BoucheGreat French cafe, with authenticGreat French cafe, with authentic food and ambiance. I'll definitely be back on every visit to SF.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect changeOn my quest to eat more french food i was incredibly pleased by the different vibe this place offers. The dishes are far from being cookie cutter versions of the dishes served in other french restaurants in the area, and while the menu is quite limited, the quality, presentation, and wine selection make for an excellent combination. i most certainly will be back. the food is inventive, creative, and most notable.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing and cozy French RestaurantWOW WOW WOW~ As if the gorgeous ambiance and handsome Frenchmen weren't enough to lure you in to this cozy French restaurant the food sure is! Apparently Bouche has a new Chef in the house and believe me the menu is amazing!
I believe they change the menu frequently but I'm sure some of the new stuff will be staying on the menu. Yeah, it was that good. I will definitely be back....again and again.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMSmall but fine!A superb dining experience. Our waiter patiently explained the French wine list and made his recommendation, which was great. The Chorizo/Pistachio Encrusted Halibut over Spring Vegetables was a fine example of presentation and a unique blend of tastes. Finished off with dessert--Goat Cheesecake and Beet Ice Cream. If it is still on the menu--don't miss it--even if you think you don't like beets!4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful, different menuVery pleased with our Dinner at Bouche. Restaurant is very French cafe-ish. Waiter was very helpful and attentive. We sat upstairs, tight space but noise level was moderate.
When we left at 745pm, the bar downstairs was very crowded and very noisy. I would suggest eating upstairs.
We loved the duck confit Croquant appetizer, salmon and sausage, and wild boar civet...also enjoyed the goat cheese cake with beet ice cream--innovative menu. Dinner with wine for 3 people was $57 a person without tip. A little pricey but well worth the price for wonderful French food.
Stockton garage is 1/2 block away so you don't need to look for parking.
We will be back!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBon Chance!!What a great find (and next to the Tunnel Top bar, no less)! This is a french restaurant, run by french people, cooking a small menu of traditional-with-a-twist french food. We started with the arugula, leek, and spring garlic salad, accompanied by a poached egg infused with a vinaigrette...astonishing. Also, the spring garlic soup was great, although it was a heavy cream soup, and not advertised as such. Then a wondrous plate of wild boar and vegetables, cooked and stewed and roasted in different ways. A superb, and not over-the-top wine recommendation by the cute waiter. And voila...what could be better. Viva la Bouche!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was wonderful andThe food was wonderful and innovative, but the noise level was extremer mostly due to the other dines who were all talking very loudly. Tables are very close.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing french fare with hotAmazing french fare with hot french waiters. Very cool upstairs dining room. Small and intimate.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Mighty BoucheTiny little place just off the main gate to china town. Excellent service and food, just like being in mini European bubble. Fairly expensive but worth it for the quality of food, only 4 main dishes to choose from which was a refreshing change given some of the huge menus you can get. Well worth a visit if you're staying close by.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways fantastic. The foodAlways fantastic. The food is always gorgeous and tasty. The dimly lit dining area is romantic.3/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
