Beautiful setting and excellent food especially in an area where fried food is king. I had baked brie that was just right not too sweet and a spinach and strawberry salad that was delicious. There were fresh vegetables too which was so excellent. Not just green beans or corn swimming in butter but a vegetable medley or petite veggies cooked al dente. My husband had a steak that was cooked perfectly to his liking and the dessert was delicious. Not the usual cheesecake or key lime pie or tons of chocolate goo. My husband and I both had steak, the ribeye and the top sirloin, on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed! The roasted garlic mashed potatoes were so delicious and the vegetable medley was prepared to perfection! Service was fast and friendly. Our server was attentive, but not intrusive! My steak was outstanding, cooked just like I like it and then improved with the sauce and carmelized onions!! He had the crab stuffed flounder which was absolutely delicious. The sides were just right for the entrees. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to all our friends (and we'll return as often as possible!)4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our forth experienceThis was our forth experience dining at Booker-Lewis. We are never disappointed. This particular visit was most pleasant because of the open table reservation. On a more personal note, I prefer the restaurant because of the white table cloth (as opposed to your arms sticking to the table at a "cat fish" joint where they wipe the table with the same rag used to clean chairs, etc.).(restaurants that dismis this concern are off my choice listings)
Our waitress on this occasion was very pleasant and efficient.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThe experience was going wellThe experience was going well until the unprofessionalism of the owner came out as her berated our waitress in front of the dining area for their customers to see. I felt it was highly unnecessary and uncalled for as it was my drink and he was in the wrong about what I wanted.
