Diner Reviews
  • "We had a reservation, which was honored but only after we had to wait an extra fifteen minutes. The host was overly facitious and the waiter gave us the impression that he had better things to do with his time. While the food was delicious, the service can't be ignored and I would never go back to this restaurant for that reason alone."

  • "Salmon, scallops & skate all very good. Server recommended app's that were all deep fried which was too much. Dessert's were excellent especially the Key Lime Pie. Overall experience was good but felt a bit rushed by server."

  • "It was my first time at Bosley on Brady and I loved it. I had the Portuguese fish soup it was amazing took me back to my childhood in Puerto Rico. For my entree I had the Jerk Salmon special of the day with coconut jazmin rice delicious !!!!!!! To end the night we shared Key lime pie also delicious."

  • "Bosley's was recommended to me by several people, but this was my first time dining. It was a wonderful experience. Sorry it took me too long to get here."

  • "Consistency is everything! And Bosley absolutely has this important factor covered. The lamb chop appetizers are really special. The cherry glaze was just enough to help compliment the perfectly seasoned meat. For dinner, I had the seafood symphony-a plate full of goodness. All four of us enjoyed something different and no one went home disappointed. As always, the champagne lemon drop was the most delicious libation that paired pefectly with each of my dining selections from the beginning to the end! Service was tops!!"

  • "We really enjoyed the appetizers. Mussels, coconut shrimp and black & blue tuna. My party guests said that the scallops were excellent, along with the chicken piccata. The steak was just that, nothing special. I was disappointed with the waiter though, who definitely treated the men in our party as the first ones to please, from pouring the wine to combining the leftovers. I mentioned this to the hostess on the way out (most male chauvinist restaurant I have been to) and she was very concerned. One other thing, when we arrived, the bar area was so full, they recommended that we go to a bar down the street for a before dinner drink. That's never happened before - turning away business!"

  • "Second time eating at Bosley's in 2 weeks. Enjoyed it the first time so we took another couple there and had both outstanding service and food once again. Had a chance to meet the Michelle (the Owner). We'll go back again when the weather finally breaks and we can sit outside. Jim"

  • "Food was very good, atmosphere was noisy but tolerable, lack of parking a negative. Service was above average?"

  • "We ate at Bosley for a birthday dinner and my family all had seafood entrees and could not stop talking about how delicious the food was. I ordered a filet and it was also delicious. The staff were all very welcoming and our waitress could not have been better. We will definitely be back and I cannot wait to try the happy hour!"

  • "REcently my wife found out about this spot and decided to inveite another couple for a dinner outing. It turned out to be one of the best experiences we've had in a long time. The staff was professional and couteous but super warm and friendly like we were family:) The food was outstanding and the overall ambience was quiet and enjoyable. Thanks for a great experience and we'll certainly be back soon."

  • "We had an early dinner before the theater Feb. 8, for a group of six. (Love the round tables!) Service was prompt, friendly and very accommodating. And the food was excellent! Especially, the southern style grits! Not quite as good as SNOB in Charleston, SC, but well worth ordering! And those amazing salads--another highlight! We left wondering why it has taken so long for us to get there! (Well, we do live in Oconomowoc, so it's a drive, but well worth it!) Can't wait to go back and try more of the tempting menu selections!"

  • "Went to Bosley on a Friday night for dinner with a friend and ordered a bottle of wine, mussels and the scallops. The bill was a little pricey, but the food, service and decor/ambiance was absolutely worth it. Such a cute restaurant, food was just delicious and our waiter was attentive without being annoying. I would go again 10 times out of 10."

  • "We were seated 10-15 minutes after our reservation. We had wine at the bar. When we sat at our table, we were served our next wine in smaller glasses, as was one of our party who was served a smaller cocktail. Not sure why the drink was scaled down. Paid the same.We requested online a round table and waited at the bar 40 minutes for it. It is now square, two seats were against the wall on a padded cushion, and two were facing the wall. Not as comfortable or as spacious. Ordered blue cheese stuffed filet. Half was eaten before the cheese was seen. One person did not receive what he had ordered, getting scallops instead of veal scallopini. Salmon was terrific. Food was good. But the experience was not what it's been."

  • "I wanted to return to Bosley because I knew they have great food. They did not disappoint. We order the special Filet with Bleu Cheese. It was cooked to perfection. The Key Lime Pie was excellent. The staff was energetic and kind. It's a bit pricey for my budget so I only go for special occasions and it was quite special indeed."

  • "We eat at Bosley a few times a year and consistently have a great experience. What I like about Bosley is that they have specials that change regularly and the service is really fantastic. I'm vegan and I always enjoy putting together a mix of their vegetable sides as my meal. The chef is always very kind to make other sides available to me which are part of the seasonal/weekly menu. When I was there last, the amuse-bouche was not vegan (understandably), but the waiter thought to bring a little vegan treat for me while my finace enjoyed his amuse-bouche. Very thoughtful and kind. The cocktail and wine menus are lovely as is the ambiance. While there is a solid hum of conversation when it is busy, the lighting is soft and romantic"

  • "We had a great dinner and ordered off of the specials' list except for the salads. We had an excellent meal with very good service. Our waiter was balancing three tables that all sat at the same time and did very well with the juggling. Everything on the menu looked appealing and we were pleased with our choices. The wine list looked spectacular, but we stayed with the house concoctions we grabbed at the bar before being seated. The decor looks like someone vomited every trendy restaurant theme: from the leopard print table cloths to the vintage screen doors, I had no idea what the decorator was going for!"

  • "Bosley's is always a reliable choice for a fun night out with good food and friends. They were incredibly accommodating to our party, which changed from 6 to 8 at the last minute. The food is good, but I wish the owners would consider changing up the preparations now and then....with few specials (and one was sold out by the time we got there), it's a bit of the "same old same old". The food was very good, except that the grits that came with my shrimp were a bit undercooked from my point of view, and not flavorful enough to stand up to the simplicity of the shrimp. I found myself eyeing the food around me with envy, and wishing the special flounder had not been sold out. oh well...there's always next time."

  • "the menu is somewhat small but the options are all wonderful. my husband and i each had the soup to start. for dinner he had the seafood medley, i had the grouper. portions are what you'd expect for a higher quality dining establishment. we also ordered the dessert trio; came in shot glasses. acoustics are on the loud side. an item i'd like to note is this was my husband's birthday. i mentioned this when i made the res, the hostess wished him a happy birthday, (very sweet), but nothing else was done. not really a big deal but then i noticed a couple tables over, we saw a birthday being celebrated when a dessert (with a sparkler) was brought out. maybe this is only done for some parties and not all? otherwise, great birthday dinner."

  • "Searched Open Table for a restaurant to have dinner on a Saturday night, after an afternoon event. Never heard of this place, but after dining there we wondered if the neighborhood isn't keeping it to themselves. Original and fresh seafood preparations (we didn't have steak), extremely busy but it didn't affect the superb service and the clientele was a nice mix of ages. Cheerful place filled with bright, whimsical art work. The place just makes you feel good, and so does the food, Highly recommend Bosley on Brady!"

  • "Great food. Great service. Im more of a steak person but have only gotten fish/seafood from here and ive never been disappointed. Bartenders/staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of their drinks & menu. I would only go if you have a reservation on the weekends as they are pretty full throughout the evening which brings me to the only con of bosleys...it is a smaller place which makes it loud when its busy and overall harder to hear your partner or group when trying to have a comversation. Still very enjoyable nonetheless. Best seafood in town with quality wine"

  • "Four of us were 10 minutes early for our reservation, and our table was ready. Great first impression, and our evening just got better from there. Levon was our server and he was impeccable. Sunny the hostess and the rest of the staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. The food.....oh my! Beautiful. Our party ordered salads, soup, steak, shrimp and grits, seafood medley, sampler dessert, cocktails, coffee, wine.....everything was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented. The noise level in the restaurant is pretty vibrant. We enjoyed the energy level, but some may prefer a quieter setting. If you are looking for an exceptional dining experience, you owe yourself a visit to Bosley. We will be back!"

  • "dinner was as expected....awesomeness! starting with their signature amuse-bouche, then yummy salad, and finally surf and turf special, we were not disappointed. service was attentive but not intrusive, festive NYE decorations throughout bar and restaurant. Comfortable and cozy way to ring in the new year! Thank you owner Michelle for a great year of food and wine!"

  • "Had a nice table for four. The place was festively decorated for the evening. Service was very good. All our meals were delicious (salmon, steak, seafood trio and snapper with lobster ravioli). We will definitely go back. We didn't feel rushed, even on New years eve. Great dinner."

  • "We've had nothing but positive experiences at Bosley. Servers are friendly, and there's good variety of entrees to select from. The seafood dishes are very well prepared, which is a plus. The owner, when she's there, makes a point of making the rounds in the dining room, which I appreciate. Surprisingly good wine list."

  • "We chose this restaurant because it was included in our City Tin - a $10 off coupon. We choose an early reservation around the holidays so it would be quiet and intimate. We order the Black and Blue Tuna appetizer, which was a perfectly seared and raw tuna with delicious sauces and nice crunchy wantons. We both chose fish for our entres: my husband had the blackened grouper which was nicely seasoned, not too spicy, and came with really nice salsa and potato pancake. I had the pistachio crusted trout which was simply the best trout I have ever had. It came with the best spaghetti squash I ever had. Although full, we decided to have the desert trio which had three fabulous samples from the menu which was well worth it!"

  • "The food is consistently AMAZING, with flavor combinations and textures to perfection. While this place is always bustling and noisy, the staff are diligent and service is impeccable. We live further out in the suburbs, and tend to choose Bosley on Brady for special occasions, however, this would easily be my neighborhood favorite, if we were on the East Side. Love, love, LOVE this place!"

  • "My father and I tried the resturant because we had a City tins discount. We were pleasantly suprised with the atmosphere and the friendly greeting we recieved. Our servers were very helpful pointing out different items on the menu and explaning the nightly specials. My father ordered the black and blue tuna and said it was excellent. We had the grouper and filet for main courses and they were both very very good. My father already wants to know when we are going back."

  • "From the wonderful wine selection suggested by our waiter to the corn chowder to the seafood symphony to the keylime pie our dinner experience was deliciously amplified with each course. I had bragged to my two guests about Bosleys and on one of the coldest nights of the year they came and at the end of their meals they both had developed very warm spots in their hearts (and stomachs) for Bosley's we will be retuning in the near future, they haven't had Skip's Hurricanes yet!LOL thank you Michelle and the Bosley staff for always promising much and delivering much much more! I only have one suggestion Creme Brûlée!!!"

  • "Bosley is our favorite restaurant, especially for special occasions, or when we need a good seafood fix. Also has a great happy hour with half price drinks and appetizers and sitting outside in summer on Brady St. is entertainment in itself."
