A word from Bouchon - Santa Barbara
Fresh, local ingredients, prepared with care. Excellent wines that reflect the quality and character of our region and work in concert with the cuisine. Warm, inviting ambiance, service at a relaxed, leisurely pace.
Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. We then take into account how these flavors can be presented in concert with our local wines. I believe you’ll taste the difference and see how well they work together.
We believe Santa Barbara is producing some of the finest Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Other locally produced varietals will surprise you with their quality, variety and approachability. Please ask your server for recommendations on how any of our 40+ wines by the glass match up with your selections. Bon Appètit!

A Monday night dinner but the restaurant very well patronised. terrific service - efficient knowledgeable, especially re wines. Food excellent. I thought the Char Grilled Rack of Lamb a superb dish, cooked to perfection. My wife likewise thoroughly enjoyed the Wild Pacific Salmon.

We liked being able to order half glasses of wine at the same price point as a bottle. Food presentation was very nice. Service was decent. But, we did not like that substitutions were not allowed (we were "welcome to leave off" rather than substitute....really? at those prices, the chefs aren't able to flex in the least?), and did not like that our food was luke warm. We expected more from this restaurant for the price and reviews. We weren't wow'ed enough to return.

The only possible complaint was that the chicken was a bit dry and you'd expect it to be cooked perfectly for the caliber of restaurant. Otherwise the food was superb, the service was top notch, and the ambiance was very nice.

Upon arrival, our perfect table with rose petals and peduncle were in place with an eager, attentive staff awaiting me and my girlfriens's first visit to Bouchon. The service was prompt and systematically punctual, providing us with a symphony of servers, bussers, and sommelier staff cascading about us like some beautifully tuned clockwork. From the beginning bread basket to the final sips of white wine, each portion of this fantastically contrived cuisine was memorable, leaving a lasting impression upon our lips that won't soon fade. Firstly, wowed by the fabled four-onion French Soup, I then progressed to an even more noteworthy dish of roasted duck thigh and beast... Simply put....DELICIOUS! We will definitely be returning soon!

Open table made the reservation so easy. They even read my note about being our anniversary and put rose pedals on our table and gave us a smalle fruit desert that was the cherry on top. Originally thought it was expensive but what you get for the money is well worth it. The food is the highest quality and so is the staff. You get a lot of food compared to other high end restaurants that give you less for more money. Overall an amazing restaurant.

We enjoyed our first trip to Bouchon. It is a relatively small, comfortable restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. We had a delicious goat cheese tart with arugula to start followed by excellent duck and chicken which was a little dry. The chicken kept the rating at four stars. The wine list is extensive with strong emphasis on California Central Coast. They have a large selection of wines by the glass which you can taste before ordering. Service is excellent and the waiters are very accomodating regarding requests. This restaurant is worth a try.

We ordered wine by the glass and were impressed when the waiter brought out the bottles and poured our wine directly from the bottle into our glasses. It demonstrated that we were (probably) getting the specific wines we ordered. Many European restaurants do this, but few American ones do, unless you're sitting at the bar and watching the bartender pour it in front of you.

We brought our adult family of seven for a post-wedding dinner. We were seated immediately even though we were a little early. From the moment we were seated we received excellent service including excellent wine advice. The food was excellent. Try the mushroom appetizer, it is fantastic. We had a wide variety of dishes, and all were pleased with their choices. I'm close to giving this five stars, but I set the bar pretty high for that rating. This place is close. I highly recommend Bouchon and would never hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Food, ambience and service were all top notch. Our entrees included tuna, salmon, lamb and chicken, and everyone said their food was exceptional. No kids' menu, but they told us they typically made pasta with butter and parmesan for kids, and they could supplement this with virtually anything else in the kitchen. My 6-year-old asked for chicken with the pasta. She liked, devoured the pasta and ate a few bites of the chicken. Only surprise was when they charged us $25 for the kids' meal (which was about the same price as my salmon entree with sides).

Wow, this place is fantastic. Very warm and inviting, service was wonderful, but most important the food was awesome. I ordered the lamb with pea purée and pea risotto. Let's just say there was nothing left on my plate, and nothing left on the bone of the lamb but bone. If you're going to try this place out, make reservations as it fills up quickly. Well worth planning ahead. =) Oh, the whole table agreed that the crab cakes were the best crab cakes we've ever had anywhere so far.

The food all looked great and was made to perfection. There was nothing that stood out as something I'd *have* to order again, though. What was mind blowing was the great service. We were not satisfied with how well our lamb chops were cooked so they had no problem taking it back and making sure we had the wine to go with what we reordered. They are Pros. A great place where you know you're getting a good meal.

No relation to it's well-known namesakes, Bouchon SB has an fantastic menu and wine list. A true farm-to-table experience from local seafood, meat purveyors, growers, vintners. Everything we ordered was full of seasonal flavor: heirloom tomatoes, local scallops done three ways, incredible local white sea bass, lamb chops, flat iron steak, all accompanied with the most delicious vegetables. It was one of the best experiences we've had in SB. The food could not have been more thoughtfully conceived and beautifully prepared with flavor and freshness in mind. The service was phenomenal: so warm, welcoming, truly helpful and generous in spirit. What an amazing place from chef, wait staff, hostess (which reflects a wise owner!) We will be back!

The food was very good....I had a special salad with goat cheese and fresh figs followed by a mushroom ragout, both creative and delicious. My husband had the fresh sea bass and thought it was perfect! We enjoyed some Qupe chardonnay, which was an excellent choice! Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. He brought a charming small plate as a treat for our anniversary. We will definitely return!

Celebrated our anniversary at this charming spot for the second year in a row. The service is impeccable—friendly and helpful without being overbearing in the slightest. The menu is always interesting and the dishes are impeccably prepared. I'm not enough of a foodie to break down each dish individually, but we enjoyed every bite and found the experience to be extraordinary in every way. They have an excellent selection of Central Coast wines and a separate list for out of region, state and country selections. Our waiter's recommendations proved to be right on point. Highly recommended for a romantic night out or just a great French-influenced meal.

Recommended by a friend and read reviews before going, all excellent, so had high expectations. It was a truly excellent evening. Crab cakes were exquisite and heirloom salad just right. Yellow tail salmon and sea bass mains were both tasty and interesting. Local Pinot Noir is a new favorite although waiter tried too hard to sell us up to expensive bottles of wine. We mentioned we were celebrating our engagement and the waiter went out of his way to take us to a gorgeous painting for the perfect picture. Ambiance is just right, fun, beautiful but not pretentious. A first rate, top tier, highly enjoyable dinner.

Food was very good and the menu has enough variety yet does not overwhelm you. Wine list has very good options at differenct price levels. Unfortunately when I got the check they added 20% Service Fee (which I have no issue with) but they did not mention it nor did they highlight it on the bill and left the tip section empty in the credit card slip. I almost ended up leaving a 40% tip but on second review I noticed the charge. I find that very rude and sneaky of them and left a bad taste in my mouth after an otherwise very good meal.

THE MAIN DINNIG ROOM LOOKED LOVELY AND VIBRANT. THE OVER FLOW DINNING ROOM WAS BORING, FLAT AND COLD. OUR DINNER ARRIVED AND IT WAS GOOD. WE ORDERED WINE WITH OUR DINNER. THE SERVER LOOKED FOR OUR WINE FOR SOME TIME, ONLY TO COME BACK AND ANNOUNCE IT WAS SOLD OUT. WE MADE ANOTHER SELECTION, WHICH WAS OUTSTANDING.
