After four years nothing changed! still a great restaurant with great service. All around fantastic! This one happened to be our 32nd. The staff was great and gave us a desert on the house for our special occasion. The filet mignon was fantastic and the service was superb. We had appetizers and a salad. Seems like the place to go for Happy Hour because we hit the tail end of Happy Hour and the place was hopping. Then just after 6:30 pm lots of people left and it was much quieter. It's too noisy for a cozy, romantic dinner, especially during Happy Hour. The Cobb salad was very good. The artichoke appetizer was good. The grilled watermelon with goat cheese on a bed of endive was very good, but the price was way too much - $13.50. The Cork's Colorado Cut is up there with the best I've ever had. Maybe the best. My co-diners raved about their respective prime rib end cut and sirloin selections. The desert menu is great and will break the will of the most diehard dieter. As 'senior citizens' it's wonderful. The portions are a little smaller, so just right, and it helps us stay on budget. We celebrated yet another birthday at "The Cork," and were served their incredible mud pie! We all agree it is the best mud pie we've ever had! We highly recommend this great restaurant and will go back again and again! PS The service has always been excellent! Loved the blue cheese sauce and the Bernaise, but the chimichurri was not a favorite.
I prefer warm bread, with olive oil for dipping. Here, the bread is served room temperature and the butter served with it is cold.
The drinks also got mixed reviews. One person loved the house margarita. The Cosmo was overly sweet. The wine selection was very good. The waitress brought a glass of wine, when a bottle was ordered.
In general, the waitress seemed rushed and didn't take the time to inquire about how we were doing and if we had additional requests.
The Cork is a lovely place for special occasions, but is far too expensive for us to dine there often.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMUnexpected change in menuThis rating applies to dinner at 7 p.m. On a Saturday night. We appreciate the consistently good service and the diversity of the menu. We were sad to see that the small fillet has disappeared from the menu. All of the other steaks are too big, so we ended up with burgers, which were very good.
