It turned out to be a fortuitious surprise. We snagged a table in the back garden; looking out abouve the fence you see nothing but trees, near and far. It seemed impossible that we were on 10th Ave in Manhattan! And while the menu at first glance appeared to be not very out of the ordinary, each dish we had was superior to what was expected. I particular, we liked the "tempura" of veggies and sea food, the lasagna and the spinach ravioli. The bittersweet chocolate pudding was outstanding. My husband felt that he didn't have a lot to choose from on the menu but everyone else really loved their meal. Our male waiter was a bit off hand & gave the impression that he really didn't want to be there but this won't stop us from going back. Our winsome waiter made wonderful suggestions as he had a very good knowledge of the menu and wines. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service very attentive. We started with a pear salad and a tuna tartare, followed by the filet mignon. The food was delicious.
