It was amazing, the food was above expectation, the service phenomenal and the setting was spectacular. We had a wonderful experience at Bonterra. Our server was helpful, friendly and attentive. He helped us pick the wine, appetizers and was knowledgeable about all the meals. We had a sixteen year old and two 80 + diners. The restaurant is bright and the tables are nicely spaced, so it was easy for our older guests to negotiate. The main room itself is well lit naturally by large church windows.
The waiters are Bonterra are experienced and many have been there for years. The professionalism and knowledge is very high. The menu has a variety of seafood and meat items, I think it had a choice for everyone. It also features some regionally raised or produced items like a Bison Ribeye. My wife and I had only eaten at Bonterra once before (on a very crowded evening) and had not had an especially memorable experience. Portions are not very large and prices are on the high side.

The waitstaff is well informed and helpful without being overbearing. The wine is very good. Regretfully, I have had two steaks at Bonterra (Filet Mignon and Beef Tenderloin) that were both sub-par. Not sure how you can mess up a Filet Mignon unless you start with inferior grade beef. The scallops are excellent and my wife likes the lamb even though the portions are very small. I don't mind paying premium prices but it would be great to have high quality
