A word from Bouchon
Highly acclaimed chef Thomas Keller (of The French Laundry) is behind this beautiful Yountville restaurant. Enjoy excellent French bistro cuisine in a dining room offering wonderful Parisian ambiance.

We invite you to visit Bouchon Bakery, an authentic, country-style boulangerie located next door Bouchon Bistro. The Bakery serves traditional French breads and pastries and is open from 7am - 7pm daily.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Absolutely fabulous restaurant. The service and food were impeccable."

  • "Always a stop for lunch when in Napa for my visit to my favorite vintner. Wonderful food, always fun. Maybe a bit too touristy sometimes."

  • "During a recent trip to Napa we were very excited to try the famed Bouchon. We were able to get a table at 9:30 on a Friday which was fine by us. The restaurant was filled with music and guests, the hostess was very friendly. And then the waitress mumbled something about well we had specials but we're out of them now. Well don't have reservations so late if you can't accommodate your diners. Our food was excellent, my wine was great, but the missing specials made the restaurant lack that je ne said quoi I would expect from a seasoned and renouned chef."

  • "My mind was set on a great meal from Bouchon, but I could only say just an average dinner and food was on a salty side."
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "We weren't impressed by either soup or salad, very standard even though the French Onion gets raves reviews. The Halibut and Pork mains were very good."

  • "Ever been asked in a Michelin-starred restaurant if you want to 'go large' with your fries? Me neither. That request set the scene for a very disappointing experience involving the most over-salted food I've tasted. The lesson for us is if you're used to dining in Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, don't expect similar quality in the US. I can only conclude the criteria are vastly different. If Bouchon has earned a star, then I can think of fifty unstarred places in the UK that knock spots off it."

  • "Very good Pricey but not more then you would expect. Excellent service, delicious and great wine. What more do you need ?"

  • "There are barely any vegetarian dishes to choose from and the only ones on there were.... just ok. The food took so long to come out that the chef sent us deviled eggs to make up for the wait, even though they were pasta dishes... the typical go to for after thought vegetarian fare. I expected more from a highly rated Thomas Keller restaurant in Yountville, we'll probably go somewhere else on our visit."

  • "Was visiting Napa with wife for her 50th and tried booking french laundry 2 months in advance with no luck. Had no problem booking here. Good food, attentive service and nice ambience. You will spend a lot less here over Laundry and still flavor the food of great chef thomas Keller. Yountville is nice small town where most of everything is within the center and can be walked."

  • "Best restaurant in Yountville for a wine soaked lunch. Food and service are impeccable"

  • "We had a wonderful meal here the other night! Although the do not have a dedicated gluten free menu, the wait staff was very knowledgeable about items on the standard menu that were gluten free or that could be made gluten free. Surprisingly our highlight was the mint ice cream we finished with, this is leaps and bounds above any mint ice cream you've ever had! Although a little loud, the atmosphere was great. Our only complaint was the sticker shock on an order of soup and a side of macaroni, the two combined were almost a full $10 more than one of the higher priced full meals we ordered."

  • "The food and the service is always great! 3 of my co-workers and myself enjoyed the brunch menu this past Sunday."

  • "Have heard great things about Bouchon but this was our first time. It did not disappoint! We had a lovely dinner! We would definitely return."

  • "This wonderful bistro is always a treat....Great drinks, amazing menu, personable service and classic atmosphere. The Trout Almondine is back and as good as ever and he Bibb lettuce salad is always nice."

  • "Since we couldn't get into The French Laundry, people had been telling us to go to Bouchon. We were excited to go to their sister restaurant. We had indulged their bakery goods for breakfast and anticipated a great dinner later. We ordered steak frites and steak bernaise with a good Cab. The steak was very disappointing--$60 dollars for a tough cut of filet. We felt there were much better options in the area. We will not go back. Disappointing food for the hype and price."

  • "The level of food and service remains very high. You may think about changing the menu from time to time. Perhaps seasonally."
    Dined on 4/2/2014
  • "Food was average, maybe we chose badly. Lamb was tough as was steak which had enough fries to feed eight people!! Gnocchi was very dry and very ordinary. Oysters were great. Don't think we would go back."

  • "Bouchon made my trip to Napa special. The food and service were both outstanding. Can't wait to return to Napa in the future to come here again."

  • "There were 4 of us. Two had daily specials with the lobster omelet being the hit! One of us had the scallops which was great. Another is a frequent orderer of lamb and really enjoyed the dish, but was surprised by the amount of beans. That would not be a problem except he is not a bean lover. Our waiter was terrific offering good info when asked. Timing was perfect--plenty of time to savor and converse, but not so long that you would even notice. We plan to return for our daughter's birthday! Our best dining experience in NAPA so far!"

  • "We had eaten at Bouchon, Las Vegas and my husband loved the whole evening so when we planned our trip to Wine Country for his birthday I made a reservation at Bouchon for his birthday dinner. While the decor is similar, the layout of the room is very packed the wait staff had to lean over my husband to reach me with my plate, to refill my water, to remove my plate, my wine.... all night long. While the kids next to us were very well behaved they might as well have been sitting with us, the other side equally close. The acoustics were terrible a bad echo. There was no way we could carry a conversation. Dinner was ok not nearly as good as our dinner had been in Vegas though. We won't be returning to Bouchon."

  • "One of the best meals I have had in a long time! My fiancé and I planned a spontaneous trip to Napa and got a reservation here. WE went on Sat. to toast our engagement. We brought a bottle of wine from one of the wineries in the area, they didn't even charge us a corkage fee. The food was outstanding.. the dessert was to die for!! It was the perfect ending to a fantastic trip. I highly recommend going, definitely on my list of top favorite restaurants ever... and I can honestly say I have been to my fair share of restaurants!"

  • "Had lunch there and it was great! Loved the outdoor seating. The food was GREAT! Best macaroni and cheese and croque monseuir I've ever had. Definitely want to go back and would recommend it to my friends."

  • "Last time we ate at the French Laundry & that is the best we've ever had & we travel often. Bouchon was second only to the FL. We enjoyed dinner at other great location but Bouchon is second best!"
    Dined on 3/26/2014
  • "We were excited about Bouchon because friends recommended it. We ended up disappointed due to the very tight table spacing, dance club music, and overall loud atmosphere. We were expecting a romantic dinner with great food and only got 1/2 of that experience."
    Dined on 3/13/2014
  • "Food is good but not great; service good but not great; ambiance good but not great. Staff is friendly. Barely got a glass of wine when we felt pushed to order. Expect to feel crowded which I guess gives you a great chance to meet your fellow diners at neighboring tables. Getting out of tables that haven't been cleared is a bit of a challenge - in our case requiring an assist from diners at the neighboring table. We put Bouchon in the been there, done that category. Overall good but....."

  • "I had high expectations but was disappointed in my lunch. Roast chicken was over cooked and not particularly flavorful. The dining room is lively and beautiful and service was excellent. Can't remember what my dining companion ate but she was equally underwhelmed."

  • "Been to Bouchon before. Had the Prix Fix menu last time. Loved it. Wasn't offered this time but still had a phenomenal meal. No complaints at all. It is fun to have the Prix Fix menu though with the wine pairings. I would consider bringing that back. Otherwise all I can say is ...Perfection."

  • "Bouchon has matured nicely and is dependable in every way. The menu is very French with a California twist. Everything is fresh and well seasoned with lots of choices and dining options. Thomas Keller is a genius."

  • "The ambiance and food at Bouchon make it worth the trip every time. It starts with impeccable ingredients, add a creative chef and the result is a wonderful meal in every aspect. Don't miss this restaurant!"

  • "Always look forward to coming here, but between fighting the fruit flies, a tepid, mediocre trout and a steak that was rare, not medium rare - it was uninspiring. Thought Angele' was better this time."

  • "Outstanding dining experience. Great menu, salmon, risotto, salads, and appetizers were excellent."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "You could literally reach over to your neighbor's food and take a bite. The food is better than 5 stars and will definitely go back, but will ask for a table with 2 chairs, rather than one chair and a booth seat."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "One of the only places in the area that's open late - get michelin-starred food until midnight! Great bar with classic cocktails, a popular spot for locals to belly up to the zinc counter."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "We ordered two of the specials, the salmon with Meyer lemon sauce and risotto and the sirloin steak with braised onions and fried broccoli. Both were really unbelievable. The real surprise was the sweetbreads, I was a little nervous about trying them, but they were delicious."
    Dined on 3/19/2014
  • "Great spot, but get a hostess with a personality or at least a smile."
    Dined on 3/18/2014
  • "We had high hopes, but the food was average at best. The service was great, but for the price, the food should be too. There are better options in Yountville."
    Dined on 3/18/2014
  • "This is my second time dining at Bouchon and my favourite restaurant whenever I am in the US. The noise level was very high, music too loud necessitating shouting to be heard at our table. The food was, as always, divine and flawless as was the wine. The service was excellent apart from the fact that the table was cleared far too quickly. We had not finished with the bread but it was whisked away before we could rescue it which leaves one to feel rushed to finish and leave so that the next diners could be seated. at the prices charged this policy is not a good one. They were very child friendly and the requested high chair was in place at our table. The Bouchon experience should be savoured and unhurried."
