Bouley features the exciting culinary talents of famed four- star Chef, David Bouley. Bouley offers French cuisine with modern Asian influences served in an elegant and intimate setting.

In addition to the รก la carte menu, the restaurant offers a $55 five course tasting menu for lunch and $175 six course tasting menu for dinner. Parties of 8 or more may order from the tasting menu only and deposit is required to secure a reservation. Chef Bouley is always happy to accommodate all dietary needs and restrictions.

Jackets are required for gentlemen at both lunch and dinner.

  • "We went to Bouley for the 5-course tasting lunch which we had with the wine pairings. While expensive, you get more food than the 5 courses, lots of surprises and extras. Blini with salmon was a particular treat; the blini are more like large marshmallows that melt in your mouth, and then you get a salmon surprise taste. The porcini flan with crabmeat is my all-time Bouley favorite-a rich, flavorful dish. Endless desserts, each one better than the last. Impeccable service, formal but not stuffy. Oh, I almost forgot the cherry bread, filled with tart cherries. The wines were all good and this is an easier way to go, as they have an extensive and pricey wine list. Can't wait to go back."

  • "I had a wonderful experience with the tasting menu for lunch. It was more than enough food, and they even brought out a couple of amuses and an extra course to try. I couldn't even sample the petitsfors. I was way too full. And very satisfied. For my palette, the dishes could have pushed more toward the savory side. There was a lot of surprising "sweet" throughout my menu choices. But everything was interesting, and beautiful, and delicious. Most men were wearing a jacket, so know that going in. Although I was somewhat casual, I was very relaxed, comfortable and well taken care of. I would absolutely go there for the "chlorophyll" soup. Out of this world!"

  • "We had the lunchtime $55 5-course tasting menu. Everything was excellent and quite unique, so it was well worth the money for a birthday special occasion. In addition to those 5 courses, you get amuses bouches at the beginning of the meal, as much bread as you want from an array of tempting choices on a bread cart later in the meal (this on top of the delicious bread you're given at the beginning of the meal), and a selection of very fancy chocolates, macarons, etc served after dessert. Of course, when you add a bottle of wine and coffee, the meal is rather pricey, but it was a special occasion."

  • "Had tasting menu and a la carte. Foie gras app was delicious. Now tasting menu: Sea urchin w osetra caviar - sea urchin from the shell was not naturally sweet as expected, disappointment. It was complemented w mandarin gelee which brought out the taste of the osetra. But I taste the mandarin flavor again in gelato w hot chocolate lava cake, which contained bits of crunches as I bute throughout the whole cake--poorly done. Next was the alaskan king crab w other crab n blk truffles, really enjoyed it- large chunks of meat good portion. Next lobster boat- not naturally sweet very bland, good portion & cooked jus right. Duck not complemented well. Petit fours were too sweet. Didnt care for raspb soup. Waiter left plate n didnt intro it, rude"

  • "I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life. The waiters paid almost no attention to us, screwed up our orders and forgot all of our drinks. Also, I had loved Bouley for their care with food allergies and wonderful gf free bread. But this last time they screwed up the allergies, and the slices of bread were so think I could see through the slice! When the waiter was cutting the bread in front of us it seemed as if they were saving up on bread which was absolutely ridiculous for a restaurant that charges $50 for an entree. And when I asked for more bread they never brought it! Overall the dinner was bad, the food came in cold, the flavor was terrible, just a poor disappointing experience overall."

Both years were wonderful experiences. All the restaurant staff paid attention to details since the reservation process. After having had lunch and dinner at Bouley, it is not hard to understand why this place was filled all the time. Must see for yourself."

  • "The last time we dined at Bouley, we were blown away by the food and the service. That was over 15 years ago. It is wonderful to know that some things never change. We were lucky enough to be able to dine at Bouley this weekend and were very pleased with the 5 course tasting menu. Everything we ordered was a delight to our palate. My mom still raves about the Kobe beef and I am still dreaming about the souffle I ate. And the $55 price tag was a delight as well. The service was very attentive and constantly in motion. If I had one criticism, it would be that the place is not spacious enough. But the ambience is cozy, like someone's living room. This restaurant is a MUST to experience. We plan to return again and again."

  • "We come here once a year for my dear friend's birthday because it's way down in lower west Manhattan and in the $$$$$ category. If I were rich, I'd make the trip and dine here weekly. The shrimp and scallop appetizer was one of the best I've had. The duck was beyond divine. The desert courses endless and scrumptious....with a lemon bread gift at the door as we left). The ambiance is literally what you'd expect in the parlor of a palace, breathtaking lush silk brocades, satins and velvets... and stunning art. I just can't find fitting words, but no cascade of superlatives is sufficient to describe this meal or this place. It is always an experience to go here. I only wish I could do it more often."

The tasting menu was superb, so varied, so delicious, we even had some room at the end to sample some of the cheese with a superb bottle of Margaux.   • "Entering this beautiful room always puts us ' in the mood' for a wonderful experience. And this is exactly what we had under the direction of uber maรฎtre d' George Thomas & his excellent staff. The sommelier, Adrien, is knowledgeable and personable. The menu includes many interesting choices. Although there are always twists and turns in the amuses and the vegetables, my one wish would be for some new offerings...a bit hard to say with so many 'old friends' on the menu. Do not omit the cheese course as the cheeses are in prime condition/marvelous....and the post dessert petit fours send you happily on your way back to reality."

The food was absolutely delicious and the bread cart that they bring around is a very unique and enjoyable touch. Throughout the night we were treated to complimentary champagne, small dishes from the chef, and an amazing dessert because it was such a special night for us. The Bouley staff knew just how to make the night magical and did everything they could to make my fiancรฉe and I feel like we were the most important people in the room.
