I ordered Medallions of Beef with Blue Crab rare. I got roast beef drowning in gravy never found the crab! I expected better food and won't be coming back."

I ordered the featured wine by the glass while waiting for our table and was told that shouldn't be on the menu because they no longer carried it. The bottle of wine I requested when we finally were seated at our table was no longer available. The wine list appears to be "notable", but have to wonder what is truly available."

  • "It was a decent experience. Not as impressive as I was told to expect. The steaks were cooked well and the spinach/artichoke dip was excellent. However, the remainder of the food was less than expected. The au gratin potatoes were very bland and the broccoli was the top of a stalk chopped off laying in a clump on a plate. Five star dining this was not. The restaurant is dark but lit enough to notice the sconces were in need of dusting and cobbweb removal. When paying $10 for bland "yellow tasting" potatoes they should be able to afford a cleaning crew to do more than change the linens on the tables. Wait staff was friendly but slow. We sat for 10-15 minutes without even seeing a menu or waitstaff. Not some place I will rush back to."

  • "This is our second time to try the Monthly Dinner Club, and we plan to come again. For $54.50 per person, you get 4 courses and 4 3oz. pours of wine. This month's wine was good, but not great. The appetizer was smoked pork tenderloin on cauliflower puree, the salad was watermelon and mozzarella, 5 oz tenderloin with a bean ragout for the entree and strawberries and shortbread with whipped cream cheese for dessert. Loved all the courses, but the standout was the steak (as usual)."

Starting with a perfectly made Caesar salad with just the right amount of Romaine and dressing with shaved parmesan. The Romaine just the right size without having to cut up large pieces to eat. The bone in ribeye was perfectly seasoned and cooked to the exact temperature. Delicious, flavorful and tender. The wines by the glass selection are a good representation across the varietals and they even surprised me with a creme brulee honoring a recent birthday. I shall return."

I'm a 'foodie' and have to tell you that everything exceeded my expectations. The house (Boulevard Cabernet) wine was enjoyable and had a perfect finish when paired with the steak. My steak was done to perfection - sizzling on the outside with a cool pink center (medium). Whatever you do, save room for dessert. The banana dessert is yummy! The portions are a good size on the salads and desserts. "

  • "I've been wanting to eat here for a long time now. Unfortunately we made the mistake of going on prom night!! The table accross from us had 12 prom-goers. The room were were in is pretty intimate, so we could literally hear the conversation of everyone at every table. The prom kids were not very pleased with the drunken loud conversations of the surrounding tables, and they made a point to speak VERY LOUDLY over everyone. The ambience would have been cool any other night, I think. The food was typical of any steakhouse in town. I think I prefer the food at Red Prime. "

  • "We arrived for our (earlyish) reservation at 6:00 pm. Of course, there were only a couple of tables filled by that time. In an already very dark restaurant, they took us to an alcove in the back of the place, away from any sunlight at all. OK, not that big of a deal. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, which came with 3 sauces and plenty of the large shrimp. I enjoyed it. I ordered a 10 oz. filet, which was cooked perfectly and the meat was very tender. The only problem was that it was under-seasoned. For the first time in a long time, I had to put salt on a steak. I'm not sure whether the lack of seasoning was normal for them, but if you're a purist, you might like it more than I did. I would give them 1 more try, but that's it."

It has a perfect ambiance and it is truly fit for any special occasion. It is where my wife and I went on our first date and now this visit was for our 7 year anniversary.   • "An excellent fine dining atmosphere. There are at least 4 separate dining areas as opposed to a single big area with partitions or partial walls. Piped in music was good, but definitely low enough to allow talking. The salmon was cooked and seasoned just right. The filet was nearly tender enought to cut with the fork with great flavor. The garlic potatoes and asparagus were good, but served warm, not hot. Brandy Ice was tasty, but too thick - needed more ice or more time in the blender. Service very good. 3 glasses of wine, two entrees, two veggies, one dessert, $140 w/o tip."

  • "This place has it all. Great food, endless wine list, outstanding service, and fabulous ambiance. But the noise level was reminiscent of a college bar. We could barely hear our server, let alone each other. And for us, a night out away from the kiddo is few and far between. So it would've been nice to converse a little more than we were able to. I know this has nothing to do with the restaurant itself but it did have an effect on our overall enjoyment. Other than that, the night was magnificent. We will definitely return and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for top of the line food and service."
