  • "Best chocolate mousse ever and everything else was really good too. The service was really good and surprisingly the price was the same as every other restaurant, not too expensive at all."

  • "We have been coming to Bouchon for lunch since it opened and are frequent patrons of its Beverly Hills branch also. Our waiter, Michael, was a delightful and very knowledgeable professional typical of Bouchon waiters. As always, the food was excellent. The only negative was the receptionist, who tried to seat us in an overflow area near the cash register next to the traffic lane from the kitchen. When we asked for a table for two in the bank of empty tables where we always have sat before, she gave us an icy stare and led us to a table there silently. Shortly after, she exacted revenge by placing couples right on both sides of us instead of the usual every-other-table, even though there were empty tables nearby. Point taken."

  • " Everything was fantastic and the Boudin Blanc elevates "meat and potatoes " to a new level . The only disappointment was the bread. Dense and chewy vs a nice crisp crust and light center. Maybe we missed a new trend ."

  • "I ordered Lamb Loin from their special menu when I took the first bite I figured that meat is pretty cold. I informed our waiter, he aplologize and took my plate to change it but I was a little bit annoyed when he returned with the same plate (just warm it up) instead of providing me with new lamb (I just had a small bite). I guess it is acceptable in Panera Bread but not in 5 star French restaurant that charge you arm and leg for each dish."

  • "The French cuisine at Bouchon is amazing. From appetizer to dessert (a decadent, thick chocolate mousse) to the impeccable service, everything was excellent."

  • "Great location, French style, beautiful interior decoration, nice small patio and right next to their own bakery (this patio would be much nicer having lunch and dinner there). We took the seafood platter and it was delicious with high quality products. Outstanding wine list. Inside very beautiful but so chilly we could never enjoy having lunch or dinner there so we waited for a table outside and there it was perfect."

  • "We've been to Bouchon's at least 20 times over the past years. Always lives up to our expectations. The 1/2 seafood tower is a bargain considering the portions, quality, presentation and assortment. Chopped chicken liver is one of he best anywhere. Ambiance, professional service staff, variety of menu choices, French atmosphere, most enjoyable. The mussels with pomme frites, is a must if you like steamed mussels in wine, with crisp nearly shoestring fries. Reasonable prices for this type of tasty, quality food, that really offers the French Touch. Highly recommendable and a winner each time we're been there. It's only an hours drive from our Lafayette home and with a reservation, your sure to be seated at your requested time. Be there."

  • "Everything is good: food, service, ambience! Orderd Croque Madame, chicken liver mouse, French onion soup. The only thing is tables are too close two each. You can hear the people talking next table to you."

  • "Once again, excellent. We have eaten here many times and always happy to re_discover flawless service and excellent food. Thank you for a wonderful evening"

  • "We have the grand plateau, which is a huge plate of seafood. The steak here looks nice as well. A little noisy."

  • "We were in town and wanted to have dinner here on the 4th of July, and thankfully we were able to make a reservation for 5:45pm a few weeks prior to. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was alive(yet quaint and enjoyable). We really enjoyed our food (we started with escargot, then had the trout and chicken). We weren't crazy about the dessert choices, but ended up getting the meringue and fruit. Not notable, but not bad either. We also had a bottle of champagne with our meal. Our bill was around $160. We would definitely recommend Bouchon and will definitely be eating here next time we visit Yountville!"

  • "Had an outstanding lunch at Bouchon. Incredible service fantastic ambience. They were so accommodating to the gluten sensitive members of our group. The food was fresh, innovative and genuinely delicious. Pour waitress was well versed on the wines as well and gave spot-on recommendations. This is our second time at Bouchon (flying into town for two days from NY) and the second time around was even better than the first. Stopped at the bakery after lunch for some incredible macaroons. A must for anyone visiting the Napa valley."

  • "we went to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and everything was great. service was very nice and non intrusive!!! food was delicious. tomato salad was light and flavorful. lobster crepe was just the perfect portion and very very tasty. open face sandwich was light and truffle tries were the best in the wine country. desserts were great as well and they gave my husband some chocolate bouchons to take home as a sweet gift from them. it does get loud and it is eating right next to each other but it is very bistro like. we have NEVER had a bad meal here."

  • "We were about 20 mins early for our 5:30 PM reservations but were seated immediately. Our waiter Bryan was very attentive by checking on us but not disturbing. He always filled our water glasses and still waited on 5 other tables. Thank you Bryan for making my Bday dinner so enjoyable."

  • "Lunch at Bouchon Yountville can't be beat. The food is absolutely excellent. We enjoyed a salmon tartare that was delicious. The wine list has a lot of variety and prices are fair. This is a real French Bistro run by people who know what they are doing. The Bouchon team has it all together."

  • "While in napa we ate at six high end restaurants. The quality of the food at bouchone was the best. Our server was on point and very friendly. The manager was super helpful and accominadating. The hostess put us on a bad table with high traffic but the service and food exceeded our expectations."

  • "Having eaten at Bouchon many times, we were as happy with the food as always, but service wasn't as good as previous experiences. Greeter couldn't seem to even smile as we were being seated. Our waiter's mind was somewhere else for most of the meal. He was friendly, but forgetful. Forgot to bring my wine, had our salad and soup delivered when we had barely taken a bite of our appetizer, didn't fill water glasses consistently... We weren't even there at a busy time of day. 4pm reservation with half the tables empty. Disappointing service experience this time. All our food was wonderful. Zucchini blossom fritters and dip, heirloom tomato salad, french onion soup, swordfish, trout almondine were all delicious."

  • "We had an early (5:15) dinner, since all other times were full. Service and ambience were great, very bistro-ish. Country pate to start was OK, bread it was served with very good. Spouse had leg of lamb, same PA supplier as French Laundry, excellent. Waiter offered a half portion of pasta, which was nice because portions are huge. The pasta, a truffle ravioli, was the best dish. I had the Steak Frites (comes with fries). It was vaguely disappointing. Perfectly cooked, but lacked the flavor I expected. No room for dessert. Wines by the glass reasonably priced."

  • "Bar makes restaurant much too noisey for intimate dining. Food was good but not wonderful. Service was very good. Have no desire to return."

  • "If you like loud and unpleasant, this may be the place for you - not for us. Sat next to a guy in flip flops, a backward baseball cap, and a sweaty jersey. Generally caters to wannabes. Our expensive wine was served with AP water glasses . . . Lots of better places in Napa, don't waste your time or your money."

  • "A very attractive setting. Was great for our group of 6. Good service and food. Risotto with fresh truffles was fantastic as were the mussels. Other dishes, like roasted chicken, were just okay."

  • "We dined at Bouchon for lunch while on a weekend trip to Napa. It was the perfect conclusion to a great weekend. The food was excellent with many authentic French preparations. The truffle fries were outstanding as was the fish dish. Service was outstanding, not too solicitous but always present when needed. Wine service was efficient with fine glassware. Will definitely return."

  • "Wonderful evening with fantastic food. The service was excellent."

  • "AS usual the food and service is wonderful. We were there last weekend, and there were '2' very loud, drunk groups of 8--10 at nearby tables. Clearly they were 'tourists' as they were in shorts in a fairly upscale restaurant where shorts aren't worn the loud laughter and boisterousness annoyed everyone in the area I thought management should have done something more,(even though the restaurant make lots of money from the drinking)-----but this was NOT a fun experience for the four of us locals"

  • "Escargot normally are swimming in garlic; there wasn't any in the butter. The pastry caps on the escargot are cute but add nothing to the flavor. Herb butter and shallots on the steak had a burned bitter flavor. The pork chop with a layer of pate was out of balance, you could only taste the pate though the chop was cooked beautifully. The one bright spot was the chocolate mousse which was wonderful. The kitchen needs some work."

  • "The food was good but not great. But the stand out impression was this: Flies everywhere!!! Five flies danced around the empty table next to us, sat on the napkins and silverware, buzzed our heads. When we inquired about a possible solution, the hostess informed us that flies were a problem in the valley when they put manure on the vineyards. Oh great! The flies were sitting on manure before they sat on the fork? We decided to canvas other restaurants on the street. No flies inside or out. I just can't go back to Bouchon."

  • "I am sure Bouchon can be excellent but my experience was average. We sat for 20 minutes before the hostess noticed that a server had not visited our table. We were given complimentary drinks which was nice. My husband enjoyed his meal...especially the truffle fries. My trout was fair. The restaurant was noisy...not a relaxing experience."

  • "I have been visiting and dining in Napa for a years now since it's a short drive from Sacramento. But we finally had lunch here recently for our 1st time, and it was a great experience. Everything we had was so delicious! I had the best mussels ever, and that white wine sauce complimented it so well. My lamb was cooked to perfection, however I didn't care too much for the garbanzo beans it came with. My wife's veggie side dishes were all very tasty. The salad we started off with was simple yet flavorful. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because there's only 1 vegetarian dish on the menu, and just wish there was more to order from. But I'm sure we will go back in the future for a dinner experience."

  • "A favorite whenever we are in Yountville. The menu standards receive fresh fun updates. Restaurant is a transporter to Paris without the jet lag."

  • "I had really wanted to love this place. I love the chef. I had done my research. Since I can't handle a lot of noise due to a medical condition I had booked a dining time for 3:45pm. In Brief: We had to be reseated twice after being placed next to a screaming baby and then screaming drunk adults. The restaurant was half empty and stayed that way. We could have been properly seated to begin with. The seafood was improperly cleaned. The prawns were not completely cleaned of there digestive tract. I would not eat them. This is a Michlen starred restaurant. If I am shelling out that kind of $ I expect close to perfection. Our waiter was excellent and tried his hardest. I was embarrassed for him and we did leave him a nice tip."
