Our waiter was especially knowledgeable about the food and different food pairings and was extremely relatable and personable. He really put us at ease and made our experience that much more enjoyable. We even received a complimentary dessert that was absolutely delicious. You can park your car with the valet at Bordinos, eat dinner at 6:30, attend a play at 8, and pick up your car after the play around 10:45. Easy and seamless. No hassles with parking. The food is absolutley delicious and the portion sizes are perfect (we always leave comfortably full but not miserable from eating too much). The staff is also always friendly, polite and very knowledgeable about the menu. Personally, the balsamic vinegar dressing was flat but the rest of the salad (pecans, spinach, goat cheese, mandarin oranges) was flavorful.
I did find it interesting that the restaurant CALLED to confirm my reservations (thought I had a confirming email)and they did tell me that we could come in earlier to see if we can get a table earlier. The only reason I knocked it down to a 4 star rating overall was the service between drinks, appetizer and main course was actually too short. I know that sounds like a strange thing to say but normally if we are going out for a date night to a place like Bordinos we are planning on it being maybe 75-90 minutes for the dinner. Once we placed our order we had our appetizers out almost immediately and when we finished those our main courses were right out afterwards. We actually laugh a little bit at the table about it. So I hate to knock the experience because the food delivery was too on-time. Like I said, just one small suggestion. I had the Salmon with Couscous and grilled tomatoes and my boyfriend had the Duck with Sweet potato and zucchini hash. Both dishes were prepared superbly and had an excellent presentation. A dim seating area with enough light to see by, but it created a nice ambiance for a romantic dinner. The artwork was intriguing and supplied a number of conversation topics. The staff was friendly and professional. I ordered the duck gnocchi and my husband ordered the fish of the day-tilapia. The duck gnocchi was delicious and the tilapia dish was so-so. We felt the dish didn't have too much flavor but our overall experience at Bordino's was fabulous. It's a great place for a nice dinner with your significant other or with a small group.
