  • "This was our third time eating at the Boulevard and as they say, "three times a charm". We received the most outstanding service from Aaron. He was very attentive and friendly. The food was quite good. Had a bit of a problem with an over-cooked fish however Aaron was on top of things. He insisted on making things right with the meal - and worked to make sure that replacement dish was to our satisfaction. We will not hesitate to eat here again."

  • "My date ordered Lamb which we she requested medium Rare. It was served very rare. We sent it to be put back on the grill. It came back modertely better but unacceptable. They took it back and we ordered the Filet Mignon instead and it was excellent. My Pacific Bass was not excellent but still very good. Our appetizers were risotto and also heiroloom tomato and buratta and both were excellent. It did not meet our expectations but was still a very nice evening. My Date and other food afficianados say we should ask for a credit of some sort to use in the future. Our total bill was $ 212.00 I would like to give this experience another try.   • "My wife and I are Boulevard fans but the waiter this night acted disengaged from the beginning and was inattentive. The final proof of this was totally forgetting to bring (actually to even register) our wine order. Perhaps he was just having a bad night and I like to think that is what it was. The food/drink was great. We had a couple of martinis and to rat we had the Ahi tuna and soft shell crab and the Filet. As always the atmosphere and surroundings were fun."

  • "I had wonderful service and great food two months ago at my relative's birthday dinner. I don't know why this time there is a huge difference. May be because it's a "Tuesday" night...that the master chef was off or may be there was a convention in town that Boulevard couldn't handle the crowd? This time was my friend's birthday and we were dying to enjoy the excellent food and exceptional service again. Bus boys weren't that attentive and the wait staff from the reception to our waiter were not up to our expectation for this dining experience. They all had cold faces and made us felt unwelcome. Food was average with nothing to brad about. I really feel hesitated if I should come back the next time."

  • "We recently surprised my husband for his birthday at Boulevard. The staff carried off my requests -- seating our son and girlfriend early -- and the surprise was a success! They also gave us a corner table that provided our own space for a wonderful visit and easy conversation. The food was fabulous, starting with the scallops, continuing to the fish entrees (the halibut was amazing), to the delicious desserts. The service was attentive but not intrusive. It was truly a wonderful way to celebrate!"

I t is also a welcome relief to be presented with such high quality food that is expertly seasoned where many of the restaurants today drown their food in seasonings and garlic. Our server made us feel truly welcome, urging us to stay and enjoy when it became apparent we were ready to leave. Busy restaurant nut we never felt rushed. Gorgeous view of the Bay Bridge and Pier 39 from our table. Can't wait to go back! We had the Salmon, Lamb "t bone" and game hen. All equally scrumptious with gorgeous plating."

  • "Make reservations well in advance. It will be worth the planning. Everything was perfect. We were seated promptly and the service throughout the evening was excellent. We started with and an exceptional salad of crab, melon and avocado. The favors were delicate but blended perfectly, very creative. My wife ordered the quail, prepared two ways; some lightly battered and marinated, and other pieces crisply broiled. Both were excellent and presented beautifully. I had the halibut which was likewise excellent. While both were excellent, the creative preparation of the quail got our vote as the best choice. All in all the Boulevard exceeded expectations based on the reviews we read. We will be back, probably more than a few times."
