As long as you eat inside you will love it.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFriendly atmosphereFrom the moment you drive down the cobblestone street, the staff is so friendly...the valet parkers, the staff at the front door all very accommodating....very, very nice place...loved everything...food was delicious....we had the mashed potatos and fried chicken...when we first got there we had calamari appetizer that was delicious...I had my 18 year old with me and he enjoyed himself very much...he felt very comfortable. He was able to run up and down from concert to upstairs to catch some basketball on tv's. He was impressed also with staff including the kind owner. The band members were so personable. The sound was great. They worked so well together....just a great experience! Would definately go back! The food and drinks were delicious and enjoyed by all. I would highly highly recommend the alligator quesadilla and a hurricane to start. Potatoes were really good but overall food didn't stand out compared to other places in the area for brunch. Doesn't mean I wouldn't come back though. The owners were so kind to give her a complementary dessert at the end of our meal. I'm guessin it was the manager or maybe the owner he did make a stop by to check on our dining experience. The service is always fast and friendly. This is a perfect happy hour spot in Manayunk during the week. As soon as you walk in there is a warm welcoming atmosphere. The bar area is very large and the happy hour specials are unbeatable. $3 draft beers, $3 Three Olive Vodka drinks and half price snacks and apps. are a great way to start dinner. I enjoyed the fried calamari as an appetizer. It’s served with fried jalapenos slices and a fresh marinara sauce. Very good!
For the main course I had the pork chops served with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. The portion was very generous so I took half of it home for lunch the next day. I got the filet mignon and she got the tilapia. She loved the fish and sweet potato hash. We both had great vegetable sides (garlicky spinach and broccoli).The steak was pretty good, but it was't the best cut of meat, which you would expect when getting a filet. That's about the only complaint I can make.
