Bonnell's private dining room seats up to 48 guests comfortably, and with independent sound and lighting, the room can be fully private, if desired, with drawn curtains. "We went to Bonnells for dinner. The ambiance was great because of the design of the restaurant we never felt like we were too close to another table, the food delicious, the service was excellent. This was definitely not your ordinary taste of Texas. The variety on the menu and the opportunity to create custom sampler plates for appetisers was a welcome excuse to not commit to only one item, that would have been a difficult decision. The buffalo and the Elk mains were both very good, there was no clear winner.. either would be gladly ordered again."

"THIS PLACE IS AN OUTSTANDING PLACE TO EAT. THE VENISON APPETIZER AND THE ELK TACOS ARE DELICIOUS. WE LOVE THE JALAPENO VINEGARETTE. EVERYTHING ON THIS MENU IS AWESOME. WE ALWAYS EAT HERE IF WE ARE SOUTHWEST FORT WORTH. WE LIVE 1 1/2 HOURS NORTH OF FORT WORTH."

"Took my wife here for her birthday. First trip. Hostess was cordial and attentive to our request. Server was well informed and also very attentive. Good recommendations to us. Chef Bonnell stopped by twice and personally delivered the complimentary birthday dessert (banana sundae). App: Elk Mini-tacos were excellent. Entrees: Redfish (her) and Elk tenderloin (me). Side: Grits trio, which we ordered after tasting the portion that came with our taco appetizer. Interior is a little dated perhaps, but the food and service were excellent. We'll be back."

"The menu and the food are remarkable. It is tough to find that type of food and the quality anywhere in the metroplex. I did however have to return the Bonnell's Cabernet because it was terrible. I don't know if it turned or the selection of wine was just not good. I found the same at Tim Love's place. Restaurant labels are simply sub standard. Our server was great and returned the wine without a problem. The antelope was remarkable."

"Drove from Dallas with my girlfriend, she had never been. We had buffalo tenderloin with added scallops for a surf and turf combo we split. Sheila recommended it for us, we were talking about splitting the special of scallops. We also did the sampler of 4, venison carpaccio was awesome, my friend had the oyster, I liked the fried green tomatoes. We had a bottle of cakebread that was yummy! Great for a chicks lunch. My friend described it as old school and spectacular."

"Our first trip to Bonnell's was for my husband's 30th birthday. Wow! What a treat! The elk mini tacos had excellent flavor and were a great way to start the meal. My pork chop was unbelievable, the grits were to die for and my husband's elk, quial and pheasant trio was perfectly prepared. The big hit of the evening was the Texas shaped moon pie personally delivered by Jon Bonnell! We are looking forward to our next trip so we can try the Texas cheese tray and maybe even the kangaroo."

"My husband and I eat out several times a week. We'd been looking forward to dining at Bonnell's but unfortunately we were both sorely disappointed in the whole experience. The price justified much better food quality and service than what we received. We had an early dinner reservation and asked for a quiet table; however, we were soon surrounded by several very loud tables while other areas of the restaurant remained empty and quiet."
