This place reminds me of all the wonderful small, mom and pop French places that the Ft. Lauderdale area used to have--only a bit bigger and with a bit more kitchen prowess going for it. It deserves your patronage and we'd best continue to go there or it too will be gone like all those lovely other sweet, friendly French restaurants.

Amazing French food. It was Valentine's day so we did have to wait for our table even though we had a reservation, but that happens on that particular day. Place is nice and cozy, probably seating for 40, good selection of wines, friendly staff. The pre-set menu for Valentine's had options for all tastes, traditional French of course so don't expect chicken tenders. But silly as it may sound what delighted me the most is that in spite of how busy they were even my fillet mignon was cooked to perfection. Definitely going again and recommending it to my friends.

We had a really good experience at Boillabaisse. Food was very good, the service was not great but good. The menu was little confusing, as it mentioned all the times as one whole menu for the night, but was not clear if it was either or to pick and choose. We ended having to pick one item from the appetizers and one from the main course, others had the whole menu for the night. I guess was not clear for all the staff, neither for us.

The Steak Diane was very average, being a piece of meat with sause poured on top, like the meal one used to recieve on an airplane. We requested that there not be any cheese on or in the food. When the dinner was delivered we noticed cheese in the potato. They took it off the plate but didn't bother to substitute for the removed item. The Bouillabaisse was good.

The food at Bouillabaisse was absolutely delicious. From the fresh warm bread, to mussels appetizer, main course specials, and dessert. If it was physically possible to eat more, I certainly would have. Service is only docked in this review because of a rather odd incident involving a reservation. Without going into detail and outside of that, the staff is very attentive and my wine glass was always full. Timing between dishes was perfect as well. The restaurant is small and inviting, though this is typical of the few French places I've visited. I would absolutely visit again and highly recommend this spot. Make sure to book a reservation before simply showing up.

Only negative, which was slight when you compare it to the great food and service, was the small seating area. Overall we loved the experience.

Two couples tried this relatively new small French restaurant in the area, and we were all very pleased with the food, and service. I had escargot that was prepared in a sauce, not the normal presentation in shells with garlic /oil; but it was good. We had the French steak and we had a veal dish. No deserts were ordered. The menu was limited, and the prices were fair for a non-bistro type French restaurant. I will return to try the feature dish of Bouillabaisse.

This was a pleasant surprise. There are few French cuisine choices in the area. Although the "curb appeal" of this place is limited it is more than made up by the intimate and well decorated and lit ambiance in the interior. The menu had a good selection of French standards and the wine list was more than adequate. I had the veal which was superb....my companion had the shrimp. Both were excellent. The couple next to use was raving about the pate but we had the potato soup and the lobster bisque as our starters. Each was rich and delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The room itself is very intimate and quiet...perfect place to take your date or significant other.

A great place for a fantastic meal and experience! I highly recommend the opportunity to make a reservation. It is rare that a new place opens and they serve a full bar instead of just beer and wine. We have enjoyed dinner at Bouillabaisse more than once, twice, three times and we have always had a great experience. Thank you, and that is a true compliment!

We had a delightful evening at Bouillabaisse this past Saturday night (10/29/2010). The cuisine was exceptional. The smoked trout pate was exquisite and the chocolate souffles were a throwback to the age of haute cuisine French restaurants. How lucky we are to have such a fine restaurant in our neighborhood. We can walk there from our apartment. I just hope it can make it in the highly competitive restaurant market here in Fort Lauderdale. Expensive, and worth it!

We find this restaurant on tripadvisor. Despite open just for 9 month it's not new, even door was hard to open. This is small and cozy French restaurant (~15 tables) and probably good for small groups (2-4). It was pricy ($200 for 2 including $50 bottle of wine) and overall good experience for us, except we get beef instead filet mignon, even we insisted that we need really medium filet mignon. Because of the event, we decided to try beef without "fighting", but in the end we not like it. Lamb was not too bad. Escargot was not inspiring. Wine is pricy mostly $50-$500 per bottle and no per glass prices in the menu. Lady get the rose (literally) at the end and it was nice. The restaurant of this price range should check what customer ord

Service was truly delightful, food was EXQUISITE. A definite for foodies. Two minor things made me wish we would have ordered our food to go: 1. The proximity of tables and lack of other patrons (off-season dining) meant we were able to hear the other diners too well--and in turn felt a little uncomfortable, like we needed to whisper. A bubbling fountain or a little background music (there was none) would go a long way. 2. The wine list was longer than the actual menu, but I don't remember seeing any wines by the glass (only by full bottle), and the wine was WAY too pricey anyway.

It was not a busy night so it was no surprise that the restaurant was quiet and service very attentive. Everything our party of 4 selected ranged from very good to excellent. My arugula salad was full of flavor. Our dining companion said the onion soup was one of the best he ever had. Two of us had the signature bouillabaisse. They said the fish was perfectly done lthough my husband likes the more spicy garlicky version he gets in Italian restaurants. Our companion had the crispy duck which he raved about and I had th crab crusted grouper that was not only very flavorful but perfectly cooked. Thc creme brûlée was excellent with the crunchy crust of creme Catalan. The decaf coffee was the only low note. We will return.

This was our second visit to this relatively new French restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, and once again we were very pleased. It was hard not to order the same meals as last time since we were so happy with them, but we did try something different. My husband had veal medallions which were tiny, tender & delicious. My daughter tried the special of the night, shrimp & scallops in a creamy cognac sauce which was absolutely great. I had the signature dish, bouillabaisse. The broth was very good, and the seafood was very fresh. Just a little overcooked for my taste, but that's kind of in the nature of the dish, I find. But very tasty. Desserts were great as well. We tried the trio of sorbets, the dark cherries with ice cream and the creme brulee.
