"My husband and I were in Newport for just one night and read wonderful reviews about Bouchard Restaurant. We booked our table through Open Table and our reservation was all set. We were promptly seated and enjoyed a very romantic evening. The food and accompanying wine were just amazing. Everything was so delicious. We ended the evening by sharing the Grand Marnier souffle which just melted in our mouths. Our bed and breakfast was within walking distance which made the location very convenient."

"Bouchard truly is an Outstanding restaurant. From the moment we were warmly greeted until we left more than 2 1/2 hours later, the evening was perfect. Our waiter, Dan, was extraordinarily knowledgeable about both the food and wine menus and an extremely personable guy as well. He suggested we start with French Martinis which he then made; they were delicious. It was hard to choose only 2 appetizers and 2 entrees from the uniformly amazing-sounding menu but we went with the asparagus & lobster in puff pastry and foie gras for appetizers, and the restuffed lobster and duck breast for entrees - all recommended by Dan and ALL FABULOUS! The grand marnier souffle for dessert was excellent. I'd return to Newport just to go back to Bouchard."

"We had Easter dinner at Bouchard's and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Service is impeccable. The food was exquisite with a definite French flair. Wine list is good with reasonably priced excellent wines. I had a wonderful leg of lamb entree which was perfect. All of our party of 4 raved about their meals. All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience. Parking is tough...get there early to find a good parking space. Although we have been lucky with an early reservation (5:30pm) to be able to park in one of the several spaces next to the restaurant. There is no bar at which to get a drink (although bar service at your table is excellent) in the small restaurant, but there is an Irish Pub next door for a pre-reservation drink."

"Bouchard had top reviews so we had high expectations...they were met and then some. The food may be described as French classic, but it's innovative as well. The service was exceptional. We will return."
