A word from Boulud Sud
Chef Daniel Boulud’s vibrant Mediterranean menu offers flavors from France, Spain, Italy, Greece, North Africa and Turkey. There is an emphasis on grilled fish and meats as well as an abundance of fresh vegetables. With an entrance on West 64th Street, Boulud Sud is just steps from Manhattan’s Lincoln Center and is adjacent to Bar Boulud and Épicerie Boulud.

Monday through Friday Boulud Sud offers a $29.00 three-course lunch in addition to our a la carte menu. Sunday brunch is served from 11:00am-3:00pm with a $32 two-course prix-fixe supplementing the regular menu. At dinner, Boulud Sud offers our full a la carte menu as well as a $60 three course prix fixe menu featuring Boulud Sud classics and a 7 course tasting menu showcasing all of the flavors of the Mediterranean at Boulud Sud for $115. For lighter fare, join us in our bar and lounge open from noon daily.

Three private wine themed dining rooms are available for private events.

  • "Went for the pre-theater prix fixe. Generally, the food was thoughtful and well-prepared. Two complaints: the first course arrived way too fast, and about one-third of the steak was inedible because of a tendon that ran through it. The tendon was visible and it was obvious that much of the peice could not be eaten. It should have never been served."

We were very pleased with our selections - arugula with grilled octopus appetizer, strip sirloin for my husband, and scallop "paella" entree for me. Desserts were decadent and delicious - chocolate torte and chocolate mousse. A great choice for a special occasion and convenient to Lincoln Center and Columbus Circle events."

  • "When finished with her meal, the diner at the table next to us knocked over a glass of wine on our table. Part of the wine went into my entree and most of it was absorbed by the table covering. Six staff descended on our table and they replaced what needed to be and had the tad reset within minutes! I even had a replacement entree(it was fresh pasta with an excel land sauce) in front of me within a few minutes. When my wife and I ordered desserts, a third one appeared on our table for "our troubles", complementary of course. We will be back!"

  • "The restaurant itself is a short walk across the road from the Lincoln Center. It has a large dining space, but tables fill up right before showtime at the Lincoln Center. I took my wife here for her birthday and partook of the pre-show prixe fixe menu. Got the mezze plate and shrimp appetizers, the chicken tagine and harissa-spiced lamb entrees, and the chocolate ganache dessert. All of the dishes were excellent -- especially the hummus and babaghanouj on the mezze plate. Chicken tagine was soft and succulent. The only thing that didn't strike my fancy was the couscous on the lamb plate. Restaurant also provided a complimentary glass of dessert wine to my wife for her birthday!"

  • "I like coming here but one consistent problem is the MALE wait staff. They need more training, to know when to interrupt and not to begin talking about the specials when you've just sat down. , Usually when you're trying to order a drink, or when someone at the table wants another drink there is no one around and we are swiveling to catch someone's eye but have become invisible. The male waiters are nice, but lack judgment and finesse. We waited 30 minutes for bread the other night, after asking twice. . This is not the first time. Recently though we were not ready to order and hadn't called the waiter, he arrived, pad open, and didn't leave until we ordered. . Would like to see a few more simple wine selections by the glass. Thanks"

  • "The elegant but understated dining room is the perfect back drop for the bold tastes and dramatic flourishes of Boulud Sud's menu. Each dish, a list of Mediterranean classics, was deeply flavorful and beautifully presented. Big hits included the grilled octopus starter and the perfect scallops. We also went nuts over the crazy-delicious Givré, a frozen grapefruit rind stuffed with grapefruit sorbet and covered with a deranged mass of shredded halva. Even though I am not a big grapefruit fan, I would go back again just for that dessert."

  • "First time here and I tried out their Prix Fixe Brunch. I recommend The Cocotte as it was an out of this world sausage and egg combination. The Hummus was tasty, too. The Blood Orange Dessert and Ice Cream were a perfect way to end the meal. I really like the creativity here and how well it's done. I've been to many places that try to be creative only to ruin dishes. Not the case here. It is pricey and I'll never understand why a glass of Mimosa is $16 but I guess that is par for the course considering the area. Service was a little slow at times but very polite, friendly and professional."

  • "Second visit for us at Boulud Sud. We ate an early dinner before the opera. Location could not be more convenient, arrived 20 min late to no complaint (tunnel traffic), and seated at the window. Pre-fixe dinner @ $60 for 3 courses. Georgian shrimp special for appetizer, one lamb, one chicken, dessert was glacee and chocolate mousse. Shrimp was beautiful, but only 1 large. Entrée also modest size, OK with me, and very good. Dessert and coffee as good as any. Service was uniformly outstanding. Food was very good. Nothing that makes the list of best dishes ever, but all very good with a good menu and exceptional wine list. I would say comparable to picholine across the street for food, but much noisier."

  • "We were in NYC Saturday and my husband asked that I find a really good restaurant to have dinner with our friends who live in the city. I remember that they had been to Boulud Sud for a special occasion dinner, but I never heard from them what they thought of their experience. The food was excellent! The service was excellent. The waiter explained the menu clearly and concisely. We ordered three plates to share and individual entrees. Everything was wonderful. For desert I ordered the cannoli, which was outrageous, the best I've ever had. Dinner was so pleasant it made our evening a perfect experience."

  • "Very good, interesting food. Try the pork cheeks...they were delicious. Forego the crab and Unami and have the octopus, and the fried artichokes (the portion is very generous for two!) Staff was excellent. Attentive but not obsequious, and they gave us an extra dessert for my friend's birthday. Will go again."
