  • "There is no place like the Boulder Cork for celebrating events with friends or meeting friends for a drink. Thanks for the wonderful service!"

  • "The wait staff was so kind and the food was beautifully prepared. My mom and I had both ordered the prime rib, both being cooked exactly to specification with the sides of baked potato and seasonal vegetables. All three were absolutely worth the price of the meal. Just wonderful."

  • "We don't stop at the Cork frequently but it's always on our list of go-to places, especially when we want a good steak. This time around, we had 3 couple all celebrating wedding anniversaries (married the same year many years ago and before we knew each other). We had a great meal, excellent recommended but not outrageously priced wine, very good service (wish I caught his name but our server has a French accent), and they comped dessert for our joint celebration. It was a good reminder to go back before too much time passes once again."

  • "The service was excellent, the food was prepared perfectly. Had grilled watermelon salad. Never had it before and was delighted with the dish. Everything was great."

  • "The best classy w/o being solicitous restaurant. A beautiful restaurant doesn't call attention to itself. This is one of those."

  • "Always a great place, was there for Father's Day and everything was great! The special "Early" menu that goes from 5:00 - 6:00 must be checked out by all. Thanks Cork!"

  • "We had dinner here 2 times. The food, service and ambiance are excellent. For our first visit my husband had the roast beef end cut and it was the best - so lean, tender and with great flavor. My entree was the best trout I have ever eaten. It was prepared with a barbeque sauce that complemented the fish perfectly and was not overpowering. The vegetable sides were also excellent. On our second visit, we both had the trout. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "The Cork has the best steaks around, the wine recommendations are great, and the service is excellent."

  • "We went to the Boulder Cork with great anticipation since it is notable for its steak. The menu was good and the service was excellent. However the prime rib was very disappointing. Both my husband and I ordered prime rib/ medium. It was tasteless and I am not sure it was grilled at all. I don't think I will be going there anymore."

  • "We were seated exactly at our reservation time. Food came hot and delicious. Service was just perfect. The Margaritas were good. Everyone in our group was very pleased."

  • "We always enjoy going to the Cork, a neighborhood restaurant, and go a few times a year. The food is always yummy. The service was somewhat lacking this time. We had asked for olive oil for the bread, finally getting it from another server when it didn't come shortly after our request. Our server brought out the salad for one of us while the other two of us had to wait for our entrée salads, i.e. we weren't asked if we wanted to be served everything at once. We were given a booth, which I had requested. We'll definitely go back."

  • "Very attentive wait staff. The food was pricey and so so."

  • "Nothing special about the place or the food. Needs an update. "

  • "Came here with my husband and 2 girls for my husband's 40th birthday. The staff was friendly and attentive, and because I noted the occasion when I made the reservation, the staff took a photo of us and gave us a signed copy. Nice touch! Food was really good -- my husband asked for his steak medium and it was a little on the rare side, but otherwise, everything was delicious. Nice setting with different rooms -- a quiet, more romantic room in the back with the livelier crowd in the front near the bar. Would definitely come back again."

  • "Took my girlfriend to The Cork wanting a great dining experience and left very disappointed. They were busy on a Memorial weekend and the waitress was nice but too busy to pay much attention. Had to flag her down a couple of times. Salad was so vinegary that my date was wincing while eating it along with an expensive cocktail that promised to be sweeter than the sour lemon it was. The entree we shared was pricey and bland even with added salt and pepper. I can cook a piece of fish at home with more flavor. I've been a fan of this place for many years but no more. I was sorry I chose it hoping to have a special night out with my special someone. "

  • "We reserved a time within the early bird schedule for our anniversary. Excellent food and wonderful service. They made us feel welcome and attended to our every need. The photo of us was a wonderful ending!"

  • "This place never disappoints. The filet was fabulous, side dishes incredibly yummy (don't forget to try the Green Chile Mac and Cheese) and they even brought out a wonderful birthday cake for my guest. "

  • "Have been to the Cork for lunch and dinner but not for Happy Hour. Great HH menu! Definately a sweet place to go."

  • "The Cork is a standby for us for any "special occasion" -- basically any excuse to go. Always great food, great service."

  • "My husband and I entertained out of town work friends here and everyone loved it. It was busy but service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Our server was able to recommend a fantastic wine to compliment our meal and brought over a birthday dessert for the birthday girl. We have been here before with family and enjoyed our meal but, this time with our guests, I was so pleased that Cork did not disappoint!"

  • "Service and food consistently good year after year. "Go To" place in "healthy" Boulder for prime rib."
    Dined on 5/14/2014
  • "The waitstaff graciously helped our party of 9 move to the bar for the happy hour menu, after we decided we didn't want to sit in the formal dining room. They were courteous and attentive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is bright and elegant, but without pretense! The HH menu was delicious with lots of unique small plates and a variety of drink selections. The cost was reasonable for an upscale place, and the quality definitely met or exceeded the price. Be prepared to talk loudly, as this bar is a popular HH spot."

  • "I've been eating at The Cork since it opened in 1969 and have always loved it. The food is fresh and tasty. I do tend to order my old favorites like the crab cakes and the steamed artichoke. I think it's a great place to take family and friends from out of town because I can depend on it to be good and memorable."

  • "Reserved a late Mother's Day Dinner. Wonderful food, wonderful service. One of our favorite restaurants to eat when we are in Boulder visiting our college kids."

  • "We have been eating at the cork for over 40 years. Each time the food has been excellent. Easter Sunday was an exception. Four of us arrived at 11:30am. One of our group ordered her favorite prime rib. It was excellent as usual. One ordered french toast. Just OK. High price. Supposed to come with strawberries. It had the equivalent of one very small strawberry . Two of us ordered crab cakes. These were the poorest tasting crab cakes I have ever had. The cole slaw served with the crab cakes was also very poor. neither of us had more than two bites. Over all our Easter lunch did not measure up to Cork standards. "

  • "I have eaten here many times and it is simply wonderful, with outstanding food, and atmosphere. The wait staff is very personable and helpful, but the one downside to this restaurant is that the service is slow. "

  • "I booked at Boulder Cork for my fiancé's birthday, and it was pretty disappointing on a number of levels. First and foremost, I submitted "Fiance's birthday" in the reservation notes, and nothing happened. There was even a birthday Mudpie presented to the table next to us, but apparently the staff must have missed my note. Frustrating. Second, what an inconsistent dinner! Crab cakes-- best I've ever had. Shrimp cocktail-- worst I've ever had. There were four severely overcooked shrimp on a bed of very old garnish. Gross. My filet Ocsar-- utterly forgettable. Her Sake Salmon -- absolutely delicious. I don't know if it was just an off night or what, but we will probably not be returning. "

  • "However their website said the bar opened at 4:30pm then they decided to not open the bar during graduation weekend and turned us away making my 85 year old mom/family and other bar patrons sit in their cars for a half hour until they opened up for dinner service. Can't believe they were turning away the revenue for apx 20+ people waiting for their 5pm reservations. Otherwise the food And service were to their normal standards. "

  • "Due to traffic, half our party would be half hour late. We called and they moved res up for us and were super understanding about it."
    Dined on 5/8/2014
  • "The food and service are consistently good. My only complaint is presentation, if you don't order a vegetable side you get a slab of meat on a white plate which isn't really that attractive or appetizing. At these prices I think they can put something else besides the meat on the plate to make it look pleasing."

  • "The Cork is our favorite place to celebrate a birthday. We like the food, the complimentary mud pie topped with a candle for dessert, and often a photo of the whole scene. Best of all, the wait staff is well trained and friendly, and it's close by. What more to ask for?"

  • "This establishment has been there since the late 1960's and is still going strong. We dined here for Easter Brunch and our party consisted of three adults. Our only complaint was the potatoes were very spicy but everything else was superb. Will definitely return for dinner at some point in time when back in Boulder!"
