A word from Bouchon
Highly acclaimed chef Thomas Keller (of The French Laundry) is behind this beautiful Yountville restaurant. Enjoy excellent French bistro cuisine in a dining room offering wonderful Parisian ambiance.

We invite you to visit Bouchon Bakery, an authentic, country-style boulangerie located next door Bouchon Bistro. The Bakery serves traditional French breads and pastries and is open from 7am - 7pm daily.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "I have been dining at Bouchon for many years, and this latest time it was even better than ever."

  • "After having appetizers at the bar two nights prior, we decided to go back and try dinner. We were majorly disappointed with the endive salad to start and the service was forced and personable and lacking genuine hospitality. The steak Frites was under seasoned and lacked caramelization. The chicken liver mousse was very good however. Overall, we were very disappointed from the food and service even though we are big fans of TK's restaurants."

  • "I think this place is overrated. The food is decent but not exceptional. I think there are many other restaurant with similar styles in Napa that offer better food and menu than the Bouchon."

  • "One top French restaurant . Food was straight forward a tradtional gem."
    Dined on 7/15/2014
  • "Quality of food and service have been consistent. The restaurant has been well maintained and clean bathrooms."

  • "Bouchon is a tiny step below The French Laundry so we save money and have great quality food, service and wines. Seasonal salads, soup, charcuterie, squid ink pasta, salmon tartare and of course wine."
    Dined on 7/14/2014
  • "All the food was really good and the price is very fair. The service is very nice as well. The cheese plate is spectacular. The place was a little bit noisy, specially because we were sitting by the bar, which was crowded. We will come back for sure."

  • "The seating was cramped, the background noise was loud and the food was just OK; better than average, but not really special or exciting. I'd rather spend a little less and get a lot more at Bistro Jeanty, Mustard's or a couple of other places in Napa. However, their bakery (right next door) is great! Not to be missed."

  • "This was our second time to Bouchon and we continue to be blown over by every aspect. Even down to the side dishes! The Mais et Lardons was to DIE for! We were fortunate to get Brian again as our server and he was forthcoming with information, had a fantastic demeanor and we never noticed a lack of anything. Lively atmosphere is friendly and fun. Counting down the days until our next visit!"

  • "My best friend and I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday meal at Bouchon. We sat outside since it was such a lovely day but we both commented on the charming interior. Each of us had unique and refreshing cocktails (mine was the Pont Neuf, with gin and elderflower). The wine selection was amazing and the Chenin Blanc we chose was perfectly cold on a warm evening. We split a delicious and unforgettable heirloom tomato salad with ricotta salata and basil vinaigrette. For my meal I chose the moules et frites: mussels in a fabulous white wine sauce and enough fries to thoroughly enjoy every drop! For dessert we picked up an assortment of macarons at Bouchon Bakery next door, where the line was out the door 10 minutes before close. So memorable!"

  • "The steak frites - awesome. The country pate did not disappoint. And what a great wine list."

  • "My first visit was a disaster - average French onion soup, uncooked beans in the cassoulet, average dessert, etc.. This time around, all the entrees were good to great (squid ink pasta, swordfish, lamb, parisienne gnocchi, flatiron steak), the carrot soup was excellent, and the desserts were good too. However, the garbanzo in the lamb were not cooked properly.. I can now conclude that Bouchon does not know how to cook legumes properly - uncooked beans in the cassoulet, almost cooked garbanzo.. So, please learn how to cook beans without making them mushy. Ask any Middle Eastern or Indian cook..! Overall, a nice spot for a casual lunch, reasonably priced, but nothing worthy of adulation."

  • "The appetizers work well with the natural climate of the region in the summer months. What makes no sense is just how heavy their mains/entrees are. I would expect more from a place like Bouchon but serving hearty winter dishes simply do not work well in 70/80 degree weather. Service was impeccable and loved the ambiance."

  • "I truly believe Thomas Keller is one of the most talented chefs in the world…which is why I have to believe he has nothing to do with the kitchen at Bouchon anymore. The dishes are extremely hit or miss, and it doesn't feel like there's any care being put into the execution. Moreover, on this occasion it felt like our server continually forgot we were there (or worse, didn't care that we were there), as we regularly had to ask him a second time for things that hadn't arrived yet. Unfortunately I think we're done with this restaurant. If you're looking to try a Keller restaurant and can't get into TFL, go to ad hoc. If you're looking for good French food in Yountville, go to Bistro Jeanty. If you're just looking for a great meal, go to Redd."

  • "Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. We both had been before and loved the food. This time around the food was disappointing. So sad. Oh well."

  • "We have been coming to Bouchon for lunch since it opened and are frequent patrons of its Beverly Hills branch also. Our waiter, Michael, was a delightful and very knowledgeable professional typical of Bouchon waiters. As always, the food was excellent. The only negative was the receptionist, who tried to seat us in an overflow area near the cash register next to the traffic lane from the kitchen. When we asked for a table for two in the bank of empty tables where we always have sat before, she gave us an icy stare and led us to a table there silently. Shortly after, she exacted revenge by placing couples right on both sides of us instead of the usual every-other-table, even though there were empty tables nearby. Point taken."

  • "Best chocolate mousse ever and everything else was really good too. The service was really good and surprisingly the price was the same as every other restaurant, not too expensive at all."

  • "The French cuisine at Bouchon is amazing. From appetizer to dessert (a decadent, thick chocolate mousse) to the impeccable service, everything was excellent."

  • "Server was not clear on what was comped by my sister and what we w ere paying for. Server did not mise knives for apps. Server did not mise share plates for entrees. Server did not mise main plate for person missing entree. Server was altogether caddy and awkward--very unprofessional."

  • "Once again, excellent. We have eaten here many times and always happy to re_discover flawless service and excellent food. Thank you for a wonderful evening"

  • " Everything was fantastic and the Boudin Blanc elevates "meat and potatoes " to a new level . The only disappointment was the bread. Dense and chewy vs a nice crisp crust and light center. Maybe we missed a new trend ."

  • "We've been to Bouchon's at least 20 times over the past years. Always lives up to our expectations. The 1/2 seafood tower is a bargain considering the portions, quality, presentation and assortment. Chopped chicken liver is one of he best anywhere. Ambiance, professional service staff, variety of menu choices, French atmosphere, most enjoyable. The mussels with pomme frites, is a must if you like steamed mussels in wine, with crisp nearly shoestring fries. Reasonable prices for this type of tasty, quality food, that really offers the French Touch. Highly recommendable and a winner each time we're been there. It's only an hours drive from our Lafayette home and with a reservation, your sure to be seated at your requested time. Be there."

  • "We have the grand plateau, which is a huge plate of seafood. The steak here looks nice as well. A little noisy."

  • "Everything is good: food, service, ambience! Orderd Croque Madame, chicken liver mouse, French onion soup. The only thing is tables are too close two each. You can hear the people talking next table to you."

  • "I ordered Lamb Loin from their special menu when I took the first bite I figured that meat is pretty cold. I informed our waiter, he aplologize and took my plate to change it but I was a little bit annoyed when he returned with the same plate (just warm it up) instead of providing me with new lamb (I just had a small bite). I guess it is acceptable in Panera Bread but not in 5 star French restaurant that charge you arm and leg for each dish."

  • "Lunch at Bouchon Yountville can't be beat. The food is absolutely excellent. We enjoyed a salmon tartare that was delicious. The wine list has a lot of variety and prices are fair. This is a real French Bistro run by people who know what they are doing. The Bouchon team has it all together."

  • "We were in town and wanted to have dinner here on the 4th of July, and thankfully we were able to make a reservation for 5:45pm a few weeks prior to. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was alive(yet quaint and enjoyable). We really enjoyed our food (we started with escargot, then had the trout and chicken). We weren't crazy about the dessert choices, but ended up getting the meringue and fruit. Not notable, but not bad either. We also had a bottle of champagne with our meal. Our bill was around $160. We would definitely recommend Bouchon and will definitely be eating here next time we visit Yountville!"

  • "While in napa we ate at six high end restaurants. The quality of the food at bouchone was the best. Our server was on point and very friendly. The manager was super helpful and accominadating. The hostess put us on a bad table with high traffic but the service and food exceeded our expectations."

  • "Having eaten at Bouchon many times, we were as happy with the food as always, but service wasn't as good as previous experiences. Greeter couldn't seem to even smile as we were being seated. Our waiter's mind was somewhere else for most of the meal. He was friendly, but forgetful. Forgot to bring my wine, had our salad and soup delivered when we had barely taken a bite of our appetizer, didn't fill water glasses consistently... We weren't even there at a busy time of day. 4pm reservation with half the tables empty. Disappointing service experience this time. All our food was wonderful. Zucchini blossom fritters and dip, heirloom tomato salad, french onion soup, swordfish, trout almondine were all delicious."

  • "we went to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and everything was great. service was very nice and non intrusive!!! food was delicious. tomato salad was light and flavorful. lobster crepe was just the perfect portion and very very tasty. open face sandwich was light and truffle tries were the best in the wine country. desserts were great as well and they gave my husband some chocolate bouchons to take home as a sweet gift from them. it does get loud and it is eating right next to each other but it is very bistro like. we have NEVER had a bad meal here."

  • "Had an outstanding lunch at Bouchon. Incredible service fantastic ambience. They were so accommodating to the gluten sensitive members of our group. The food was fresh, innovative and genuinely delicious. Pour waitress was well versed on the wines as well and gave spot-on recommendations. This is our second time at Bouchon (flying into town for two days from NY) and the second time around was even better than the first. Stopped at the bakery after lunch for some incredible macaroons. A must for anyone visiting the Napa valley."

  • "We were about 20 mins early for our 5:30 PM reservations but were seated immediately. Our waiter Bryan was very attentive by checking on us but not disturbing. He always filled our water glasses and still waited on 5 other tables. Thank you Bryan for making my Bday dinner so enjoyable."

  • "We had an early (5:15) dinner, since all other times were full. Service and ambience were great, very bistro-ish. Country pate to start was OK, bread it was served with very good. Spouse had leg of lamb, same PA supplier as French Laundry, excellent. Waiter offered a half portion of pasta, which was nice because portions are huge. The pasta, a truffle ravioli, was the best dish. I had the Steak Frites (comes with fries). It was vaguely disappointing. Perfectly cooked, but lacked the flavor I expected. No room for dessert. Wines by the glass reasonably priced."

  • "If you like loud and unpleasant, this may be the place for you - not for us. Sat next to a guy in flip flops, a backward baseball cap, and a sweaty jersey. Generally caters to wannabes. Our expensive wine was served with AP water glasses . . . Lots of better places in Napa, don't waste your time or your money."
