The Chef welcomes you into his richly authentic French bistro. The menu offers you the staples of that cuisine, but beautifully executed. Seating is tight, but it helps with the genial buzz. Prices are high for bistro food, but the quality is good and the wine selection manageable.

So underwhelmed. Too many tables in a very small space. My boyfriend and I went for dinner and felt like we were dining with the couples on either side of us. Had I not dodged a left elbow, I would have ended up with a black eye when the man at the next table took off his coat. The waitress appeared annoyed with my questions about menu items. The Duck Confit was over-cooked and dry. The French Onion soup was bland. The Caesar salad was tasty, but drenched in too much dressing. We also observed that the table next to us sent back their Fois Gras because it was cold in the center. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My wife and I have been coming here regularly since Bouche took over Aqua Santa's old spot. It has become our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. They combine excellent food and a great wine list with a nice atmosphere and welcoming service. The menu has many standards and the specials are always excellent. The staff remembered us after only a few visits and are always efficient and warm.

This was our first visit to Bouche and it was memorable. We were early (first patrons for the evening) and they were happy to seat us. While the space is not large, it is pleasantly intimate. The service was outstanding. Attentive without being intrusive. The complimentary bread and butter was fantastic. I asked where they got their bread and they make it in-house. Superb! Our escargot and onion soup were quite good and my steak au poivre was delicious. Another surprise was the caramelized brussel sprouts. Delicious! My wife had the butternut squash ravioli and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The Parisian ham cut the sweet so nicely. We then enjoyed the profiteroles an the apple tart. A wonderful experience we will repeat!

Went to Bouche Bistro to celebrate my birthday while visiting SF for the weekend. The restaurant is cozy with open kitchen (loved it!). Our waitress was friendly but not overly attentive. We were in no rush so this was not an issue. Everything we tried was amazing. First course: mussels - the appetizer portion is perfect to share, and you will not want to miss out on dipping the delicious bread in the broth. Second course: pumpkin ravioli for husband, crispy duck for me - both were outstanding. We had ordered a bottle of white at the beginning of the meal and our waitress thoughtfully (and un-prompted) brought us a taste of red that paired beautifully with the duck. Dessert: the profiterole - you cannot go wrong.

We had only 1 night to "go out" on this visit to Santa Fe and chose Bouche Bistro again - out of many, many choices. Needed to wait for table 5 minutes because we had requested a specific table. We did not mind at all. Host presented us with a glass of Champagne while we waited. The overall noise of the restaurant was moderate until a 6-top was seated next us, and as usually happens their voice volume increased as they drank the excellent wine served here. So it got a little noisy, but that happens in popular places when people are having a good time.

We really enjoyed the small plate options on the menu. The seafood platter was wonderful, the sweet breads where prepared perfectly, I high recommend the mussels, the sauce was so flavorful with a hint of red chile. The dining room is cozy and inviting, and the service was excellent. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Disappointed of: 1. Sweetbread was DEEP FRIED this time. Why? To save time??? The check was also incorrect by charging MORE for a dish than was on the menu, which I told the head waiter, ( he was I think the manager in charge ) he did remove that item from my bill. At checkout, the manager in charge came with an iPad and said push here for Waiters tip: The choice of percentage started at 18 PERCENT, which is usually for parties of 6 or more. ( We were two in the party ) Also, he would send the receipt via e mail, stupid I think! I don't know if I had to pay 18 percent also on the SALES TAX, which was close to $ 15.00. TOTAL BILL WAS $ 200.00 PLUS.

Despite having visited restaurants in Santa Fe many times, Bouche Bistro had always slipped under the radar. Never again! This is a wonderful little restaurant with the relaxed romantic French atmosphere that reminded me of Boucheron or Bistro Jeantry in Napa. Excellent dishes: the Mediterranean Sea Bass is exceptional, as is the grilled Octopus appetizer. Service was first class and the wine list a good mixture of French and American wines at a reasonable spread of prices. Well worth a visit!

We are from a great foodie town Boulder, Co. We are hard to impress as we have some of the best restaurants and now we have Bouche Bistro to add to the list. The food was fabulous and varied. My husband loved the sweetbreads and I had the shortrib which was highly recommended and lived up to that. Loved meeting the chef and owner. Very classy. At least our 7 hour drive was easier than flying to France as we felt had done at Bouche!

Bouche Bistro is a very traditional French bistro in that the food is casual French, the atmosphere is loud, and the service attentive. The chef is a friendly fellow as he is engaged everywhere in the restaurant. To the meat of the matter...the food is very good, service is very good. Only drawback is the tables on virtually on top of each other. Prices are fair for the quality of the food, but for the price, I prefer to wine and dine my wife with a bit more privacy.

Menu is very nice. French onion soup outstanding, frogs legs were good and duck was also nice. Mussels were fishy tasting so were disappointing. Service was very good, attentive and accommodating. Owner was delightful, made the rounds and greeted diners. This was our first time so we will definitely try it again with different menu items. Bread was fresh and tasty. Atmosphere is cosy and comfortable.

Bouche served the best soup I have had in a long time (and I am lucky in that I dine with friends at places like: The French Laundry, Per Se, Daniel, Bouley, etc fairly regularly). The pea emulsion ravioli was divine. The desserts were wonderful -- the bread pudding was too much bread and not enough cherry and chocolate. The service was very professional -- not exactly warm -- but very good.

We ate at Bouche just after it opened, and it was a memorable meal. That was 1-2 years ago. We were disappointed this time. My steak au poivre was undercooked and gristly, and not particularly peppery. It didn't seem to be cooked in the usual way. Two orders of halibut were differently cooked .. one undercooked and one perfect.

The Chef always visits the table to say hi and make sure your meal was good. Highly recommeded are the Sweetbreads and the Halibut. Profiteroles and unique cream brulee for dessert. Chef Charles has really given Santa Fe a special treat with Bouche. I ate their with a friend visiting from out of town & had such an amazing meal we just had to go back the next night! Food & service were top notch. We had the best Caesar of both of our lives, the mussels were delicious and perfectly cooked. The escargot were better than I've had in France. One could get carried away with the carefully prepared and very tasty appertizers. However, make sure you leave room for the stupendous sweetbreads, the cooked-to-perfection swordfish, the outstanding poulet paillard, or the steak with peppercorn sauce. Here's a hint of how good Bouche can be: most restaurant make a mockery of "French" fries. At Bouche, you can have them landing on your table plain or infused with the heady aroma of truffles. Not to be missed: bread pudding. Speaking of bread, your first taste at Bouche will be a fine morsel of home-baked deliciousness, topped with sweet butter. You will be trasnsported. Can't wait for the fall menu - duck, hopefully some choucroute, and other surprises. On the pricey side, but worth it.

The service was sensitive, the ambiance great. However, except for the salad course, each presentation mixed an excellent idea with something slightly amiss--eg, an ingredient a bit overcooked, an unneeded addition, etc. For example, my sweetbeads on a bed of mushrooms were deep fried, dry, and tasteless though the rest of the dish was perfect; my creme brule had so thick a sugar (unbruled) crust you could not taste the custard, etc. My wife's meal had similar defects. Given the cost and reputation of Bouche the meal was a minor disappointment.
