food. I love that their fish and meats come with one side of a veg or potato. It makes it much easier to get other sides to share (greens, onion rings, fries, etc.) They also accommodated my request for BT mac n cheese even though it wasn't on the lunch menu! Delicious fish for our whole group, prepared perfectly. Everyone loved the sides, mushroom soups for starters were okay but a little unexpected. Overall, great lunch and everyone left stuffed!1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
