  • "Absolutely terrific. Everything we had, both food and drinks, was excellent."

  • "We came here to celebrate a friend's engagement. The server was great, food was great, and we did linger a long time and were not rushed out of our table. There is a certain spice we did not like, and they went above and beyond making sure that we enjoyed our dishes. I would highly recommend it."

  • "Food was great and service but much too noisie can hardly have a conversation so we would not recommend it if you want a quest intimate place to dine"

  • "Atmosphere was great. Great presentation and flavorful food. Staff was efficient and pleasant. Lobster and duck were superb. Pasta and passion fruit desert were not as impressive. Wine pairing was average. Had the more robust Pinot. Overall, a wonderful experience and enjoyed a fun and romantic evening. Thank you."

  • "Everything about Borough was fantastic. The menu is short, but has select gems on it. The meal was delicious, as was the service. Definitely a place to go!"

  • "The octupus and pork belly was amazing. The craft drinks in the Parlor are truly unique and delicious! We will definitely return!"

  • "My wife and I try to make it a practice to try a good food place every weekend and for some reason we hadn't yet tried Borough. Wow! have we been missing out. Super cool space, busy, but not crazy like Travail, and the service was outstanding. We had the Octopus, beets, Himachi, Fluke and Duck - all were amazing. I can't remember the last time I ordered duck, but the waiter talked me into it and I would order it again. We highly recommend."

  • "My wife and I visited Borough for the first time on our 'date night' and we were very pleased with all aspects of the night. Menu is a quite a bit outside our normal food zone but we enjoyed Hamachi, Chicken Fried Quail, Chorizo and Duck. Tables are quite close to each other so we felt a bit snuggled next to the tables on either side of us. Probably better to get a booth or 4-top as they are positioned for better conversation."

  • "Food was delicious and interesting. Dynamic wait staff."

  • "Our overall experience was good. We all thought the first and second course offerings were better than the main course."

  • "First time at the restaurant, great service and staff was very attentive to getting us out to the theater on time. Interesting presentations, good flavors, lobster dish was a disappointment."

  • "This was our first time at Burrough & I think we'd be willing to go back but would do our ordering a bit differently. We enjoyed the first courses very much but were disappointed in our 3rd/main course. Also we ordered the octopus based on the waiter's recommendation and were a bit disappointed - didn't think it was anything special."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "Very limited menu, but did find something we all liked. Nice presentation. Rowdy group of ladies in, so it was very noisy, and not too full really. Will try the lower level next time!"

  • "What a great dinning experience. Great food excellent customer service. Will highly recommend to friends and co workers Great time"

  • "Had a great dinner here during Restaurant Week. Nice selections for each course, and we enjoyed sharing everything. They offered wine pairings, always appreciated. Highly recommend trying their cocktails."

  • "An hour to get order of short ribs . People came to our table at least 3 times to apologies. One would think they would buy you a drink or comp a appetizer. But just kept saying how sorry they were. Will probably give in one more chance. Also seemed are server changed at least 3 times in the 2 hours we were there. Wasn't that busy for how bad service was."

  • "Hip warehouse atmosphere, innovative small plates (grilled chunky octopus, anyone?!) easily shared, lip-smacking cocktails, outstanding waitstaff...plus a classy lounge, Parlour, downstairs to enjoy before or after dining. What's not to love? Borough is our new fav (after 112 our forever #1)"

  • "Each time we eat at Borough it is amazing! We are vegetarians and they almost always have something in each section of the menu for us. When they don't, they have altered a dish for us. The food is fantastic and the service is great! During our last visit, I wanted a fun cocktail without alcohol (as I am pregnant) and the bartender made up a delicious drink immediately."

  • "Unless you are very budget conscious - you will not be disappointed. I would rank this above Butcher and the Boar and other like restaurants. The menu is separated by course, however you are able to choose one dish from each of the three or select one or more dishes from each. The portions are larger than small plates, but not what I would call big by any means. All the food was absolutely delicious and delivered perfectly on time. I would also recommend getting there 45 min early and trying a drink or two in the Parlour lounge downstairs. Very cool bar."

  • "Took advantage of the $30 three-course dinners and left satisfied. Solid place. Usually easy to find a metered parking spot along Washington. Really nice space inside. Good service."

  • "Cuisine was good but a bit precious. However the atmosphere was the real downside. It felt like going to a TGIFridays - decor is stripped down warehouse that was loud to the point of utter obnoxiousness (note this was on a Saturday night - it may be much quieter other days of the week). There were four of us together and it was so loud, we couldn't hear the person sitting diagonal from us. It felt out of sync with the cuisine and the kind of people who tend to be willing to pay (through the nose, I might add) for same. People who want to eat cuisine this fancy will go to La Belle Vie (for example) and get even better than this for the same money, but also get a much more reasonable environment in which to enjoy it - even on a Saturday."

  • "Simply outstanding, one of the best experiences I have had dining out. Wonderfully complex and balanced dishes that were full of unique and exciting flavors. The tartar and octopus were insanely good. Service as above par and the trip downstairs for an after dinner drink capped off an amazing time. Simply outstanding, one of the best experiences I have had dining out...Oh, I already said that..well it was that good."

  • "Everything was great! We started off with the octopus...always delicious. The duck and the chicken were cooked perfectly. Had a fantastic time with our very pleasant server. Will definitely be back!"

  • "This was the first time I had dined at this establishment but certainly not my last. The server Clare was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend the beef tartare which was one of the finest I have ever had. The octopus was also great as was the quail and short ribs. Unfortunately I didn't have dessert but I have no doubt it would have been excellent. A must for dining enthusiasts!"

  • "Had a great time at Borough for Restaurant Week! Very flexible with making a reservation and great food! One piece of feedback - the entrees were not equivalent in volume/heartyness - the fish-eaters at our table left hungry!"

  • "Some friends and I went to Borough during restaurant week in Minneapolis and it was great! We were seated promptly, and even had the larger high top table in the corner by the kitchen and bar. Our waiter was fantastic! He had a great sense of humor, checked in on us and made excellent recommendations. What to try: a drink from Parlour - the drinks are good and strong, creative for sure! The pork belly. you won't regret it!"

  • "Went for Restaurant week, since I've heard such great things. I wasn't impressed with any of the items I sampled."
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "Food had great flavors but the portions were ridiculously small!"
    Dined on 2/28/2014
  • "We participated in Restaurant Week. The menu was limited and the portions small. Every other restaurant we dined at offered at least 3 choices in each menu section. The food was good but nothing exceptional. We also ordered the octopus (which my son and husband loved) and the cheese plate- small portion but tasty. We wanted to try some of their signature items which were not options on the Restaurant Week menu. Our wait staff was friendly and reasonably attentive- again not the best we have had. It's unlikely we'll be back."

  • "This would be considered fit for foodies if there is actual food on your plate. Getting an appetizer of two tiny tortellini in some broth would not be considered a normal size to anyone. We eat everywhere we are total foodies. That food was good not fantastic. We have no problem spending money on food but my husband got the hamachi "full size" appetizer for $14 and got three slices wafer sized slices the size and thickness of a carnival ticket. Tasted good but my husband pretty much exclaimed that he need to go home and eat."

  • "We dined with Borough during restaurant week...they had a prix fixe menu with few, but perfect options. The food was fantastic and unique. And, each course was spaced perfectly. I'd say we certainly didn't feel uncomfortably stuffed when we left, but we did feel satisfied. We will dine with Borough again and will recommend to others."

  • "Truly great cocktails at parlor and borough. Enjoy the ambience. Have eaten here twice- second time for restaurant week. Overall inventive food and attentive service - portions too small for restaurant week."

  • "Great presentation of food, fantastic flavors, creative plates. A fun and fancy dining experience."

  • "Great experience aside from the service. From the bartender who served us while waiting for our table to the server, everyone felt rather unattentive. Very professional when they did finally serve us, but perhaps all were just stretched too thin in their responsabilities to patrons..."

  • "Borough has amazing food and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They also try to source everything locally which is a plus. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The only thing to note is that portions are what I would call "european" style, not american sized, so if you're looking to be stuffed you won't be."

  • "My wife and i have gone to some great restaurants for special occasions. We spent 130 bucks for two and usually hope to be blown awayt with flavor. Not so much. The inredients were expensive but the chef didn't do them justice. The bachelor farmer and heartland blew us away with every bite."

  • "We really enjoyed the dinner experience, food, service, and ambience.. It was a wonderful place to go for restaurant week. We had their special offerings with the wine pairing. The presentation was beautiful and delicious, and it was great that they were not afraid to match red wine with chicken, fish etc. Most of all, we enjoyed an after dinner drink downstairs. We just decided to check it out and the mixologist was terrific and very interresting. Fun place with great atomosphere. Seems like a great place to have a drink, and a little something to eat along with a friendly conversation. We definitely will be back."
