Diner Reviews
  • "This was a late night find, just arrived the night before and looking for a restaurant that could accommodate. The front of house service was brilliant, friendly staff willing to please, waiting staff attentive but not intrusive. Food was lovely both in presentation and quality. Recommended."

  • "Always wonderful bistro food. The service still needs work."

  • "It was what our souls needed. Tomato salad was complex and satisfying. Brisket was tender and done to perfection, mashed potatoes heaven and bouchons were divine."

  • "We went with some friends who have never tried Bouchon Beverly Hills during the Dine LA week and was not as pleased as on our past experiences. The tasting menu offered a good range of selection from the main menu but the moules frites which has always been superb was a big disappointment, a bit dry and not fresh smelling. Service is prompt if not special"

  • "Bouchon is one of my favorite places to take someone for a special birthday lunch. While many sit outside, I love the large dining room upstairs. The food and service is always memorable."
    Dined on 7/25/2014
  • "We went early so we had a chance to visit and hear each other without shouting. By the time we left, the noise was deafening. French bistros are not terribly noise-filled, why can't this be? Food always good. Service excellent. Onion soup always fabulous."

  • "Montage hotel in Beverly Hills was beautiful. the courtyard was fabulous. 5 star The ambiance was excellent. little bit of noisy. 4 star. Food was small portions. fine not suprise. 3 star Service was nice 4 star. Totally I give 4 stars"

  • "Came to bouchon for the first time and decided to take part of their dinela menu. Salad was bland with some chewy croutons thrown in them. Swordfish was dry and the stew tasted like canned tomatoes. Best part about my meal was the dessert, bread, and water. Can honestly say it wash't worth the $45.00 dollars and I will for sure never be returning to bouchon."

  • "Bouchon never let's you done on the food or service. The dining room is beautiful and has a refreshing and energetic air. The servers and hostesses are always helpful and courteous. The kale salad was bright and flavorful. The mussels (always a favorite) were wonderful. Had the apricot almond tart ... the desserts are divine."

  • "I'd heard about Bouchon but never had the chance to go until now. Everything we ordered: pate, tomato salad, trout (this was AMAZING!) and chicken. Next time, I will skip the chicken and order the steak frites. Overall, this place was great!"

  • "I am a regular patron of the BH restaurant and I'm always pleased with the ambience, food and beverage selection and the people who work at this location. However, lately, service has been very slow. My last visit, I hosted a lunch where one of my guests ordered steak and pomme frittes and his bearnaise sauce did not show up for almost 15 mins after he was served. At one lunch, it took approximately 10 minutes after ordering a beverage to be received. This is a great restaurant with alot of patrons, so perhaps more staff and attention to busy service times would be something to address."

  • "I have been to Bouchon for brunch, dinner and drinks; special occasions and simple fests; with a couple of friends or large groups. The restaurant has never disappointed with its food or service. Last night we went for Dine LA and although many restaurants try to hide the fact there is a discounted menu, Bouchon handed us the menu immediately and had it proudly chalked on boards around the room. We had a great evening and a great meal."

  • "Lovely environment indoors and out, with a view of the courtyard from the 2nd floor. Host and waiters are friendly and attentive. The food is great, but just shy of what it could be for the price."

  • "It was a good lunch experience but the only thing is that I had asked for a bigger table in advance and they always cramp us into a small table. The food was delicious but the service was a little slower than normal this time around. It's definitely a nice restaurant to enjoy."

  • "This restaurant is quite overrated. Most of the food was good, not great, but the 9 oz. rib-eye for $62 was a joke -- dry, lacking in flavor, and ridiculously small for that price. You can do MUCH better."
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "The menu was wonderful and well balanced. Food came out perfectly and in a timely manner. Even though my party and I were not a part of the usual crowd and were there for restaurant week, the service did not feel any different for us. The experience was excellent."

  • "Loved this bistro. About as close to Paris as one can find in Los Angeles. We had it all .. Mussels, steak frites, pasta and desert. A little pricey but well worth a real treat."

  • "Our fifth or sixth time at Bouchon. The food is uniformly fine (duck confit with violet mustard, salmon cooked to melting perfection (though a tiny piece), perfect French fries, bouchons with peanut butter ice cream, cold green pea soup, mussels, strawberries in custard). Problem was 30-minute wait between appetizer and main course--much too long, the place was only 3/4 filled at the time. We have had this problem there before."

  • "Took my 9 year old here for Dine LA and she liked the selection to chose from the Dine LA list. Fair pricing and enjoyable meal."
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "Ate off the DineLA Lunch menu. Some hits, some misses, but the atmosphere is low-key, quite lively, and fun! Nothing pretentious. Bonus: saw a celebrity at the next table over which was exciting."

  • "Aside from the sup-par service it was an amazing experience. My husband & I made reservations for my birthday which coincidentally coincided with Dine LA. The waiter spent all of his time & attention catering to the party of three next to us who enjoyed quit the order of the menu & wine list. Many patrons such as myself opted for the pre-fixed Dine LA menu & the waiter was short & abrupt with us the entire evening. Even when ordering items in French (which I speak) he would respond with "what, huh" leaving me the option of plainly pointing to said item, which murdered the romance & dimmed my experience somewhat. I would make sure to ask for a kind, courteous waiter when returning & not the pompous, fake, discourteous man who waited on us."

  • "Dined here with a friend for dineLA and really enjoyed their menu. I had the tomato salad, the Beef brisket, and the Valhrona brownies. My friend had the tomato salad as well, the swordfish, and the strawberries. All of the dishes were beautifully prepared and very good. The "El Rey" cocktail off of the dineLA menu was also pretty tasty - had a great spicy kick from the ancho chile with a definite aftertaste of apple. The restaurant was busy, but not too loud, and the service was great - very friendly, attentive, and quick with suggestions. Good restaurant for a special occasion because you have to be ready to drop some $$$ on your meal."

  • "Bouchon is a great restaurant with wonderful service and amazing food. Definitely recommend the Steak Frites, and Oysters that are always fresh. Fair price for excellent food!"

  • "Went to Bouchon for DineLA. I had the arugala/frisée salad, rigatoni pesto, and apricot dessert. All the food was creatively prepared. The waiter was helpful and efficient and the ambience charming."

  • "The service was outstanding. Décor was nice as usual. I was not impress with the food at all. I've been to Bouchon Las Vegas and food was better over there."

  • "Very disappointing experience at such a renowned restaurant. Food lacked luster. Having eaten in many French restaurants I was very surprised at the "blahness" of the food. I wanted to have a "wow" mement but it didn't happen. The setting is beautiful though, and I did enjoy the bread."

  • "Food was ok but not comparable to Bouchon in Napa and Vegas. Attendance from service was slow."

  • "My girlfriends and I celebrated my new job with a DineLA experience at Bouchon. Everything was beyond our expectations, starting with a complimentary round of champagne to make up for hassling with the nearby parking lot (in the future, I will definitely valet instead). The outdoor patio is charming, the service was superb, and all of our dishes were delish. I would highly recommend Bouchon to friends and family and will be coming back soon."

  • "Restaurant week caused a few problems including a 35 minute wait with a reservation, 20 minutes to great water refiled as well as pouring my own wine. Dishes were not cleared quickly either. Of course, the room is beautiful. Moules and sausage were excellent as was the kale salad. My friend said the pea soup was too bland/tasteless. His chocolate desert was very good as was my great cheese plate. Our waiter, Michael, was charming."

  • "The food here is very good but definitely expensive --- my bill was $160 for 5 people to have lunch. The Parking is not convenient especially if you are on a timeline. It was a good spot for a meeting but the noise level was a bit loud."
    Dined on 7/16/2014
  • "Great food, great service at this French styled bistro. Unfortunately, there is almost zero sound attenuation and it gets very noisy when it fills-up, making it unsuitable for a business lunch or even comfortable conversation."

  • "Great atmosphere, good food, good food combinations for the Dine LA menu. Allowed us to enjoy Bouchon for the first time for a good deal."

  • "Must have stumbled one the right combination of menu items for the moment because everything was excellent. Food is always very good here, but the heirloom tomato salad and swordfish were truly outstanding. And the Peach Melba or whatever that peach dessert was called was also quite exceptional. Still a terrific place to dine with great service aas well."

  • "Bouchon consistently delivers a wonderful dining experience. Superb cuisine, excellent professional wait staff and a true French bistro dining environment. The oysters are the best in LA."

  • "Sunday brunch at Bouchon Beverly Hills Bistro was adequate. The food was good, the service was good, the noise level was excessive, the prices were too high, and the value too low. In summary, too noisy, a little overpriced and a little undervalued."
