A word from Botticelli's
Botticelli’s South Congress is a fun and tasty Italian restaurant located in the heart of the exciting "SOCO" district. Botticelli's serves fresh and delicious Italian food combining old family recipes with new, inventive ones. Andrew and Matt Botticelli are the proud owners and are made even more proud by the food that Botticelli's delivers through its amazing staff. There are both an intimate dining room up front and a large beautiful beer garden out back, where there is live music Thursday through Saturday night. Full menu is available inside or out and at either bar. Look forward to seeing you soon.Continued

  • "I gave been to B's a couple of times and find it to be an easy place to hang out and have great food and conversation. It seems to be comfortable in its own skin and is not trying to be hip or fancy or anything other than itself. I recommend it for any occasion. "

  • "While there are lots of dining options on S. Congress, very few take reservations. It was great to know we had a definite dining time on a Saturday night -- and we had a very nice time. My polenta and shrimp appetizer was delicious!"

  • "Have eaten there several times consistently good food, drinks and service. If you go on a weekend allow time for parking S Congress can be crazy."

  • "We loved the food, wine, and ambiance of Botticelli's, but absolutely hated the location. SoCo on a Saturday night is not for the faint of heart. We had to make reservations for 6;30 as our babysitter couldn't come earlier. First, we had to park over a mile away and walk to the restaurant, which gave me a blister on my foot, by the way. Secondly, there was some event on SoCo that night, and the center turn lanes were all blocked off. Finally, we met my parents at the restaurant, and they got a ticket on their car, despite there being zero no parking signs or residential only signs. We still have no idea why they were ticketed. So although the food was delicious, we won't be back. It's way too much trouble!"

  • "Botticellis has become one of our favorite little Italian eatery's! Fun, great pastas, good wine, helpful staff etc."

  • "No one introduced themselves to me by name. No one explained food specials. No one attempted to sell any items, or tell me anything about the choice that I had made. If I wanted to know anything, I had to flag down just anyone running by. The restaurant had a party outside, so maybe they were distracted by that and not by their dining room. I don't know, getting help made me feel like I was ordering at a counter. I also felt very rushed. They did not suggest a dessert, which I would have liked. They did not even attempt to drop off a dessert menu. This was disappointing. I felt that they just wanted to turn over the table as quickly as possible."

  • "We had a great HH there but need to come back and check out the lasagna of the day (it had meat on Friday during lent so had to pass) and the beer garden. Great neighborhood joint."

  • "I've been to Botticelli's several times before so I knew I'd get a wonderful meal. But this last time was exceptionally good. Wonderful food and wine. Service was also very good."

  • "I went to Botticelli's for the first time with one of my friends for Happy Hour. We sat outside in the beer garden and it was perfect. From a fancy date night indoors to a casual, fun happy hour outdoors; you can't go wrong here. I understand that there is live music in the beer garden but we hear anything when we were there. The Happy Hour menu is good, both food and beverage. I will definitely be coming here again!"

  • "This place has the best menu! The service was so sweet and we got sat right away on a Friday night (with reservation)."

  • "We were there at 5:30pm on a Saturday so we didn't experience all that this restaurant has to offer...live music, bar scene, etc.. We enjoyed what we ate and our waitress was wonderfully attentive."

  • "I'm hard to please when it comes to Italian food (it comes with being a lifelong NYer transplanted to Texas). But Botticelli's is the real deal. Food is fresh and delicious, service friendly and pleasant, prices very reasonable. Big fan."

  • "While So Congress has it's large share of restaurant newbies coming up all the time, going back to Botticelli's after a hiatus of about 6 months reminded why it is still on top of my list of restaurants to recommend in Austin. The entrees, Lasagna to the Halibut special for evening were absolutely solid. My guests were smiling and clicking shots of their dish. Honestly, it's the best modern Italian restaurant around. BTW the desserts were outstanding too, especially the panna cota. And the backyard - still a wow with live music under ambiance of gorgeous oak branches. B's has the feel of what Austin restaurants are known for; great food, great atmosphere and a great location. Visit Tim and the gang often, it's still a winner."

  • "It has been my opinion for a number of years that Botticelli's consistently serves the best Italian food in town, and for a very reasonable price. The lasagna of the day is always an amazing combination of meats and veggies, and there's also a wide variety of pasta and protein-based main courses -- something rich for everyone. Got a great wine recommendation from our waitress and the manager was nice enough to throw in a free dessert, as we were celebrating a birthday this time around. Walked away thoroughly satisfied, per usual."

  • "Botticelli's is a small local restaurant on South Congress. The dining room is tiny. There is outdoor dining and bar with live music in the back. It is an odd combination but it's Austin. The food is simply outstanding. Try the lasagna as the pasta is made fresh daily."

  • "This small Italian restaurant is hidden on South Congress next to the Continental Club. Dine at Boticellis and then go next door for Luce music and dancing. Boticellis has a patio bar and Luce music as well. Eat either or both of Butternut Squash Ravioli and Lasagna. Service was impeccable on a very busy night."

  • "Took GF here for birthday and left with fiance'! I already made reservations requesting a special table. I called ahead that day at 3 pm (7 pm reservations) to tell them of my proposal plans & request a dessert with special writing. They couldn't create a special cake same-day, but were able to make dessert with special writing on the plate for my surprise. They have a pastry chef on duty & if you give them several days' notice they would be able to do a special dessert. The surprise went off without a hitch, the entire staff was in on it & my GF was 100% surprised when her "birthday dessert" w/candle came with "WYMM?" written on the plate. Great memory thanks to everyone there! Great food & service too."

  • "This is a hidden gem for sure! The food was delicious and the presentation great! I had the beet salad that was beautiful & delicious, as was my entre! The place is intimate and cozy. Make reservations unless you arrive very early. The price of our meals seemed very reasonable for such great presentation & care, with fresh ingredients! I would go back again & again!"

  • "Botticelli's is a great little Italian food place. The drinks and food were delicious! No doubt, one of the best lasagnas I have ever had. I did not get to enjoy the patio because of the rain but it looked like a fun and vibrant area to enjoy live music!"

  • "We traveled to Austin from Houston for our daughter's birthday. We all stayed at the Austin Motel which is right across the street. Had our two granddaughter's with us also and they fixed them a pasta that wasn't on the menu and they loved it.They made the dinner a very special one for all."

  • "Great spot for happy hour on the patio with our dog. Yummy and substantial appetizer choices. And a bowl of cold water for the pooch courtesy of our thoughtful server. We were too early, but they do have live music (of course--this is Austin after all). Very enjoyable."

  • "Botticelli's does a great job with the ambience and the food. For a group that likes to share, we were able to find many wonderful dishes including salad and main dishes. The dewberry chicken on polenta was my favorite."

  • "Our first visit, it was a great dining experience. Their wine list is worthy, cocktails too. They went out of their way to accomodate my daughter's lactose allergy by making her a delicious gnocchi with pumpkin pesto. Yummy! The special of the day included a veggie lasagna which was delicious!! The portion was just right, with a mix of various vegetables including eggplant, zucchini topped with arugula accompanied by a light marinara sauce. The soup of the day was very tasty, as was the salad with butter lettuce and mushrooms with macadamia nuts. The almond tart for dessert was stellar according to my fellow guests, but I opted for their homemade gelato. Service was very attentive befitting this wonderful restaurant."

  • "Had a lovely dinner with a great waitress and staff our first time in Austin. Located on fun, funky South Congress right in the middle of things, the place offers wonderful, fresh creative Italian food with a medium sized , but excellent, menu and wine list. Best for parties of 4 or smaller and there is limited seating outside if you don't mind passers by very close. Out back is a "Beer garden" with live music that seemed to be filling up with trendy upscale young folks as we left. The food was great and the servers knowledgeable and fun. Probably not kid friendly but great for grownups ! Highly recommended and we ate all over Austin. Try it!"

  • "Botticelli's is the go-to place for fine dining, casual but, elegant ambience. We love their wine choices, delicious entrees, and great wait staff. It is a little gem to return to for consistency and a to enjoy their varied menu."

  • "it's the kind of place you wish you had found sooner. we loved every aspect of the place -- from the outside patio where we had a glass of wine and an appetizer to the simple yet cozy inside for dinner. the bartender let us sample wines until we found what we liked and a couple of regulars suggested a couple of the best appetizers on the HH menu (HH is all day sunday)....ummm you definitely should have the Botticelli bread. now inside for dinner. the food here in a word, 'Amazing'. i haven't been this excited to taste food from a kitchen in a long time (based solely on our app). we had their lasagne of the day and the lamb chops. we will definitely make this a regular place to dine. you know, so we can be sure to try everything they make."

  • "We went to Botticelli's for Valentine's Day, and it was packed! Usually, it's very quiet, but this time, the noise level was moderate. I've always found Botticelli's to be a cozy romantic spot with some amazing Italian food — the owner is very involved in his restaurant and is quick to greet everyone (we were greeted by him when we walked in the door!) Food is good Italian - it's a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for in ambience, service, and food. If they have a band outside, make sure to get an outside spot (also if it's a nice day)."

  • "We spent Valentines Day dinner at Botticellis and had a lovely evening. Our reservation was ready at our desired time. The service was prompt, accurate, and pleasant. I definitely got the sense the employees cared about what they were doing. The back patio seating was really cute and the live music was a nice touch, but were seated in the interior room which was fine. Romantic atmosphere and very cozy. The selection of food and drink was great. So many items looked really good that it was really hard to choose! My husband chose the duck and fig dish and I had mushroom ravioli, both of which were really flavorful and finished up with the tiramisu. it's a great place for a date!"

  • "The service and atmosphere was nice. I have to say I was disappointed with the beef filet. It just wasn't cooked properly, one side had the beginnings of a nice crust but the other looked like it never hit the grill. My wife had the fish dish that was on special that evening, it was slightly undercooked. Meh. The Caesar salad was the best part of my meal."

  • "With all the great restaurants around town, Botticelli's makes it onto my rotation more than most. I like the more intimate atmosphere along with the solid service and reliably good food, and while at 8:00 on a Sunday night the place was packed, I didn't feel crowded, assaulted by noise, or like I was wrestling with a "scene." The kale salad was great (and I am not a health snob who automatically declares all things kale to be edible), and since the seafood specials were sold out I defaulted to the lasagna special - this time it included beef and pork with a slightly spicy tomato sauce and a not-too-heavy béchamel layer - and it was great as always.. I brought along some out of town foodie friends and they were very pleased."

  • "Made us wait almost 30 minutes and encouraged us to drink in bar. We were with two reformed alcoholics so that was not a viable option. They did give us an appetizer for free bit we didn't get out of there till almost 11pm. Not as expected"

  • "Horrible service... Salad delivered before appetizer. Food delivered before wine, then delivered wrong bottle of wine. Entree delivered without utensils. Not offered cracked pepper for salad. Plates cleared while still eating. Best service was from bread boy - he really did a good job."

  • "I had been to Boticelli's with the girls before for Happy Hour. Going on a Friday night for date night is a different beast. We are not part of the young hipster crowd, so loud crowded places are not our idea of a good time. However, the food and wine made up for the cramped and crowded table ( you feel like you have come to have dinner with more people than you walked in the door with). Good food and good cocktails and wine-will go back at a quieter time."
